So if legit charities are exempt from the government do not call list, who do we contact and where to report illegal scam artist scum bags like these people?

I get these calls everyday and sometimes multiple calls per day. They even spoof or manipulate their caller ID with false or missing information when they show up on my caller ID screen.

I'm beginning to feel like I shouldn't even have a phone anymore. It's too much of a nuisance, thanks to scum like these people. I don't pay to have a phone to be scammed or harassed...

This number calls frequently. So annoying in a home with a disabled person.

Called at 9:15 a.m., no response when I answered....wanted to give them h...because I knew it was a telemarketer.  Idiots.

I just called them and asked if they wanted to donate $35, $50, of $75 to my local fire company. They said, "this is a business"... I said, I know...now you know how it feels!!!

It's the kids make a wish.  I told them no, I donate local.  At least they won't be calling back this year.  It was driving me nuts.

This number calls me just about everyday. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. I finally tried calling the number back and it was the Kids Wish Network.

Keep calling .  I don't answer 'cause there is no name on Caller ID.  They don't leavea message, so I assume it's a scam.

They pretended to be grandson (with a cold).  Knew his name, knew my name.  Did not know grandson's nickname.  Ended conversation at the point.

We have received calls every day, starting 1/31/13 through today when I just received ANOTHER one.  We have been getting scam calls (at least 5 - 10 a month) from CARD SERVICES (at least "CARD SERVICES" is what is showing in the Caller ID display), all on different phone numbers, but always the same message (recorded woman's voice robo calls)  left to "lower interest rates".  No one in our household will answer the phone any longer unless it's a number we recognize as someone we no.  The calls from this number only show a "period", or dot where the first letter would be in the caller id display and if a message is left, it's the old "busy signal".  The service provider for this number is Peerless Network from Dallas, TX.  I will be filing complaints with "Do Not Call", although there isn't much they can do as these numbers are hard for them to track.  I'm also going to file a complaint with Peerless Network about this, since they are the service provider.

I received a call from this roganization this morning.  By the time I answered thephone, the caller hung up.  I called the caller back and found that the caller was supposedly from Chirldren's make a Wsih Foundation-- which i erposanlly bo=doubt.  Myphone number is listed on The Do Not Call reigstry.  I have no past relatiosnhip with any organization like Make a Wish or VChirldren's charities.  Nor, am I a children's teacher.  however, my name is very similar to a woman who has impersonated me and has the frist name of carolynn and is invovled in alot of chidlren's charities.  This women who has used my anme and has impersoanted me before is a con artisit and has not real academic crdetnails of her own.  I am unable to obtain any from of academic emplyment because this woman whose name is so similar to my own has commtted a great deal of frau in my name.  I hoep that the FBI investigates this matter.  In adition, I reproted the last call I received from the user of this phone number to FTC.go just a few minutes ago.  In my opion, my persoanl impersonation and all of theses unsolicted phone calls are all tied toether by the same organization of Gyspsy scammer.  I hope that others who receive such phone calls also will reprot them to the FTC.

Follow-up: Learned more about Kids Wish Network which is behind these calls. It's a scam charity that spends most of its donations on for-profit fundraising activities. Now I'm almost glad they seem to have a defective robo-call device. It appears the phone calls they successfully make rip off enough well-meaning contributors each year to put many millions of dollars right into their own pockets! Challenged them about Kids Wish Network and they admitted it while lying about the previous calls ("That's not our number") but caller ID showed it was them. Told them to put us on their do-not-call list. Success! That was few weeks ago and since then calls have stopped.

No more phone calls from this number to my house

Interesting that so many people in this country are screaming about to much government our lives, but you want them to protect your privacy from telemarketers - really?  I'm trying to imagine the cost to tax payers for that one!

I have been receiving calls from 214-396-6556 with no one on the phone.  I finally tried to call the number back and was on hold for a long, long time.  Finally the recording came back on and they asked me to leave a message.  Even if this is a telemarketer, why don't they EVER have someone on the phone.  Makes me wonder if someone has a friend in Dallas making the calls just to find out if you are home.

Answered the phone and there was no one there. Most likely a robo call. hit CID and called the number back. Recording said it was a number not in service. Very strange.

I just received a call from this number on my landline..... I didn't bother to answer, because I didn't recognize the number...However, there has been a 'method' that I've used before to stop all these ridiculous calls... In fact, this is the first robocall I've received in MONTHS.... What a way to welcome in the New Year.....  I think I'm going to go ahead and submit my idea for the "FTC ROBOCALL CHALLENGE"!!..  If I win the $10,000 prize, then I'll let everyone in on my secret!!....LOL!

If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC and FTC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/contact.shtm.  If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. Recently, they shut down five of these scams.

I answered the phone and they would not answer...dead air...this is an invasion of the worst kind.
