very broken english, very harrassing, calling multiple times - saying I will go to jail, they need attorney information, calling my work also.

They have called my cell and my work saying that i committed 3 counts of legal case. They have heavy accent (sounded indian). I have reported them to ftc and fcc. You guys should do the same so this people should be the one to be put in jail and stop harrassing innocent people like us. They are not the only one there are lots of them and if we dont take any action they wont stop their criminal acts.

i just got the call at 7:25 am, said i was charged with accounts of fraud, and some other stuff. i had looked up the number yesterday when they kept calling me. the guy had kind of an indian/australian accent. he said not to interupt him until he fully explained. once he was done he asked if i had an attorney. told him sarcastically yes. he said ok well then lets get this resolved without involving them. i said "REeeaallly is that what you want.... i know what you creepers do" he then lost his accent and said well them ill see you at court. he then rudely said well then ill let the sheriff arrest you and ruin your life! i laughed and said ill be waiting, he then hung up on me.
i was scammed 2 weeks ago by payday advance loans from seattle WA. with a rep named jennifer and a andrew (both indian) please dont fall like i did. i told them i would go beyond measures to make sure no one else gets scammed and i want to warn all.

This happened to me today and I immediately called the local police. Who came to my house and called the number and the scammer said he will not call me again.

If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

I got a call this morning and the same thing happened they said they were an attorneys office in Texas and I have fraudulently taken money and they were going to freeze my bank account.  Do I need to change my bank account?

I just got 3 calls and a voicemail from this guy. He said his name was James Waston and he also called me a f****ng bi*** and a d****ead. ive called back at least 20 times and this coward wouldn't even pick up the phone. I am currently on the phone about to report him to the FCC and any other government number i can get a hold to make sure he doesnt keep doing this. I did a reverse look up and the number is in Grand Prairie, Texas and it is a mobile number through Usa Moblity, which I am also going to try and get something done. If anyone has any other ideas or helpful ways to stop this b*****d from harassing other people.

same thing here. tried telling me i was wanted for fraud.I just got out of prison two weeks ago how could I have been committing fraud for (a few months) as I was told.When I laughed at him he got angry and tried to threaten me.Barely speak English yet his name is Shawn Miller.

Called saying I owned $$ & if I didn't pay it now , in one hour a warnt will be put out for me & I will not be able to get a job for 6 months & I will have a black mark on my ssc. Said I would have to pay 300 plus fees equaling out to 2000 somethinh $$ Called the bank bc they said they put a block on my account because something was fishy.... SCAM!!!!!!!

This person criminaly advised my fiancee that she was under arrest. Furthermore said she was to be attested.FBI must be aware, absolutely disappointed.

Some dude called and left me a message saying the samething. It has to be scam. I hope the cops don't come here!

Called and said he is calling from the California State Attorney's Office, but said their business hours are eastern time...really a scam.

Called and told me they were from a lawyers office and I had 3 charges against me. The "lawyer" is the one that answered the phone which I find hard to believe. He was very rude when I asked for his bar number he said I would get that from the sheriff. Filing a complaint with the FTC.

Multiple calls into my business seeking one of my employees. Said he was with the State Attorney office for Texas, but could not name the state attorney or the attorney general.  Told me it was regarding a collections matter, which would be illegal to disclose to a non-party.  When I told him he could be honest with me or receive no assistance, he threatened that the sheriff would arrest me for not helping him.

Pretty blatant scam.  I recorded the calls and am reporting to FTC and Texas Att. General.

I just received a call from 214-814-5094 looking for my coworker. This man had what appeared to me as a heavy Indian accent. His English was very limited, furthermore, he couldn't even pronounce my coworker's name correctly. The man introduced himself as William Jordan and said he is from State Attorney Office Law Department calling about a legal matter. On my caller ID, this phone number appeared as a TX number. The man repeated his phone number twice and then wanted me to read it back to him. I read it as ".. five-oh-nine-four" but he said, "no, it's five-zero-nine-four." This correction raised a red flag and I Googled the phone number and found these post.

This 214-814-5094 number is NOTHING but a PayDay Loan SCAM. They will try and get your information and either steal your identity or use or bank accounting information for themselves and ultimately ruin your credit. DO NOT PICK UP. IT IS A SCAM

Got a voicemail this morning saying i needed to call this number back it was time sensitive and he needed to talk my attorney. well when i called back he said i was being sued for fraud on my email well he was from india or somewhere sounded like so i had trouble understanding him and when i ask him if he could repeat something he started yelling" if you would shut up and shut your mouth then i could talk, can you do this do you understand me!" i said excuse meee and he proceeded to tell me tht the police would be at my place of work today to get me. The number was (214)8145094.

This guy who has an accent called my house and work-he said his name is Scott Johnson-give me a break
he has an accent and it can not be he was scott johnson. I could hardly understand him-he seems like covering his mouth.

Many of us have bought Call Blockers.   It's a shame that we have to spend money to keep out the fleas and rodents,  but it's worth it for the peace of mind of not hearing a phone ring.

I got the same calls all week this and last week everyday. It was a guy and a women who was calling me. They said I would go to jail in the next few days. They even know the last 4 numbers of my ss. I'm getting tired of these people calling me. What can I do? I hang up on them every time and they call me back 3 times in a row. Good luck to everyone else with the same problem

I recently received a call from that same number and it sounded like and Indian man. He said that I need to find me an attorney because I have unpaid bills and charges r been filed against me. He said that I will b arrested and also my accounts will b seized if I don't pay $499 that same day. At first I was scared like crap but then knew that it was all a scam.

I too just got a from call from these idiots - it think his name was chris brown he tells me he is from the states attorneys office I am like oh yeah which one and why are u calling me from texas when I don't live there!!! and he had an extremely heavy india accent. He asked me if I had an atttorney and what kind of attorney - like that matters to him. I told him a very powerful one and wanted to know why he was calling me - said someone was suing me and was surprised I didn't know about it - He told me to check my spam folder - (my first clue this was a scam.) He then hangs up and calls again because he must not have thought I understood him..I told him if there was anything against me I would have gotten something in the mail and what he was doing was illegal u cannot call someone over the phone and threaten them. If he ever calls agian I am going to record the conversation and send it to the fbi - these people really need to be stopped.
