I just got a text from this number. I live in McKinney, TX so I thought it was odd. The text asked for me to process a return in the amount of $250 for Jennifer Werpy who, when I googled her, found that she is a north Texas resident...even weirder that a name was mentioned.   When I called the number, they said it was a locksmith company but that they were not located in McKinney. I feel like I'm in Bizzarro World!

I have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.

But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

We ALL have to be diligent and report these crooks to www.donotcall.gov.  They will be shut down and fined, just let "them" know.

Card member services calling with "wonderful" information from Tiffany, Anne, Stephanie, or whoever the F*ck they pretend to be today.  I always press one to annoy the Sh*t out of them even for only a few seconds  before they hang up.

I receive an incoming call on my cell phone. Didn't take the call. Didn't try to return it, because i don't know anyone and figured if it's important, they'd leave a message. no message left.

I got this call from this number, but I didn't answer it, I blocked it.

Recorded call from Cardholder Serivces saying "There is nothing wrong with your accts, but...<I hung up>"

was late to answer, and when i called back it "cannot be completed as dialed" i know websites that allow people to call their friends for free. they're great tools to prank call. im not sure if this is one of them, but Texas would be a great location to have such a service for Americans.

We need protection from these unwanted callers.

It's the second time someone from this number called me. I tried to call back and get a message "the number or code you are dialing is incorrect...."

Number shows up from McKinney, Texas.  Robocall says "Card Services, Inc, we can help you with your credit card debt, urgent information".  I do not have any credit cards and haven no debt.  Twice I have pushed '2' to be removed, and every Monday they keep calling.  Today I stayed on the line until a real person answered. I very nicely asked to be removed from their calling list, and she hung up on me.  Filed my third complaint today with FTC regarding this number.

I keep getting calls from this number that says it's regarding my credit card, but they don't say who they are. I think it's a scam, so I just hang up, but I'm on the "Do Not Call List", and I don't want their calls.

Just received a call from "Card Services" was told to press 1.  A girl asked if I would like to reduce my credit rate to 6 1/2%.  I asked her where she was calling from and she hung up on me.  I tried to call back to give her a piece of my mind because I knew what she was up to and a message said the number was disconnected.  Someone needs to get to the bottom of this.  Imagine someone naively going along with this and gives out their personal info and loses their indentity.  We shouldn't have to just sit back and take this!

This is a scam. They are trying to get you to give them your personal and/or credit card information.  They called me offering to "reduce my credit card rates"...however, when I was connected to an actual person and asked what card to which they were referring, her first question was WHETHER I have credit card debt. When I informed her that I do not, she hung up on me.  Do not give these people your information - they are not a legitimate business.

Got a call from them saying something about my current credit card account... I don't have a credit card

DNC is a joke.  They do niothing with the complaints except put then into a database.  A state attorney general has access to this database if they want to do anything.  This means you have to complain through your state also.  My guess is that very few people do this.

Secondly, these people get a database of numbers.  They are required by law to remove your number from thier database if you request it. After a while they call on a different project or telephone number using the orginal database with your number in it since it was confirmed as a valid number when you told them to take you off thier list.

I got calls from one number that did not resopond for ~2 minutes, said "good bye," and hung up.  When I called it back, a "gentleman" recording said agents are busy and to leave a message.  After several minutes, it hung up.  I repeated this numerous times to fill his answering machine.  After a few sessions, I did not receive any other calls from that number.  Another thing would be to program a fax machine or modem to call the number every 5 minutes. Look at it as the enterainment.

The calls that hang up are probably robot callers that are collecting valid phone numbers for a database to sell to callers.

For those calls that have a 1 for a live person, press it and talk to them while you read a paper.  This wastes thier time. Give them fake names, addresses, phone numbers, and/or credit cards.  Be talkative and tell them about Aunt Mary's operation.  Look at it as an enterainment opportunity or as practice in public speaking.  Be sure to speak very slowly.

Recd a call from this number a little ago.  It was card services about lowering the interest on my credit card.  I hung up.  I only answered the phone because I have relatives in TX.  Next time I'll let the phone ring and check for a voicemail message.

Not true.  I've filed several times against this number and still receive calls.

Said they were from credit card services and could lower my interest rate. Hung up at that point. Sorry a holes!!

Most likely a number having to do with a Belize registered company (or affiliate) that actually is located in Oregon...please see http://telemarketerspam.wordpress.com/ link and read the material for insight into this scam operation, which is skirting the FTC laws...will someone else please call the FBI, FTC, Do-Not-Call folks and BBB for complaints and get these people (and all their subsidiaries, spin-offs, etc.) shut down, heavily fined and jailed with long sentences to deter this type of intrusion into people's private lives...if you have caller ID, do not answer any area codes you are not familiar with, and if the call goes to voice mail, dismiss it without returning the call...otherwise you may be giving them tacit permission to continue to call, thus sidestepping the do-not-call laws...
