I also received a text on my cell phone from 1stdebtstop.com and I am also not very happy. There is a phone number that it was sent from, 214-608-3365 ,  so I placed a complaing with the government website, DONOTCALL.GOV ......   I have been registered there for years, so sales callers cannot call me (I think it actually works). So i took this text and treated it as a call and reported them on the site. reporting callers, if you are on the do not call list, does work. If they receive a large amout of complaints concerning a certain number, company or institution, the government goes after them. I personally know of a company that was bankrupted, in New Jersey, a few years back because they made millions of calls to people on the do not call list. The government fined them for each and every call made. Maybe this will work in this instance. If we all report them, over time they will get the hammer on them. Just my .02, but something must be done.

I've gotten a cigarette ad (ecig2010.com) from this number and a debt ad (1stdebtstop.com) from 404-693-2475.  I'm not on facebook, so they're not the culprit.

Just spoke with T-Mobile and luckily I have unlimited everything and there are no "premium" rates for me unless they are coming from outside the country. Since this number is in the USA, it is standard txt message charges for those who have to pay. They said reply with "stop, opt out" and it should be fine also that becuase I have let them know and re-registered on the do not call list with the governemnt, that i should be fine and any and all charges that i might get from this number or any others, will be reversed for me.

Hope this helped some of you. I know that i signed up for a notification via facebook for messages and this started happening so, facebook is to blame here. Attorny General of Oregon will be notified.

I just found out something useful. If you have verizonwirless, you can go on a website and block premium messages yourself. Log on to your account -> Click safeguard -> Click call&message blocking -> Click blocked numbers -> Click service blocks. One of the options they have is Block Premium Messages, so I checked it for all the lines on my account. I believe this feature stop/block services you have, not blocking number itself. However, I could block calls and messages from 5 numbers on the verizonwireless website, but since the numbers are always a little different, I am going to save this for other time. Please let me know if you have a better solution.

I just talked to my cell phone company, verizonwireless, to block texts from this number ( I had one mssg about cig on may 30th and got one about debt free stuff today). They also told me to text back "cancel" and that should stop the text message from the number. One thing bothered me is that the customer rep told me these mssgs could be premium mssgs, which will charge me $9.99 per month on my verizon account. I told them I ve never applied any premium mssgs like these, and if verzionwireless could just block and cancel it. Then the customer rep told me that they don't see the charge yet so they can't do anything about it yet except blocking it. I don't know what is going on. I just hope for the best that I will never receive anything like this anymore.

Does anyone know if following the optout instructions in these text message helps any?  I'm afraid to ("reply with stop to optout") fearing I'll get some horrendous charge on my phone bill because I sent a text to India or something stupid like that.

There should also be a "Do Not Text" list that people could place themselves on as well.  Especially when it costs us money to receive them and when these blasted things are going to our children's phones.

If anyone does the legwork (or pays an investigator) to figure out who this is, please contact me.

This company has cost me thanks to travelling abroad and I intend to eventually take them to court.  If someone else tracks this b*****d down and I can manage to get them served then I'll happily share costs.

I can be reached via:   http://Contact.GetDave.com/

I've gotten two texts from this number, a cigarette selling one, and a get out of debt one.  I want to know how these people find us.  I'm tired of getting these.  I don't have to pay for texts, but even still this is annoying.

And its not just one company, F. Gomez.  It seems that not only is it advertising debt relief, which it seems is the message you got, it also advertises cigarette products.  And who knows what the number will send next.  On a reverse search I did, it seems that the number is coming from a cell phone as opposed to a company phone.  This is an individual sending out spam, for their own gain.  That's my opinion at any rate.  I'm not saying that something shouldn't be done.  But I see a bunch more money going down the drain in a lawsuit, especially if you are suing the wrong person/company.
