I also get this caller as a "Dallas Texas" number. They call at least several times a week, never leave message and I also lost my Mom last year with heart related  issues. That's definitely a disturbing co-incidence. I think  unethical tele-marketing or downright preying on our grief,  which is awfil. I for one will be trying to escalate this and fortunately can block the number on iPhone ios7.

Scam and spammers-this is supposed to be american heart association-do not answer-do not press any numbers-it is a scam-i dont answer anything from texas-they have at least 10 different numbers and names such as AHA, neighbor, anonymous, etc

So annoying.  I've received numerous calls; caller id shows this number under "Anonymous", "AHA Neighbor" or "Dallas, TX".  I answered maybe twice and no one seemed to be on the line. They have called early in the morning, 8:20 am?They need to just STOP!

Why do they keep calling? How can I block?

Annoying. Calls almost every day for several weeks.  Answered 2nd or 3rd ring. No one there, followed by a dial tone. Shows as AHA Neighbor. No answer/connection  when I call back.

This number keeps calling my elderly mother way to early and too late causing her health problems such as stress and anxiety to escalate. I found it belongs to the American heart association and I used to donate to this charity, because of this I will discontinue any and all support

BTW - what is the point of a do not call list that applies to out-of-state companies (note:Texas) if they do not abide by the law?  FCC ..where are you??

They called this morning at 8:23; caller ID said Dallas, TX. I have a letter from Attorney General's Office in California in response to a separate annoying call but in that letter, they state that agencies that can call are not supposed to/allowed to call before 9 AM. Humph. No rules seem to apply to any of these groups, whether they're truly part of the exception for the Do Not all Registry or not. Most annoying. I do not answer any of them but am tired of daily deleting of IDs.

I still think this is a scam.  They "thanked" me for previous donations at the beginning of their pitch.  I haven't donated to them for at least 15 years, if ever.  They are preying on folks with memory issues, obviously.  I think they intended the call to reach my mother-in-law with cognitive loss who is now in a nursing home, because she lived here for a while.  Don't think she was a donor for at least the last 8 years either. The number of scummy calls and letters from sociopaths has exponentially increased  following her brief residence with us.    If this is actually a call from the American heart Association, their fund-raising ethics should be called into question.

If you can block by Caller ID name, rather than number, using  "AHA Neighbor" seems to do trick. For now. (Until they catch on.)

I called the number back and it is for the Heart Association and their Dear Neighbor campaign.  FYI.

Calls daily and never leaves a message.  The caller ID says "Dear Neighbor."  Because they called in the period running up to the recent election, I thought that it might be a political group.  Now I think that it just might be a solicitation for money.  Regardless, it is unwanted.
