Most likely your name is not on a "list". The scum use a computer to dial. They can dial a million-plus numbers a day and if it's you day, you can't do anything to stop them except block the numbers (which are probably spoofed).

Some how I have trouble including charities and Political calls as honest business's.  Note that "charities" are actually proscribed as "non-profits". Therefore, the great majority of them are not really "charities" but businesses that pay themselves 90% of the donations and political groups (often religious in nature or funded by Big Business PACs) claiming tax exempt status.

Political calls go without saying.

Well this is the 3rd weekday in a row that they've called & didn't leave a message so I guess it's time to block...

The DNC only protects from the honest business's.  And its for telemarketers, charity's, Political and some survey's are exempt.  Most of the honest ones will remove you and put you on a internal DNC when asked. Otherwise, you need to contact the Political Parties directly and tell them DNC and they will remove you, and you can sign up for the political DNC (this works pretty well really)  http://stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php  Then when one does call, you simply go directly to their web site (most have them) and email them a DNC letter, I included the url for the political DNC for the one I have had over the last 12 years or so and told him to use it! :)

So that only leaves the illegal Telemarketers, scammers, extortion scammers, fake Windows support scam and frauds.. and those people do not obey laws period!  Some of those are in foreign country's and thats a whole new puddle of red tape, but it does happen that they get caught.. And the scammers caught in the US get the go to jail card and heavy fines on the illegal telemarketers.

They called me yesterday & now again today.  Caller ID says "HOME SECURITY".  Thanks again DoNotCall.gov for taking our tax money & pissing it away on whatever...

"Jamie" called @1:31 pm today to sell me a home security system. I told him I did not need one, I already had one, and I was on the DO NOT CALL list and not to contact me again. He just said "You know there's no such thing as a No Call List, don't you?" and hung up.

After a two month hiatus, this number called again.  This time cid said "home security".  Me no answer phone, thank you very much, and come again soon!

"Unknown name" called from this number 2-27-13.  Refusing to answer unknown or suspicious cid numbers has drastically cut down on the volume of telemarketers calling me.  I used to play with them, or use them to vent life's frustrations, but really it's just a waste of what's left of my sanity.

Caller ID says "Home Security" and previously, messages left on answering machine by robot, offering home security system.

It's a company in India.

I get calls from these companies all the time, I play along with them all the way up to when they want to send the installer and ask for my phone number, I then ask them they should know my phone number since you call me 4 or 5 times every day. I tell them every time you call I will waste your time just like you waste my time. Then the calls stop for a week and then start back up. Will keep playing along with them.

Home Security called...my little girl (age 8) answered and politely said "sorry, we are on the DNC list, thank you"...the female caller said "is that you or your parents bi***, cause their ain't no moth******ing do not call list"...obviously we are very unhappy with this.  I attempted to call the number back with the same results posted above...you get an option to select 1 to be place on the Do Not Call list (ironic yes?) or 2 to speak to a "live person" ... if you select 2 you get a mailbox that is full.

So, these morons now have my number on their list.  Received a call a few minutes ago.  I always hit the 'answer' button, followed immediately by the 'hang up' button, so I don't have to listen to the phone ringing.  Caller ID shows 'Home Security'.

The person calling tonight called my husband a "ingnorant F**K", this is totally out of control, something mut be done!

Keep getting hang up calls from this number.  when I call it they say I have been contacted by a telemarketer.
To be put on a do not call list they want my full 10 digit phone number. which I do not give them.  I call them back several times just to jam their lines.  Everyone who gets a call from this number should call them back several times and tie up their line as long as possible.  Judging from other complaints about this "number" they must hire some perverts and degenerates to man their phone.  I have never been able to get a live person on the line.

The Do Not Call list only works for legal businesses. Therefore, the ones still calling are scams. When you're on the list, but still get a call, it's a scam. They're not following the Do Not Call law because they are illegal organizations trying to steal your money. Make sense? If you are on the list, the *only* calls you get are scams. Do not answer. Do not talk to them. Do not call them back.

Received a call but they left no message. Had a friend look up the phone number by computer which is where we are. Assume it's a telemarketer in Texas trying to sell more home security systems. Double ought is the only security I need if they get past my dog.

I answered, it was a robo dialed call but a human picked up up saying GE Home Security systems. Immediately, I calmly but clearly asked her the following Q verbatim ... "the last time you had sex with your father, were you on top or bottom?"  As you might imagine she shrieked something about "disgusting" ... and yes it is ... but I'm just as offended by marketers calling me anytime especially mealtime-evening news (637PM)  when I'm on DNC list. Will my repugnant Q do any good? Maybe, maybe not ... but I got a bit of satisfaction by returning the favor and bothering them.

And, she hung up on me, doncha know!

This number called at 11:17 a.m. Central time with the caller ID of "Home Security."  I wasn't in the mood to play, and we were in the middle of lessons anyway, so I let the machine pick up.  They did not leave a message.  After finding the number here and reading what's been said, it's another number that will go on my call block list.  Love that feature.  It works at least until the scammers changer their CID clone.

I hate to tell you this but the Do Not Call List does work. Unfortunatelt, only legit companies use it.  When was the last time you got a telemarketing call from a real company. These guys are scammers. Why would they use the Do Not Call list. If you notice, the only calls you are getting now are from scammers.

Just tell them you have an 17th century cannon for security. A cannon powerful enough to take down a scammers boiler room.
