Iam a Deputy. Do not call these people back or respond to their calls. They are scamming people into sending them money. No law enforcement authority would ever call you and demand money or state they will arrest you. Please report to your phone company and your local police dept.

I got the same type of message. Said he was from Department of Justice, Financial Crimes Enforcement Unit (Although the Financial Crimes Enforcement unit is part of the Department of Treasury). But this loser called from 401-603-0771

Received a call this morning, also used the name Jack Green. Left a message that said I was under investigation and it was my responsibility to contact them or be arrested soon. Was very poor recording with a terrible accent. Knew it was a scam so immediately googled the number. Hope they get caught.

Obvious scammer. With me, he used the name Jack Green. Had a badly-disguised accent, and coincidentally had called my brother and father in the same week with exactly the same message of pending legal action.

To the admins of this website:  please add another call type for 'scammer' and/or 'criminal'.  I put the call type as 'debt collector' but that's not quite accurate, as this isn't a legitimate debt collection business, just fraud.

Got a call and the story is the same as what you guys described.

If you pick up, don't forget to abuse them in really bad language. F words, C words, and whatever other bad words you know. They seem to like it.

Got a call from same number. Dallas based. Told me there was a warrant out for my father. My dad passed away 17 years ago. When I informed this fobby fool, he hung up on me.

Got a call from Chris Adams from IRS investigative department, Federal Id# 013786. Claimed that there is an outstanding warrant against me for not submitting form 61. On further questioning, he claimed that this form has to be submitted every 10 yrs, and our failure to respond to repeated mail queries has led to this arrest warrant. He wanted to know if I wanted to take care of this arrest warrant or else he will ask the MD police to arrest me within 30 mins. When I asked him, "what taking care meant?" He replied that I have to pay $3891.00, or else at the end of this conversation police will come to arrest me. When I told him there was no IRS form 61 in their web site. He ended the conversation saying that he will ask MD police to arrest me in the next 30 mins.

I found out this message is to make you aware of that we-have(?) received a leak in case because-i-they-anything-you(?) feel me. You leaving your identity on their hole-in(?) investigation now time is a shocker you-are-the-just-let-it-sent-to-you(?) I need you to give us a call back on our number is 2144160423. If you please could call a-alone(?) unless possible before the legal action. Goodbye."

Got a voice mail today. Called stated my full name and left a threatening message. Caller ID is from Dallas TX.

I received similar call  to intimate me. I don't give my information on the phone.

My friend got the same call.  Same basic story as everyone else.  Claims of getting my friend arrested etc etc.  
I looked up the number and got to this site and realized this is just another scam.  I told my friend to call the police and report this to the local police.

I revived the call saying I owe $5840 to IRS paid this amount so we can close the case or else we will sent your arrest warrant and the person name Lara said my call me listing from 3 different lawers this and that (214) 416-0423. I really don't what is all this about and who should I contact to report this

Yeah, I got the same scam number as well.. Thank god i found this site b/c it was a very scary experience at first. It seems like they are targeting asian-indians from the names that are on this site.

When I called back at phone #: 214-416-0423 for Stalla Brown, someone named David Marshal (with Indian accent) said you have outstanding balance at IRS and we will be coming soon to arrest you.  I stop speaking for couple of seconds (to gather my thought), and then I said ?I?m from IRS? and they hang up.  I Goggled the phone# and it looks like it was a scam.

We received a similar message and some Officer calling and asking us to call at this number as some federal investigation is going on. What a scam. People should be aware of it. Never give any info or money to these callers. One trick woud be to tell them to hold on while you connect local FBI or Police on other line and say "we can have a conference call now".

I got a similar message today from the same number (214-416-0423), claiming to be officer David Watson from National Crime Investigation and some affidavit was posted against me. If I didn't call asap he would start procedure against me. He had very thick accent (not American).  Ended with good luck and god bless you!
I called local police dept and they agreed that message doesn't sound professional law officers.

I received a call from this number as well. He said he is going to do some investigation against me. When i called back, he did not pick up the phone.

When I called back in response to their threatening voicemail ("you will be responsible for further legal action")I was told that there were 3 charges against me but wouldn't give me a chance to write them down. When I said I was reporting them to the FBI, he asked if I was going to pay or want the police at my door. On my insistence for his name, he spelled it out for me as F-U-C-K Y-O-U! I am angry and really do want to report them to someone higher than the BBB - any ideas?

The accent did sound Indian so I won't be surprised if it is a call center in India that is hired to make these calls and scam folks here.

I got this call around 11:30 am today. I told the Agent (?!) that I need an official letter of whatever the claim they are talking about and also told them that my Accountant would only respond. They declined to send a letter and disconnected.

From the names of various people, I se ethis could be targetting people of Asian-Indian ethnicity.
