Well I don't owe on my car I have owned it since 08, and I got a call from these people.  I hope they don't call again or choose to harass me....

I don't care what you try to hide behind saying you're not a collection agency but in essence you are trying to collect property which has a cash value and therefore does fall under the laws in accordance with the fair debt collection act.  You have no legal right to call my neighbors looking for me or harrassing them trying to get personal information about me or who lives with me.  You are in violation of state and federal law and must cease and desist immediately

This person calls me all day long every day please stop it

This person calls me 7 days a week when I am not home to receive the calls and when I get home to reterive the messagse they are saying we are trying to reach a induvidual and they don't leave any messages

They called me all day Saturday these son of b...... a** pest and .some bi... a.. fools that can go scratch . What  they are doing is illegal and im going to report them to the law.   214-647-3580

I received a call from this phone number while I was at work. My caller ID showed: Winsor Equity Group.,214-647-3580. A man left a message on my answerer. He said his name was Scott and he was calling for ......, someone who does not live at my house. He also said that I was given as a reference and it was very important for me to call him back @ 866-752-8897 ext.8005.because he has very important information for the person he was calling for. The person he was calling for DID NOT give me as a reference to anyone at anytime!!! I do not know what kind of hoax this is...it is just that!!!!

 Just heard my relative in another state has received some phone calls from Windsor Group and her husband is upset about it. Glad I saw this site and heard they go after written off debt. With the economy doing so bad they make a cash cow out of the situation. A friend has bees so harassed with repeated calls no matter how hard she explains her situation economically to them.
 Some time ago I was even offered employment at a collection agency but turned it down. Not only py for the reason these callers are paid poorly needing to get an agreement to pay so they can make a commission, but no way could I call to harass people like that. Obviously, the Windsor group does not feel the same.

Needless to say I see no reason to call them being in my late sixties and on limited income while still paying off every month on a bill which to them you should give every penny and live in a tent just so they can get a commission.

Left a message that they were trying to get in touch with someone i have never heard of. Another number to be blocked.

Well I have gotten 2 calls recently from this number and have researched other numbers that I get random phone numbers from and they all seem to come back to the Windsor group. Although this number is the only one I get voicemails from. The first one was a woman saying she had urgent information for me and I needed to contact her immediately. The second most recent one as a man calling himself Roosevelt Hunter. He told me there was information I needed to sign off on and that it is "most beneficial" to me. I do have debt collectors calling me sometimes. But I don't owe anything extravagant and I have paid off my car loan so I'm not really sure what the hell they want. I called the number back they left but all I got was a busy signal. I'm going to call tomorrow just so I can give them a piece of my mind and tell them to stop calling.

A man keeps calling my mother telling her he has a warrant for my arrest for me to contact them. I am a law abiding citizen whp pays my bills so I looked them up to see they are debt collectors. I called them back and found out they had my mom's number because I put her as a emergency contact at a job I had 5 years ago. They wanted me for a case where somebody is sueing the company I worked for for dates I wasn't even there. So basically scared my mom to death for no reason. Shame on a**les like this!

These people are not professional on what they are doing. Asked if a knew a person by the name of tammy roberts? I said no. They said goodbye. Not sure who they are but would not identify themselves.

Curious...how is a person a thief exactly when they didn't take out the loan, they are not a co-signer on the loan, their name is not on the vehicle in question and they know nothing about the person you're calling about? Oh, I must be a thief because I didn't go out and hunt down this random person FOR you and force them to hand over the "stolen" property to you...because I'm somehow obligated to do so WHY? Just so some do***ebag who prowls around online message boards likes to call me a thief? I pay all my bills, actually. I've never had a bad debt in my life. I've never stolen a thing from anyone. Yet I'm a "thief" in your eyes because I didn't go do your job for you even though it has absolutely nothing to do with me. Perhaps I should just pay off someone else's loan, who I don't even know, just so you don't think I'm a thief.

By golly, I'm not going to sleep for weeks knowing now what a horrible person I am.

I have been contacting them to find out additional fees to pay off receive my car noone has answered or returned my calls yet its been 2 days.  Its unprofessional.

