This is a call center in Dallas that farms resumes off of sites like Career Builder then tries to match jobs. Sort of the bottom of the bucket as far as recruiters go. Generally they speak very poor English...

Just got a call from this number. I didn't answer (I never answer unless I recognize the number) and they didn't leave a message. Googled the number and found it here - figured as much.

you do realize the do***ebag is NOT the one who gets the money if you pay to find out his name and address, right? it's the company who pays for www.freephonetracer.com website that gets the money.

Got the call a few hours ago. Didn't answer because I couldn't find the phone for a few seconds. Leftt message about federally regulated hardship payments. Same thing with the we will only call this one time. Curious, I googled the phrase and saw there were pages of sites referencing the phone number or the phrase. Sure am glad I had trouble locating my phone for those few seconds. Will be reporting this. I may be wrong, but isn't it still illegal to call a cell number and try selling something? It has to do with the fact that the person called is charged for the time no matter who generated the call
Glad I took the time to check on thiss

(29 Apr 2012) The recorded message claims that they sent me credit card information in the mail and they are following up with that information. To further bolster their (fraudulent) claim, they continue to say that my credit card companies have authorized them to contact me concerning their program designed to lower my interest rates but that this is a limited time offer so I must press 1 to be connected to one of their operators.
Funny, I don't give my cell phone number out to businesses.

I got a call from this number. It was silent as it often is when there is a robo-call. Then a woman said,"This is Ann" I blocked the number and hung up

My son has this number in his phone and I attempted to find out who it was for. (Yes, mom is doing her duty keeping track on the sly - concerned about her teenage son). All I could find was a wireless provider out of Dallas TX. Another search showed it was some type of paging center and that's all. I used my landline to call it and received a recording about hardship situations and to press 1 for being taken off their list but they wanted me to punch in my number, which I did not...I hung up.

I contacted my carrier yesterday, after I responded to your post.
I received this response;

Is there like some site to track down this duchebag caller, so I can smash his dialer, and maybe rip the lan line from his trailer home?
Gingersnap 2012-04-12 22:29:59 Unknown
I received a call from this number yesterday afternoon. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize, and no one left a message. It's a landline in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. What's really a scam is all these reverse phone number websites that say you can look up a number for free, but then all they'll tell you is whether it's a cell phone or a landline and what area it's in, and if you want to know the caller's identity, there's a charge for that! Every single one of those sites does the same thing!!! They all stink!

got a call from this number and leave no message??? Must be scam...
Yellow Rose of Texas 2012-04-12 21:00:35 Unknown
Never answer calls from numbers I don't have in my cell address book. When I get a call like this I just add it to the address entry named "Do Not Answer." Saves a lot of frustration. Apparently the caller left a voice mail message. I'll delete that as soon as I have a moment to pick up my missed calls later today.
A 2012-04-12 20:32:48 Unknown
I picked up the phone and no one was there.
scam hunter 2012-04-12 20:27:26 Unknown
They ask "can you hear me?" So they can get a "yes" response on recording, basically they're conducting credit fraud. All they have to say in court is that they have a recording of you saying "yes".
Erika 2012-04-12 20:24:10 Unknown
Just as an fyi, do not call back numbers that you don't know from your cell phone. Many times just by calling the number back they will charge your cell phone with false charges, I had $40 worth of charges in one day from calling one of these stupid numbers back.

Automated message about "Follow-up phone call in regards to documentation sent by mail about lowering credit card interest". They claim it was authorized by your bank or financial institution.
Obviously a scam because no identifiable information is provided and Banks NEVER make this type of call and/or offer.
NEVER press #1 to get an agent because once that happens the individual's phone number becomes a "LIVE LEAD". (BAD IDEA)

I just received a call from them. They claimed to be from a company called 'Consumer Debt' a non-profit that helps people lower credit card debt. After he (Ramon) gave his opening speech I blasted him, being up to date on telemarketing regulations I tore him a new one and he hung up on me. Either don't answer the phone or have fun with them when they call...it's their dime :)
CJ 2012-04-12 17:54:24 Telemarketer
I actually got a voicemail...They said that they sent me some info on my credit card account and there is still time to take advantage of the offer. It is a recording. Offering to lower my interest rate. Bunch of crap!
