I received a call from this number 214-484-2901, by a feamle with a foreign accent. She had my old zip code and atated that I was selected for a $7000 grant. I asked her to repeat the dept., which was US grant dept. She stated that I was selected along with 1500 other people in my area. I informed her that I believed the call was scam and she told me she could give me the name and number of her a senior acct. manager for him to verify the call wasn't a scam. The woman asked me how I would like to receive the money, mastercard, visa, or cash. I told her cash and she asked for the mailing address to where the cash could be sent.I hung up and called the number back, which I got a message from Verizon stated the nuumber I have called has either been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service. As I was listening to the message, caller from the same number was trying to reach me again. I did not answer. I knew it was a scam. DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!

Ive been getting calls from this number, and I want it to stop. I wish for thier immediate termination in their services, because obviously they deal in fraudulent service if they keep on calling without so much as a response.

Got a call from 214 484 2901 and they asked for Noreen. The phone is in my uncle's name, so it is very odd how this female knew to ask for Noreen. I just hung up but when I tried to call that number, for one solid hour - that I tried- it rang busy.

IT IS A SCAM!!! I checked it out. They called me and I asked for documentation via e-mail explaining in detail what the grant detailed exactly and the woman with an Indian-sounding accent hung up. Never confirm vital information with these scammy people. Consider whether or not you completed an application or visited a website online and gave out personal information. Sometimes the websites you visit or things you subscribe to online give third parties your information. I am not the most computer savvy, but I think "cookies" (technical jargon) often make it possible for your internet browsing to be tracked or monitored in some way, shape or form. You can go to "tools" I believe, and clear "history" and delete "cookies" after each browsing section. The internet is very useful, but humans created it and, well, we're not perfect.

Same thing happened to me about us government granting me 7000.00 and how it's not taxable and I won't have to pay a dime back. Said that I was one of the very few picked out of 1700 people from my city and my name and address was chosen. The funny thing is if they really were the us government and not some stupid scam artists they'd know I am only 17 until August. Flipping idiots I swear!!!!

A guy called me from this ph# stating I was chosen to get $7,000 from the US Gov. Gave me a Conf # & told me to call: 315-636-5329. I knew it was a scam. Called the ph# just to see how far they were going to go. Spk w/a lady who said her name was Svetlana Ranch. Told me to go to Western Union, take my I.D & a $200 security fee. Said to call her back when I get there, I asked for her name & address. She gave me 200 Independence Ave, HHH Bldg - Washington, DC 20201. Told her thanks for the info so I can report her.

US Grant Department. A man or woman (indian or arabic) who tells you you won 7,000 in grant money, then asks how you want to receive it and for your name and address. She knew my old address, then gives me a 'comfirmation number' and another number to call. Which gets me an arabic man, supposedly named Rick Miller. Then he says he wants to get 'paper work' and I should call him back in ten minutes.
I am not sure, the number is registered to Texas, but I think this is a scam call. Doesn't seem like any legit call I have ever gotten from a goverment agency.

They just called and hung up. Not sure who they are. Might have been a wrong number, but I came here to look because I have been getting a lot of telemarketers lately calling my cell phone.
