Dave,Thanks for commenting.  With repscet to Proposition B, I was barely in favor and it is not a candidate and it does not appear to increase the budget.With repscet to Meg Whitman, yeah, I saw that, and was unhappy, thinking she has cut a backroom deal.  But you've got to admit that Jerry Brown is getting far more union support.

They just called my cell phone and when I tried to call back, I get nothing but a recording that says the lines are busy

Called today, have called several times in the past.  They ask me for my name and private information.  Say they are in a collection service, eventhough i have nothing in collections and don't have any credit cards.  Sounds to me like they are trying to just get personal information.

Calls started today Jan 23rd and no one is leaving any messages.

they called me by my name and then put me on hold.  I hung up and tried to call back and all I get is a busy signal.

They just called me.  Asked for me by name, and then asked me to verify the last four of my SSN.  They had it wrong -- said sorry and then hung up quickly before I could ask any questions.  How annoying.

They just called my cell phone, showed as missed call. When I tried to call back, I only get a recording that says, "The lines are temporarily busy"

If you get phone calls from this number do not give any personal information out. It is an idenity theft scam trying to get your social security. Again i urge if they call you either do not answer and if you Do never give any personal information no matter how much they say they need to verify the information.

Just got a call from this number too.  It makes sense that they are a bill collecter, I've been having some major problems with Lowes.  They are trying to charge me for a credit card that wasn't mine.

Anyway, I too don't answer any phone calls from places I don't know.  I also block the number if I find out its a telemarketer, bill collector, or some idiot who just likes to crank call.

Apparently the bill collectors find it important enough to call you under different phone numbers without any ID but not important enough to leave a message on a machine.

Btw, I've never even had a citybank loan of any kind.

Report the last the Attorney Generals office.  Copy Capital One or whomever they claim to represent because they ultimately are responsible for the actions of their agents.  To use any language other than civil is illegal.

i've been getting calls from this number as well....i've never had an account with citibank....had one with texaco almost 20 years ago....there's no reason they should be trying to contact me much less have my cell number!!!.....someone mentioned calling dateline....may not be a bad idea....this seems to be some kind of scam....i haven't tried calling the number back either

Get many calls from this number.  Never any messages.  Haven't answered it but did try and call the number back.  (the call wouldn't go through).  I know somebody above, says it's a bill collector from citibank, but I don't have any bills that haven't been already paid for, so that couldn't be it.

called today, mother answered, then msged me the following:

I just got a call from a collection agency for a Capital One Credit card I supposedly had back in 2000.  I have a balance owing of $___

I thought all my cards were covered in the bankruptcy, but she says it's still open

This same number 214-416-2069 just called my cell.  I heard a message, "please wait for an important message." Then it hung up.  I tried to call back.  I received a "please try your call again thing.  They better not call back -wasting my minutes!

I got a call today on my cell at 1:36pm, they left no message. I see some of you said this is from Citibank, but I've never done anything with them nor has anyone I know (to my knowledge). I'm in Lafayette, LA. Who knows...

I believe this is a Dallas, TX number.  I just got a call from there too and I am wondering if it has to do with my concert tickets.  I have a concert coming up in Dallas and I haven't not received my tickets...
