Received an email saying my credit card had been compromised from an email assigned to the Dallas Children's Hospital with this phone number listed. The email contained a link to a website asking for my name, account #, birthdate and SSN. Obviously phishing and routed through the hospital.

Note that *any* call from inside hospital will show that number.... most "weird" and hangup calls are from patients' rooms... made by infirm and or drugged up/recovering people.... very prone to misdial, be confused, etc....

Seem like no reason to think abuse in this case.

So I received a call from Children's Medical Center in Dallas today at 4pm but didn't answer because I didn't get my phone out quick enough.

214-456-7000 is Children's Medical Center. Their internal phone system is set up to identify with the main number for all outgoing calls. If someone is sloppy and enters your number in one of their FAX machines, it will call you repeatedly. It is a problem their IT department needs to fix. The outgoing calling line identification ought to provide the originator's phone number so you can call them to have the FAX calls cancelled.

My wife used to work at Children's Medical as a receptionist until she found out that the souls of the patients who died where still there. On the nights she was off her cell phone rang with the number 214-456-7000 and she heard voices of patients she had checked in months ago and were currently deceased

Recd this call 3 times at 3:30 am and did not answer.  This needs to stop.

called at 8pm on Tues., 11/29/11 on my cellphone. Did not lv. a msg. Googled # and saw it's from a Children's Hospital in Dallas. My 1st thought that one of my kids is hurt. That was not the case so...idk

Verified. It's from Childrens Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Any call made from inside the hospital will show up on your caller ID as (214) 456-7000. It seems that a lot of people are getting unknown calls from these people. Are they spamming us?

This number called me on my work phone. When I answered she said she had the wrong number.

Called my cell at 1:12 p.m. November 16.  Did not find out who called as they hung up about the same time I answered

me too i jus got tha call he asked for me but he only said my first name and he said he was from childrens medical center but i tought it was a prank call cuz he sounded wierd so i hung up and and searched the number up on google an it led me to here...but i dnt give out my number im only 16 ...that kind of stuff should be delt with my mom

Yes- this is Childrens Medical Center Dallas main number- I work there; any call made from inside the hospital will show this number on your caller id

Recieved call 7/24/08, didn't answer and thought it was random, googled the number and found this site.... weird.

Received call at 12:21 PM on 30 Nov on my cell phone.  Background noise sounded like a call center.  Caller hung up after I stated my company's name.
