This company is a rip off.  They charge me a very high interest rate to start with.  I was paying on time for the first 3 years however they didn't apply hardly anything and quite a few time nothing toward the principal loan.  I did get behind but not 4 months.  They call my home phone from 8am until 10 pm every 30 to 45  minuntes at a time. I have given them money for nothing. I have had a nervious breakdown because of this.  I will never buy anything through this company ever again.

Calls sun up to sun down are there not laws reguarding harassment?

Well, as far as I am concerned HSBC appears to do business as nicely as the scammers in Compton,
California.  Indeed, they sound just like them.  And I have never done business with HSBC or the scammers in Compton, California.  So basically HSBC is harrassing the wrong person, not the person they are actually looking for.  I am seriously considering a legal judgement or injunction against harassment and civil damages against HSBC for the various forms of duress and trouble they are causing me.  No mine in not a new phone number, so there is no way it should be associated with their defaulted loan or whatever it is that they want.  And thanks to the warnings of other poster on this site,
it seems my best course of action in the meantime is to just not answer any of their calls.

I agree with all of the posts.  They call 10 to 12 times a day.  When I do talk to them they will only tell me that "because I answered the phone they wont call again for 24hrs."  And this is the company our Gov gave money to, to stay afloat?  Stay away from any company that has the letters HSBC!

They were calling me 6 to 8 times a day and hanging up.  When I called the number back I got a recording telling me to enter my account number or social security number!  I don't even have an account with HSBC!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately Verizon gave me a number that used to belong to a deadbeat the neeever ever paid their bills and now HSBC is hounding us. We have never had a loan! I called them back to get off their calling list and because I didn't have an account number (hello, maybe cause we don't have one!) they couldn't help me and very promptly hung up.

I am really getting tired of HSBC calling me at all hours of the day and evening.  I even have to turn off my cell phone at church on Sundays because they are calling me then.  I am behind on half a payment and they know that I won't be able to pay them until the first of the month...but yet they still keep calling me.  I will never finance through them ever again.

just got another call from these people at 7:30 p.m. on a sunday night. i thought it was against the law to get these kind of calls on sunday.they ask for someone that i dont know and then they hang up.

They are relentless! They call me at work and on my work cell within minutes of each other.  Do not give them your phone number or have it changed!

If only I'd known before buying....I've had my car for 3 years, paid, was almost out from under them but the buyers backed out and 2 years later am still not any further on my loan after paying over 3000$ more...They DO call all the time and for the last 3 weeks we've been trying to contact the "work outs dept" to arrange trying to sell the car and after all the work on my hubby's part by contacting and hoops we're trying to jump through, I left her 4 emssages and she's NEVER returned my messages (since they had to speak with me since it's in MY name) to let us know if she needed anything else and that we were still waiting for some of the income documents (Unemployment and Disability), or if she did call she didn't leave a message. SO then their collections dept call yesterday just after 8am (because while durring the "work out" process your payments are on hold) telling me they showed the last time they spoke to anyone was over 1 month ago (NOT TRUE!) and that she dropped us from the program... SO I start trying contact her, someone in collections tells me call her after 10am your time, so I tried and kept getting transferred then told they weren't opened and to call back durring normal business hours ALL DAY! I will never have another car loan again especially not from them....

On top of the outrageous 15% interest rate I have with HSBC auto, I pay $6.50 a day for some other fee that has yet to be explained to me. Even when I was months ahead on my car pmt, they would still charge me the $6.50 a day till the next time I paid. I have asked repeatedly for an ammerization schedule and still have not received one. I HATE THIS COMPANY!

They call at least 15 times a day doesn't matter what time.  Sunday should be a day of rest but not for them.  Hound hound hound.  When is it enough.  Won't ever do bussiness with this company again.  I'd rather walk.

I got a call from this number and when I called it back I couldn't understand the person on the other end.  I finally got to someone I could understand and made a payment arrangement.  Don't you know they still called me everyday right up to the arrangement date.  I got to the point where I didn't even answer my phone.  And for them to call on a Sunday...THATS JUST WRONG !!!!!!
And another thing when they call they don't leave a voice mail.

This call is from HSBC.....when you've experienced a hardship, you can give them all the information they need for their records including the expected payment date and they will still call relentlessly. Apparently, their 'computers' allow them to call from overseas in India- every hour from 8am CST to just after 8pm CST.....and then you get someone to recognize that you've picked up the line they're calling on to ask again......wtf?

Do not do business with this company and if you have a current loan, refinance with someone else for peace of mind.

This is an unbelievable story. I get HSBC's harassing calls on the number's previous owner. Sometimes they call before 8AM. I have my number for SIX YEARS now. After repeatedly telling them the number's owner had changed a long time ago (perhaps 8-10 times), I still get their spam calls as of TODAY!!!

They other caller ID they have is 2144886895.

This company is a hound! I get tired of the constant calls, from early morning to late at night, every 30-60 minutes. There should be some type of law banning this harrassment.

Called for an employee that no longer works here, then insisted on talking to the wife. Kept grilling me, asking "are you sure? they must be there, this is their number." I am very sure as I was the one who helped to organize this person's going away party!

They will not give up. I have forwarded this to our legal department to take care of.

Also have HSBC never will be a customer again (they called today) I'm not behind or have any issues at this moment.. but in the past i sent my payment they lost/misplaced/etc. Unfortunately i never saw that check cashed, the money was still in my account way after the due date so i called to see if they even received my payment? (i care about my credit) They told me without looking into the information that my check pounced and i was a bad person that didn't pay my bills, they didn't trust another check from me, and that i need to send them the money by western union RIGHT AWAY!
I also spoke with a manager he took care of my problem slightly, but still charged me late fees due to a mistake they made. Am very angry about it but i have learned my lesson and am ready to get out of this loan!

I completely agree with the other posts.  HSBC is terrible, if you have other options.

Not a fraudulent company, but beware if you take out credit with them. After my hospital stay I got behind on my bills, although I caught all of them up, this company will hound you for now on despite if your current or not. If your payment is due on the 7th of the month, and they do not have their money on noon that day, they will call you every hour relentlessly until your check is cashed....no lie...sun up till sun down....just a warning if you ever have a problem paying on time this, this company will treat you like a crook for the life of the loan.

They call my cell phone many many times day and night 7 days a week.  I answered it at first with no one on the other end.  They never ever leave a message.  I am sooooooo sick of them.  They are invading my life and they need to stay away from me.

I didn't know this was HSBC until I Googled the number and saw all of this stuff.  If they would have spoken I would have known.  My car will be paid off very soon, and that is not soon enough for me.

I have made arrngements with these people, and that stil call me all the time, this has to stop!

Keep calling me on my cell during my working hours. Then at night call my home phone. When I return the call they are rude and hang up without help or resolution.

IF YOU HAVE AN  HSBC ACCOUNT, YOU CAN LOG ONTO YOUR ACCOUNT AND CHANGE YOUR PHONE NUMBERS ON FILE. I TOOK MY WORK NUMBER OFF RIGHT AWAY, SO THEY ONLY CALL MY CELL THE DAY THE PAYMENT IS LATE. NOT TO WORRY, THEY DONT REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREAU UNTIL THE 30TH DAY. ALSO, IF YOU TELL THEM THAT YOU WILL MAKE YOUR PAYMENT ON A CERTAIN DAY, IT WILL STOP THEM FROM CALLING.
