Don't count on it. They are calling me at work on my direct line asking for someone that has never worked for my company ever.  I have asked them several times to quit calling me and to remove my number and I received another call from them today.  Whoever this Brenda Gardner is they are really looking for her.

This is a number for CommonWealth Financial....they are a bottom feeding THIRD party collection company...they are ruthless and break state and federal laws!  Tell them you will only deal with the original creditor!!!

I think I've gotten calls from them before. Got one a couple of minutes ago with a recording of "To hear this message in English, please press one." Funny, if you don't reponse, the message repeats only once and then absolute silence.

But, yes, the caller ID said Plano, Texas but no company name.

Got a call a few minutes ago from 2143270032. The caller stated the same wordage " If you want to hear this in English please press 1."

I am so sick of recieving calls from this company for a man named Ronald S.  I'm NOT Ronald, but they call me almost every day!!  No matter who I talk to, they always say they will remove my number from their system, but they keep calling!  SO SICK OF IT!

I received a call from this company regarding a debt from over 7 years ago that is no longer reported on my credit report.  I am not white trash and would have paid the bill had we not had devastating events happen during that time period. (For those Judging people out there.)  The debt is officially a zombie debt now and when I asked for the address to send a Don't Call/Only Write letter, they would not give me the address.  Thanks to the person who included it on this forum.  Please be aware that any agreements to pay after this has left your credit report can restart the timer!

I have call the company that say I owe money to and they said that they have never gave my information to the. I have check my credit report an MCC comes up quiet often. The company had posted that I was late on some payment on my credit report. And that is how they get you information. They check alot of peoples credit report and then tries to collect the debt. I have a very young son and they keep telling him that he has a debt that needs to be paid. And we checked his credit report and there is nothing there. The are just trying to get money. We even get letters from them. We paid them one time and they did not pay the County Hospital that they said we owed. I did pay with a check and took that check to the hospital when they called me about the bill. This company is a scam.

I get this caller on my cell. I don't answer callers that do not leave a message. It's interesting to know they are collectors. I owe no debt at all. That's the funny part. I think they are fishing for information that people unwittingly provide over the phone.

Have received numerous calls from this number and never a message left. Tonight I decided to answer and had to hold to speak to someone. The man who said his name was John and he is with Commonwealth Finanial came on and asked why I called. I responded you called me and who is this company. He tried to get me to verify my information and I would not. I asked him what he had and I would verify if he had correct info. At this point he became very rude and wound up hanging up on me because I would not cooperate and divulge my information. Sounds like a scam practice to me since he would not tell me what his business was or why he would like to speak with me.

This is a scam. We are a business. They call everyday. Rest assured everytime I am transferred to a person...They hang up on me no matter how nice and polite I try to be. Every single day.

When I answered they said press #1 for English, I did that,and the message repeated  3 times.
Never did get  real person.If I did owe the debt,how would I be able to contact them.

They keep calling my brand new cell number, told them they had wrong number and they just keep calling back REDICULOUS!

I get several calls from this number every single day! Usually, I don't answer calls I don't recognize. One time I answered it. A recorded message came on. It was about debt relief. I own all my possessions, including my home. I owe no debts. I think the callers are randomly selecting numbers. I like the cease and desist letter idea.

Someone from this number calls our home number several times a day but never leaves a message;
when you call back they do not answer then someone from another number calls, leaves a message
for Robert that it's about a debt and hangs up.  There has never been a Robert at this number and
no one here has a name that has Robert in it.  We are thinking about having our number changed
or phone disconnected as this is getting very annoying; we don't owe anyone anything!!

Received a call from this number to my SkypeIn - picked up, silence there.
Called back - line gets picked up in ~2 sec, silence again.
Googled the number, got here.
I see so many people here frustrated and struggling trying to figure out "why" and "who".
Don't waste your time!!!
I don't personally believe you can get in more trouble than you are in already, by missing a phone call from IRS or bank or any legal and really important agency. If they need to get you, they will - regardless of your efforts to help or stop them.
So, why should you help anyone, except those whom you trust, to identify you and get connected???

Here what I suggest to anyone:
- Make white lists of numbers you really know you need to pick up calls from, and never answer any other call.
- Keep black lists of numbers you definitely DON'T NEED to pick up. Compile lists of these numbers from site like that, most of scam numbers are known for years - put them into your address book or get Google Voice number and filter there.
- If you manage to answer a call from unknown or new caller ID, NEVER say "hello" or "speaking" or anything meaningful. Blubber any word in any foreign language if you know one, or clap, kiss, hiss, whistle, keep silence, anything EXCEPT what they expect. - In any case, let THEM speak first. If it's a robot (any pre-recorded message), hang up and add this number to your black list. If there's human and they do not identify themselves CLEARILY, pretend you don't speak any English, or speak some very limited. Let them give you more info first, and don't confirm anything back.
- Don't tell anything meaningful, let alone truth. You can always apologize later if it comes to be a mistake. No, it's not you. No, you're not human. And again, if you don't see any obvious signs it's a legitimate agency in, say, 15 seconds, hang up immediately and add the number to black list.

Generic: be jerks of jerks on the phone, it's a war now! The war for YOUR time and money.

I keep getting calls from this number, telling me to hold as they connect me to an operator.  When the operator greets me with "hello" and nothing else, I would ask them why they called.  They would just hang up on me and call me again the next day.  Finally I got a real jerk on the phone, who insisted he didn't call me.  After he became angry over my suggesting he tell me why he called, he asked for someone that doesn't even live here.  It is obviously a collections company, that employs very rude people.

Same here.  I waded through the system and when I finally got a human being they hung up on me.  Funny thing is that I am getting collection calls for the guy that had this number before me.  I can't even let them know that I am not their target.

Funny thing is that about 95% of the people that work for these scum collecting companies are trash and probably owe more debt than anybody they call. Then they want to come on here and judge like they are perfect... Ha.. I used to work for a collection company like this about 10 years ago while in college. Most rode in on the bus or had a piece of trash car because their credit was horrible, couldn't afford gas, lived paycheck to payhcheck, lived in the hood etc..

How ironic... They should collect on themselves first..

This number continues to call my child's cell phone.  They want a lady name cynthia...I have asked to have this number taken off of the list because it is not the people they are looking for.  I finally got a name and address of the company to send a letter.  MCC Common Wealth Financial Services
245 Main Street, Dixon City, PA  18519...was told John Kotula was the CFO...I'm sending her a letter.

Were you one of those kids nobody wanted to play with because you were such a know it all smart a**? I looked up ALL the cases against this company, its not such a noble company like you are trying to make it out to be. They have multiple cases that were won against them for harrasment and trying to collect on debt they had no right to, and illegal practices. So you can get off the NCO tit now. They are not just a debt collection agency they are an illegal practice wannabe.
