Legit - A person from Southwest Airlines about fraud on my credit card

I got the call too when our plane was delayed.  SW is great!

I got this call due to my flight being delayed but there was no message, only silence. It happened 5 times.

Ignore Michael. Southwest Airlines notification service regarding a gate change on a flight I had today. Thanks SWA.

Southwest Airlines -- calling with flight information for someone that is not me. Judging by the other entries on this site for this number SWA needs to get their junk together and enter phone numbers correctly. Haven't flown for 3 years and have no flights booked for the near future, myself.

I got this call myself last night on my cellphone. It was computer-generated from Southwest Airlines informing me that a connecting flight I was scheduled to board in Denver had been delayed due to weather.
Legit call to update you on Southwest flights you have reservations on. Not a problem at all.

5 calls in a row from (214) 792-3199. No identification, and do not recognize the number. Ignore it. Need to find out HOW to block this number!

I received a call from 214-792-3199.  The automated computer gave me flight status update for  Edward E. Medina.  You are scheduled to fly with us from Spokane to Ontario on June 9.  We would like to let you know that the portion of your trip flight 2513 from Spokane to Oakland has been updated and your new departure time is 9:15 p.m. Please remember that flight times are scheduled to change so be sure to double check the flight status monitors at the airport for up to date information.  Thank you from Southwest Airlines.   You have been selected to participate in a chance to win free travel to the White House in Washington, DC.  You and your companion Craig J. Spence will be flown from Oakland to Baltimore Washington Airport and you will be transported to the White House.  

Problem is I am not Edward E. Medina and I had no reservation with Southwest Airlines.  I have never flown on Southwest Airlines.     This call makes no sense at all.  I called the number back and they had no record of the call.  Apparently this was someone playing some kind of game.

RECEIVED CALL FROM 214-792-3199.  RECORDED MESSAGE FROM SOUTHWEST AIRLINES ABOUT A DELAY ON MY FLIGHT. ODD THEY DON'T HAVE CALLER ID WORKING

Southwest automatic call letting me know that my gate had changed. Received the call during check-in and while printing my boarding pass. Forgot about it until I Googled the number just now. Everything here checks out! Thanks 800-notes!

I had a 7:35 PM SWA flight scheduled on 14 August from Long Island MacArthur (ISP) to Baltimore- Washington (BWI) whichic was  delayed (WX) more than two hours. (The situation was listed online earlier that afternoonoon.)   After an additional delay on the ramp, I arrived at home shortly after midnight.  The SWA auto-phoned their delay announcement to me just as I was climbing into bed.  Their call was well-intentioned....  but useless.

Same as last post.. 30 days ago. Good thing is we can get online to check this out :)
And I have to agree. Great service! They just need to work out that bug :)

RECEIVED CALL FROM 214-792-3199 RECORDED MESSAGE FROM SOUTHWEST AIRLINES ABOUT A CANCELLED FLIGHT FROM RALEIGH DURHAM.  WE HAD NO FLIGHT RESERVATIONS. CALL WAS FOR A CHRISTOPHER.  NO ONE HERE BY THAT NAME.

Southwest airlines, calling to report a cancelled flight.  However, I didn't have a flight with Southwest, and my name isn't Donald.  Hope he gets wherever he was supposed to go...

It was Southwest Airlines reporting a cancelled flight. I suspect the above poster simply faced an mis-entered phone number for a reservation.

I've gotten a couple of dozen calls lately from this number. I'll usually get two in a row asking for the same person, then it switches to a different person. I'm wondering if it's a computer error or some kind of phishing scheme.

I got several calls from this number while at the airport. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. I got another call a few minutes later from a local number, so I answered and it was Southwest notifying me my flight was delayed take-off. I assume this 214 area code number is Sothwest's computer--their HQ is in Dallas.

Legit call from Southwest Airlines updating me on flight status.
Since I didn't recognize the number, I didn't answer and they left a recording on my voicemail with the updated fligth info.

8 am on a sunday morning - two calls from this number ..no message left ..did not recognize number

Got a call from SW Air regarding a delay on a Flight that I took exactly 30 days ago.
Their Automated Attendant system works OK most of the time.
Perhaps they have a Y2K (year 2000) programming error.

Also waiting for a flight with gate change.

i got this call at 7:30 am, saying my flight had been changed, but my name isnt Donald and I dont have a flight. (I read on another site that this has happened to them as well)

I received this call from SouthWest to let me know my flight had been delayed. They called and I accidentally hung up but they called back 5 minutes later, it was an automated message. I'm very impressed with their customer service for letting me know.