What you dont know is that my former husband who was a Marine and did 2 tours in Iraq and was hit with an IED and left with physical and mental injuries that most people could never endure , he  committed suicide last year after losing his battle with all the physicsl and mental problems . We have children adn I hve medical issues myself .. I havent been able to work and really couldnt even tell you what has happened in my life thr last year because of being and shock and grieving . Our vehicle is really not even worth whats owed , which is only 3,500.. I havent been able to send anything the last 3 months but will be able to pay it off in Jan. To add to this , the vehicle has been in the shop for body work after a hailstorm , 5500 worth of damage . I owe 1,000 just to get it back out of the body shop for my deductible and the tags are expired . The body shop has agreed to keep it there till I can pay the deductible and not even charging me storage fees!! As of today Im tired , I cant fight you people anymore . I already told chase bank and the repo company what Im capable of doing , which is having this paid off by end of January .. Now some "investigator " calls my 67 yr old father harrassing him and getting him all stressed out because she told him the car is beyond repossession and now is a "serious" legal matter . My father has a heart conditoin and one doesnt need your harrassment and 2 its illegal to say anything about why your calling .. Ive contacted my lawyer and will file for any violations of FCRA..
My point in sharing this is that you need to stpo stero typing people . Some of us have real problems , we may be slow payers but like me , Im in NO way trying to skip out on my obligations and take offense to your comments . I guess all of you who work for Equity Windsor have never felll on hard times . Its sad that my husband  fought for people like you ..

Really? I live in Texas. Not only did my attorney get a settlement from Windsor, because windsor's behavior was so egregious, the bank erased the rest of my loan in exchange for dropping them from the suit. I got a vacation and a car because Windsor was so out of line.

I wish that I could say that in Texas, they won't file criminal charges against you for hiding a vehicle that is up for repossession. I can tell you from first hand experience that they will file "hindering a secured creditor" charge against you. I not only lost the car (the repo man found out where I lived after I was arrested), but had to pay a substantial fee to get the DA to drop the charges, plus my lawyers fee. It's not worth it. Just give the car back and start over with one of the "we tote the note" lots...

I don't understand why you feel the need to defend the company you work for so badly. I have been getting harrassed everyday for the past two months. Different people call me every time with a nasty condescending tone and ask for someone I have no idea who the hell they are. I asked them for their license number (which they refused to give) and to please stop calling me. They are not even calling for me! I pay my bills thank you very much so to just insinuate that the only people this company is harrassing are those who want a "free ride" is bogus. I have 3 cars all paid off and a home PAID off, I have no reason for any debt collector to be calling me. They DO NOT have the right to harrass me if I am not even the person they are looking for. Calm down, get yourself back in your box, and try providing useful information. Anyone else who has something valid to say please let me know how I can get them to stop calling and filling up my voicemail box...threatening to send someone to my house..etc...BTW they never say anything about coming to get a car they say they will serve "whoever the person they are looking for" a subpeona. You are nonsense! UGH!

Got a call from these guys.  They were looking for my sons car who is homeless and hooked on meth.  I have told my son for months to turn it in to the bank.  He paid a year and a half on it and he owes $30,000 still on it.

Most repo companies are just doing their job.  You would not see them if you just dealt with your bank.  Just my opinion.  I'm just a crazy old man..

Do yourself a favor and get a consumer rights attorney. Most of them work on a contingency basis so you owe them nothing upfront. Tell him/her these people are coming every night for someone whom does not live there. You lawyer can immediately draft papers with a cease and desist demand. That will generally stop them from coming by. By all means you should make them pay for their behavior. They were calling me and claiming to be an inspector or investigator. They even claimed they were going to go to the DA to file charges against me, (I live in a huge county in Texas....the DA has no time for these clowns). We'll see where it goes.

This company has been dogging me for weeks.  My son is behind on his car payments and he used to live with me.  When they call, they do not even ask for me by name which is the first clue that they are fishing.  A legit company will call and state their business.  This company lies when they leave you a message and say they are not a bill collector or salesperson.  They might not be a "bill collector" but they are trying to collect.  I spoke to one of the people there and they say they are not trying to get the car...they just want to serve papers.  Another lie.  They come by my house every night and since my son doesnt live there they will not find it at my house.  I had 2 men come to my door in the middle of the night also.  That happened twice.

YES. My neighbors, my family, friends, my 80 year old landlady all get calls about me. My case was finished in court six months ago. Companies who buy third and fourth party debts knowing they are noncollectable, cannot use any legal system to come after you. They work on straight commission so they bug you night and day just to get you to pay them something to stop the harassment.

Dude, there are court filings all over where Windsor has lost. You do in fact have to follow FDCPA laws....you in fact cannot call third parties about the vehicle....you cannot call people and tell lies about the file.....I have read pages of the crud you espouse on here....all you are is a bunch of predators...you can't get real jobs so you take advantage if people's weaknesses.

Yeah. I'm guilty of being late on payments, defaulting on loans (I had 3 cars repo'ed), but I don't do these things intentionally. When I have had problems I tried to work them out and in some cases I was able to and in others I wasn't. I'm not spotless, by any means, but I DO NOT CONCIOUSLY STEAL SOMEONE ELSES PROPERTY.
