I also received a text from this Michelle! She was willing to make a payment for an item I had for sale. She didn't see the item and was willing to pay for it through paypal. TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. I asked her to call me and she said some BS about being hearing impaired and her translator isn't around. Simply, told her that I will not make a deal without her calling me. Never heard from her again! Advice...no live person...no deal!!!

Wow - I had entered phone number using text, so obviously failed to fool them. Perhaps next time I will put a number then say replace third digit with 2 or something like that. What a shame we have to gjump through hoops to keep the jerks off our lines...

Same here , just today "Michelle" texted me regarding a truck I put up for sale on craiglist houston , she asked me if I had a paypal accnt and when I told her that I dont have one , she asked me to "please and kindly" to open a paypal accnt ( even text me a link to the sign up page ) , please be aware !!!

same deal.  Contacted me about a boat on craigslist.

I replied with "if you think I'm going to pay you, you're full if s***"

This person tried to scam my Dad by saying they are going to put 600 into my paypal account. Asked for my info. Themoney never came so I called 3 times, no answer. So i googled this number and saw this website. Changed all my account info! How annoying! Can't trust anyone! If anyone wants to do anything over paypal from CL it is a scam! If they are on Cl that means they are local and they can pay you when they come pick up the item you are selling! Don't ever give any info over the phone to anyone from CL!

Got a text from this number wish I would of looked it up first, it was for something I am selling on Craigslist and the text was weird to me, they pay on paypal for the amount I was asking for and the money for movers fee. I ask why are you giving me money for the movers fee, they text back saying moving  company which wasattach to my paypal accout, so they will charge me $450. I sent the text to my mom and she said it looks like a scam.

I also got contacted by this number ..trying to buy bedroom furniture from me. Glad I saw this website

Yea this is a total scam she contacted me today about an add on craigslist in DFW and wanted me to do the money gram of $450. I called paypal and they said it was a scam and also "Michelle" had "paypal" send me emails that had misspelled words and incomplete sentences what a joke!

Got a text from this number in response to craigslist ad. Said she (Michelle Scott) would put the money in my paypal acct along with the shipping fee and all I had to do was send a money order for $402 to shipper and the money would be released to my acct.  Of course, there was no activity in my paypal acct. PLEASE, how dumb do you have to be?

Received texts from this number from a Craigslist ad. Person used the name Michelle. I looked up the phone number and saw the two entries listed so far about the scam. Upon reading the entries on this page so far, I started getting random weird messages from the person. I believe it is a scam as well.

He also tried to scam me on Craigslist. Found out I am an officer and never heard from him again.
