Received a call from John Michaels that says that ignoring the call will only make matters worse and that I needed to respond to the claim of fraudulent activity or a summons would be issued. they even have my boyfriends cell number and harass me through it. I talk to john Michaels and informed him he was on a recorded line and he started spouting off Federal terms that he thought would intimidate me- I ask him to put the allegations in writing and I would be happy to address them and that I was reporting the call the local police and he started laughing and I hung up. This is the second call I have received from this type of scam this week.  

They called my mom today and told her that she ordered an item illegally and she needed to pay immediately or else they phoned not only her but my aunt who lives next door and gave out personal information i called the number back and left them a message letting them know that this is against federal laws and all their information has been turned over to the FBI and they are not to call my mother or any other family members ever again i also filed a complaint with the BBB as this is a scam when i checked the number it comes back to a computer generated number and a cell phone prepaid called get a phone. They have told others various stories and this female gives 2 first names but the same last name each time she has phones

they called me today talking about there building a civil suit against me because ive gotton numerous loans from pay day and loans, I told to them to do  what they got to do. I hate that they called my job with this bull.

I received a call and caller gave her name as Katrine  Porter and stated there was investigation against my name,ssn# and personal bank information either myself or my attorney would need to call back  in a timelly manner or It would prohibit  any rights  I have during the investigation when calling refer to file#GAVE A NUMBER, and phone to call 866-402-4043 but they called from a (214) area code which any one of the many area code for the area I live in.

I was called today and I picked it up... They said they have left tons of messages that went unanswered. No they havent. But I will have my atty call them and tell them to stop.

Send them a cease and desist via FAX (be sure to include CMG Recovery and Past, Current, and Future Business Names by which you shall be known) then send the same letter to them along with the fax confirmation print out and copy the attorney general and BBB on all documents.  This aids in providing supporting documentation that the debt collector has been duly notified to cease and desist.

This is one of those hardcore collection copanies - so anything goes. The best thing to do is save voicemail messages - file complaints with BBB and the Attorney General in the State which you reside.  Immediately send to them a cease and desist letter and if they are calling your employer have your human resources department also send a cease and desist collection efforts at the workplace.

Sending in copies of the voicemail messages they leave is a huge step in shutting down the abusive debt collector.  There may be a hundred reasons or no reason for finding yourself in debt, there is never a good reason for a debt collector to abuse and harrass debtors.

They called my home phone and cell phone looking for a friend.  I told them out right to never call me again and leave the rude threathening mesages they had left or the next visit would be face to face.  They did not like being talked to the way they talk to the people answering the phone. Dont think they will call again

C. Steven  called me today. He make threats.

I got a threatening call with vague information about my ss# being associated with fraudulent banking activity and that my rights would be refused.  Rights can't be refused.  That is not even proper English.  Every time I try to return the call I am told that Katherine Porter is in meetings with the attorneys. I ask what type of business they are and they stammer while trying to think of something clever to say.  Sometimes they are court servers, sometimes they are attorneys, sometimes they wont say anything.  When I question further they just hang up.

I recieved a call from this company, said it was Catherine Porter said they were conducting an investigation involving my name, my SS# and my bank account regarding fraudulent activity.  That if I didnt call back or if my attorney didnt I would be forfeiting my rights in the investigation, provided a 866 number and a referance number.  Half of the call sounded automated half sounded like a real recorded voice.  I dont know.  I do not right checks I have not in about 10 years.  I do not like calling and giving my info out especially when I do not know what it is involving.  Is this real?

M Callahan and Assicates...Scammer's do not pay these people a dime. they are trying to collect on a debt you don't owe. They make threats and harrass people. They are violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If they can provide you proof of they debt in writing do not pay them a dime know your rights under the ACT.

They called my mother and my husband saying two different things.  Told me a third thing.  Trying to get information out of us.  Asking my mother for her SS#.  Told my husband that he is going to be taken to court.  Told me I owe money.

They are fake. They call my husband over my sisters house. My husband call back but he had to wait for someone to answer. Then the man said he was Mr. Callahan. Hed told he husband he owe a balance with someone and they wanted  him to pay 149.00 every month and wanted my husband to pay by debit card. he didn't leave a address and wouldn't give one. He told my husband to call after my husband buy the card. He said he was a lawyer but told my sister it was Global Connect. These people are scamming people for money.

I also been getting this calls too, go to  BBB BUSINESS REVIEW there is alot of complaint of this peoples.This peoples  gave me this #877-252-0532 and they called me from this # area code (214).

I have received these calls as well, but they are sent to my mothers house phone. I called the 214 number and of course the "auto attendent" came on with some blank information stating just " if i know the person extension enter it in" that means it is going to someones house (work from home).
Again, today i received another call (mothers again) from 877-447-2540 Check and Reporting Incorp. and i have been placed on hold. I have not wrote a check since 2006 and now i am receiving these threating calls saying that " i will get a summons".

First called me 2 weeks ago & left rude msg saying a civil suit is pending against my driver license & SS # & to call back within 24 hours. Tried to call back & was put on hold 15mins.They called again today, left another rude msg about 2 invalid checks. Said I had to respond within 24 hours or the DA would be contacted. All my checks are accounted for & no vendor I've written to has contacted me nor has my bank!
I also located info on them for 888 #'s & they are scammers saying they represent payday loan co's such as CashNet. They demand payment, don't provide paperwork & make illegsl threats. Look it up on here! Some very helpful info.
