Just got a text message saying Primary Solutions needed me to confirm my address so they could serve me papers otherwise they would show up at my work to serve me. Go right ahead, never heard of a valid company texting people a heads up on being served.

I had a call today from Primary Solutions.  The lady was totally obnoxious and unprofessional.  Said she was an investigator for something, but did not catch that part.  She then said she was investigating a loan I got in 2006 from a cash advance place.  I have NEVER even been inside one of them!  She also kept calling me by a name that is a derivative of mine (not giving my real one here, but an example, the difference between Lucille/Lucy).  One is my given/legal name that I go by, the other is not.  She said I was lying, as one was short for the other.  She then said she knew I was lying because I would have had to show proof of name when I got the loan.  I said I NEVER got a loan, and that WAS NOT my name.  She again said I was lying because she reached me at the phone number I used when I got the loan.  She then read a social to me, and it was not mine and I said so.  She said I sure acted like I was lying and that she would determine if I was and have papers filed.  What the heck?!?!?   So, I hit redial (after she HUNG UP ON ME) and she answered and asked me not to waste her time!!!  I told her I was concerned about this call and requested a supervisor and she hung up again.  I then went to the BBB site and found they are not members and have an F rating.  They gave a totally different phone number for the company (she had called from what appeared to be a local one), which I assumed was the company main number in GA.  (I am not in that state.)  When I called it to speak to someone about the nature of the call, the same dang woman answered AGAIN!  I don't know what this game is, but I see in a post above to report to the FTC - so I googled that, and they are closed for govt. shutdown.  I hope I do not hear from them again!

Yes my story is similar to those listed above.  I have no outstanding debts and great credit.  I received a couple of voicemails from this number and when I called back (with a blocked number) the woman just answered with, "hello?" Really?  You work for a legitimate company and you answer with just "hello?" They said in the message that they would have to "serve me" if I didn't respond within 24 hours.  This did not happen.
Anyway, about a month later they sent a text.  Real companies do not do business this way.  They also do not request a "meeting" to serve you papers.  How funny!  I advised them to stop harassing me and their response was that they would let me know when the papers were ready.  Umm ok you do that, dill hole.  I advised that their so-called company did not exist, that I have filed a complaint about their "company" and that my lawyer would be in contact with them in regards to this harassment.
DO NOT give these liars any money!!
And so it goes on
And so it goes on

A few weeks ago I got a phone call stating I owed money for a cash loan I did in 2006, which I have never done. I filed a fraud alert on my social and thought I was done. Well I got a text message today from this person saying they are a process server with Primary Solution and they have been appointed to serve me papers. Asked if I wanted them delivered to Apt 208. Then said if I didn't respond they would serve me at work. I responded that it is a scam and I don't live at an apartment nor do I work for the employer they think. They replied saying they would set up a time to meet with me when the paper work is completed. I replied that I would not be meeting up with them for anything because as I had already stated, it is a scam. They said I would be served papers regardless. Bring on the papers because it isn't me and I have never done a payday loan. This is fraud and I won't pay it.

They have been harassing me as well, a " DETECTIVE AGENT WATERS" called and said I needed to give a statement that I would pay on a cash advance from 2006 (which I never did) or not pay. I first asked if she was confused on her title, Detective or Agent (lol) and whom she worked for. She stated she was an investigator for Primary Solutions and needed a statement because her client is ready to sue for the sum of $500.00 When I asked her why I have never received a bill or notification that I took this so called cash advance or why it was never reported on my credit she stated because their client is not required to report me to anyone. I then asked was this call being recorded and she replied "Why does it need to be recorded, you are an adult and can remember what you say" I then knew any "investigator" taking a statement will not only do it in person but at the very least record the call. She did have my social which is alarming so I do intend on reporting them. Today they said via text I would be served unless I payed them $500.00. Don't give them ANY MONEY!

I've been getting the same calls and texts and I am very upset that they have my information. I called the FTC and they told me that it's a scam and that they should be ignored. Thing is its been going on for 2 years now. I even fell for this scam the first time around until I got smart and I had my bank investigate. They are even calling and texting my son's phone when I don't use his number on anything. Did I do the right thing? Is there something more I should do?

You all should file a complaint with the federal trade commission.  Keep their voicemails and text messages like I did and file a detailed complaint.  I called today and it helped.  They will investigate it.  They seemed to suggest that it is a money scam that people use hoping to get money from us.  If it was a real bill, they would send a bill with their name on it.  They said usually from a title loan or cash advance place (that's how they get your number and info).

It could be the companys "case number" such as a reference number BUT this place isn't legit anyways. They may be an actual debt collection agency but I think they contact people with old debts past the statute or ones in an old bankruptcy. I am in the middle of buying a home and know with certainty (since my credit was just ran yesterday) that I have no outstanding debt, nor have I ever had a payday loan in my life (which is what they claim I owe). They aren't legit at all. I asked for a Validation of Debt letter and they hung up on me. They don't like bright people. They want fools.

The text I received stated I had to have a witness when they served me. I texted back and stated "you can serve me now. My lawyer will be present for the witness". I immediately received a reply that stated "I will contact you once the paperwork is finalized". When I responded, "process servers already have the paperwork in hand...." I never got a response. I will be contacting my attorney today. These harrassing calls and texts need to end.

I got the same text message saying they would serve me at work. Good luck getting into my secure parking lot and building, which they would know, if they had my correct place of employment. I had a loan officer run my credit today, low and behold, I have ZERO outstanding debt so this is clearly a scam! I reported the company to the FTC and the AG. What kind of "professionals" text people to serve them??!?!?!?

Yes, these people are very alarming and they even repeated my social to me.  They have my address too.  Do not give them any information.  They have my previous married name with my current address.  Very creepy.

Received a text from this # asking me about where I would like my papers to be served.  They said if I didn't respond to the text they would serve me papers at my place of employment-which I don't have.  I told them to bring it.....No idea who these people are and no idea what the alleged debt is for.

I keep getting messages from this number saying they will serve me papers for a debt I don't owe. The address they are giving as my home address is not mine, not even in the same county. Do not trust this number.

I received some text messages stating that if I wanted their process server to serve papers to my home address or to my place of employment. I wasn't able to locate this company online if it is legitimate or not. I do have some debts but i do not recognize this company and I never got a email  or letter when I asked about my debt to them.

These scamming fools think they're slick.  Do not be frightened or alarmed.  They are just trying to scam money out of you! If you think you owe someone, contact that company directly.  There are ways for scammers to get a hold of these collection agency companies and steal their list of debtors.  Then they try to pretend like they are representing them to get money out of you.  Know your rights by becoming familiar with the Fair Debt Collection Act and specific laws for your state.
