Got a call fom this number.  The caller said a lawsuit had been filed against me.  When I started to question him, he said he had to transfer me to the "senior attorney".  I got cut  off, the same guy called right back and accused me of hanging up on him.  Then he did transfer me to someonne else who cussed at me, said "you Americans don't know how to talk to people", said fu** you, and hung up on me.  Both guys definitely did not speak English as their primary language (Indian maybe?).

I also got several calls from that number and the guys name, he says, is Alex White and he sounded like he was from India.  They too called my job and my cell numerous times threatening me saying I was being sued and needed my attorney to call and when I asked whats it about, they said they could only tell my lawyer and I told him if Im the one being sued then I had the right to know and he said he was going to connect me with someone and that was that.  Any ideas on how to handle this?  I thought about calling the IC3, its for internet crimes thought but idk whatelse to do.

I have received several calls on my cell phone and also at my work place. They also threatened me and told me to contact my own attorney. This is a complete scam he is reading from a script because every time "John Jones" leaves a voice mail its the same exact message as before. I just want everybody to know that you have the right to challenge these people and to stand up for yourself. These people will get a cruise missile in the a** soon enough. U.S.A! U.S.A!

Eric Matthews contacted me today from what he claimed to be Richardson Law Firm. He stated that I borrowed money and refused to pay back to USA Cash. He stated that I was being charged with several crimes, that I was being arrested, that my state attorney was already contacted, to get my bale money ready. He said that he would make sure I lose my Job and go to Jail with my family. I hope someone can look into this and put a stop to it.

They called and said the same thing everyone else on this post is claiming. When I told them that I spoke to someone last week that could not prove that they ever sent me any money, they hung up on me.  I called back and the "Atty Jones" answered the phone and when I asked if he just hung up on me, he said- you need to have your atty call me CLICK.  I am so over this whole thing.  I never borrowed any money from them and if I did, wouldn't they have withdrawn it from my acct.  So frustrating.

Not sure how I am going to stop him but I will find a way. I can give it right back to him and I will but I want to stop him from harrassing other individuals who may not handle it as well as I do

As soon as you hear them begin the spiel at home, blow a whistle in their ear.  Repeat as necessary; do not speak to them.  Should only take once.

i did fill out an online application recently and have been getting a ridiculous amount of calls from people who have accents.  No disrespect.  But it pretty obvious.  I traced the call to Grapevine TX.  its a landline, and they told me they were attorney from the US government and I said I dont owe the government any money and he got mad and said that he will call my job and named my employer and said they will have the police come and arrest me.  and at first I was nervous thinking that some police were going to show up at my job.  but then I called back and I guy name Mike answered and he wouldnt tell what it was in regard to only that I was being sued and I need a lawyer.  when I wouldnt give my SS# he started screaming at the top of his lungs calling me names saying Im getting arrested and I need to shut up and stop rambling on....that's when i knew it was a schame and I told him it was...he screamed somemore and hung up.  No professional would ever speak to a person like that, no US governement would have the # trace back to a landline.  And I'm sorry no one working for the US goverment collection bla bla bla is going to bearly speak a lick of English nice try...almost had me cuz I was getting so pissed and yelling at this  guy at work...People beware, i just think these people should be arrested for what they are doing!

Called and actually had my SSN...that scared me,must have filled out an online application sometime or another. Anyhow, the whole thing was laughable and the Idian accented guy on the phone kept asking in a "stern voice"; why are you laughing...do you think something is funny? Which I replied I find this all very very funny except you knowing my SSN !
He finally got tired of telling me I was going to jail and be prepared with an attorny and also bail money cause I would be placed in jail...etc.etc.

I found "this" site just by typing in the 10 digits on my caller i.d. seems like several people on here have had the exact same calls and threats,oh well...come arrest me is what I say. Funny, but serious scam going on.

To judge from your reports, this likely is yet another of the fake payday loan collectors calling from overseas. This scam has gone on for years and has grown in popularity with Indian and Pakistani criminal boiler rooms. Just as in American debt collection agencies, reps are trained to regard everyone they call as a liar and deserving punishment. Their often absurd threats are empty and their rude tactics are illegal under federal law, the FDCPA. Do not believe their lies, do not argue with them, do not comply with their extortionist demands. Show them you know you have rights they are trampling.

Debt is a civil and not a criminal matter. No matter what you are told, no one is coming to arrest you, and you will not be jailed. There is no valid debt claim and no court order to seize your assets. You need not pay a red cent in ''settlement'' to make their inflicted pain go away. (Really, if they were that sure of your liability, wouldn't they simply hire a lawyer near you to sue for the full amount plus interest?) You will note these often barely intelligible bullies have a laughably poor understanding of American legal procedure. Their hope is that you are just as ignorant.

Try demanding a mailing address and a full business name. If the caller fudges his answer and you cannot verify it, it's likely a PDL sham. Challenge their horse puckey threats; they often make rude remarks and hang up. As the bullies like to hassle people at workplaces, advise your employers and coworkers these calls are garbage and not within your personal control.

The usual response to such a runaway debt collector stateside is to send a cease-comm letter and file suit. If you find a valid US address, please do so. Fierce consumer lawyers will leap at the chance to run such a case on contingency. However, being mostly outside U.S. borders and having no discernable addresses, these particular criminals rarely make it possible for individuals to punish them.

They left so many messages but when we called them it took 3 times before we got him to anwser then he hung up. He said his name was Brian McKAy. But the next day he called back from another number and said that he was steve Harris. Well good thing we saved the messages cause it was the same sand n****r as before. Prank Call
This company is so fake. I made the fake attorney John Jones upset and he hung up the phone in my face. I called back and a guy named Mike answered and when I asked for John he said to hold on and when he came back he asked for the last name and I said John Jones, then he replied that he didnt know who that was and hung up the phone. My mother-in-law cursed him out so good it was funny. I am going to call law offices that have the same name and advised that I am receiving a call from their office and provide the number so that a real lawyer can get in they stuff.

Received a call from what is supposed to be a law office by the name of Richardson and Associates.  The called and gave the incorrect last four numbers to my SS#.  Then hung up when I said that was not my number. So I called back and gave my phone number, and the person told me to contact a lawyer because they "were going to put me behind the bars tomorrow".

This has to be a scam, because they could give me no information.  I also have been receiving calls from another number in California with the same plot, and same shoddy information.

I was called by this number and was told a lawsuit was being processed against my name and that I should say good bye to my family as I would be arrested and go to jail.
They sounded like they were not of this country (USA), They should be caught and sent to prison for theating calls of this nature.  I welcom them to come to my door and tell me this to my face, I will have big surprise for them.
It is time we as U.S. citizens to take a stand against people like this, I for one will not put up with this of course they will not show up at anyone door. This is just another scam from idots from another country trying to get money by not working, maybe they should go back to their country and try finding an honest job.
