I have been receiving threating calls also from this number saying that there is a charge against me pending in court about a check fraud  and I should call Monique immediately. I called the number and a recording came on. They also call from an 800 number. I know nothing about this matter.

214-865-7081 is the number they are calling from.  It is a recording saying that charges have been filed against you for check fraud in your county.  If you wish to speak to an agent, press 1.  Through a few back and forth calls,  I learned through this agent that this company didn't have my name, my phone number in their computer system. (So how could they call me?).  The agent stated he had no idea why I was being called and told me to ignore it.  2 hours later this company calls again, same recording. I pressed 1 and got the very same guy I'd spoken to a few hours ago! (Can't be a very large company,  huh?).   This time I told him, very nicely, that we are on the Do Not Call List and if his company calls again, I will have to report him to the State Attorney General.   He sounded nervous and said that all he can do is enter notes into his computer that this is the wrong number and we are on the Do Not Call List.  He said there was nothing more he could do.  He sounded very apologetic.

Been getting calls from this number at 630 in the morning. Voice mail says "this is Ashley Smith calling for (my husband's name) regarding check fraud allegations with pima county. This must be resolved today.  Again this is for (my husband's name) age 34"  I Google number and saw that it was a scam so I blocked the number. Then my husband gets a call from his brother in texas. Seems ms. "Smith" called my sister in law looking for my husband. So I decided to call them this morning. I was told it had to do with check fraud last year. There has been no such thing on our part. Not even one insufficient funds or anyrhing. The only check we ever write is to pay our rent to my brother in law! Anyways I'm transferred to a top notch scumbag! He told me it was about a 2009 bank of america account my husband had. I told him we did not have a checking account in 2009!  He said not you your husband I said he didn't have an account either. We were going through bancruptcy. He interrupted me and said "don't worry we won't call you anymore. I'm sending this straight to pima county and the sheriff's will be there to pick your husband up. See you in court " I laughed and said um ok have fun with that scam artist. He said "f#$ k you f@cking b*tch a $$ w***e!" I called back cause I'm pulled into their crap (shame on me I know) I told them I'm the one who was just called a  (what I typed up there) and he said yeah well what did you call him. I said scam artist. He said your the scam artist! Go get another payday loan and don't pay it back you piece of...." I said oh now it's a payday loan? Not check fraud with bofa like you first said? I told them stop calling me stop calling my family and oh btw am recording this call and he said " stop calling us. You are harassing us . I don't know what you are talking about! I don't even have this number in our records. Stop calling." I don't think I will be hearing from them anymore. Then again these thugs are relentless BEWARE

I just got two calls from them back to back.  And, yes, no return call number.  What dumbasses.  STR (or possibly FTR) Group.  Since I haven't written any checks or anything like that in over 10 years, My Garino can go take a flying....

Call blocker might be your best bet.  Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize.

Same here.  They called me on 4/4/14 as STR Group and the name was Mr. Durito.  I don't owe any payday loans...I wish they would quit harassing people!

I recevied a call from this number 214-865-7082 (said his name was Mr. Dorito) from STR Group. I paid off my payday loan in 2004. They keep calling and when I block the number they call from other numbers.  I do not owe any payday loan and I am not returning there calls.  This is really a nuisance to keep getting these calls but I keep blocking the numbers as many times as they call

This call is in regarding check fraud against you since last year, attempting to collect a debt, which is registered with the Pierce County Court House.

I have been harassed for check fraud from TX, IL, GA, NY, SC, NC, I have called BBB, AG in State of WA complaining
that debt collectors have informed me I owe Advanced Til Pay Day which was a short term loan company in the State of WA in 2002-2007.  
I did borrow a short term loan in 2005, & paid the loan off,  in 2007 Advanced Til Pay Day was banned from the State of WA, Washington Mutual Bank was bought out by J P Morgan Chase,  I did not borrow from A T P in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, I did let $ 130.00 go through electronically from my bank account, on 10/03/2013  & when I called an 800 # to find out if the funds had been collected, I got a porn site! Needless to say, I froze access to my bank account.
I contacted AG, & BBB, explaining the problem.  I have been threatened by debt collectors from 6 States for the same debt, I'm asked if I have a receipt for the bill being in question; NO ONE from Advanced Til Pay Day has contacted me in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013,  I had & still am being harassed by collection agencies which do not exist, I j've checked with several states & nothing! I've gotten phone calls on my iPhone, home phone with the message you are being served, this is an attempt to collect a debt.   I have not had police or any one from court houses contact me at home with a court order to appear in court.

I have already tlaked to Attorney General several times over.  The caller did not even know my name to begin with... My lifelock alerts tell me that someone is trying to acess public records.  Nothing on credit check and the bank would have contacted me be by now.  Also the time period the male caller stated that the check was within the last year.... Definite red flag with that comment. No listing for such a company also.

You obviously don't know a thing about payday loan services and you don't know the laws related to them. It is a loan, it is not the same as writing a bad check. Also, their collection practices are illegal. Using scare tactics and threatening to have someone arrested for nonpaymet on a debt is illegal.

how dumb are you people? if you take out a payday loan and have the funds transferred into your bank account, its an electronic check,,,, when you supply your rounting and account info for them to take the funds back, if the funds are not available it bounces,,,, (bounced check) its funny because everyone has excuses to pay what they owe (scum bags)

The caller identified himself as David Goldstein on my v-mail.  He said  that I should have received a packet in the mail, that I was served for some check fraud that their client has waged....and if I hadn't yet received this packet to call him immediately @ 401-400-7399 so they can resolve this issue.  
I know nothing about this & I have never issued a fraudulent check in my life.   I have not responded but I have blocked this number on my phone.   I know this is a SCAM!!!  I just wish the "do not call" lists worked as I am on 2 of them...State & Fed.

First of all, ONLY law enforcement folks will serve papers.  If they call, ask for everything to be sent to you IN WRITING.  I've done this and they stopped and sent nothing in writing.  These guys are idiots!!!!!

Someone called my cell from 214 865-7082 today saying I was going to be served and papers would be sent to my home address.  They asked me to call a number I did not record.  Obviously not the local court system.  They didn't say my name or address.

I got a call from the 214 865 7082 and the Guy told about some court thing this was on my answering machine he left a number 401 400-7399 . Yes I called back but I called the 213 not the 214 the Guy did not know what to say I hung up and did some looking ( GOBLE MEDIA) and they go by more names is a Debt collector used by Sprint and some other cell phone /phone company and they do some other debt collecting stuff so its not more then a collector trying to get money .. ( I don't know if this is true but I was told a collection agency can't call your mobile phone dose anyone know about this? )

I am getting phone calls from this company Globle Check processing / Globle Media . The phone is wireless 214-865-7082 is in Dallas TX and the 2nd number they gave me is 401-400-7399 which is wireless ( I looked up the number on a different site which shows you they come from a wireless company) In Providence RI..
He is telling me he is going to have me arrested for check fruad.  We told me we are looking in to this with our lawyer it freaked him out for about a second.. But We really do have a lawyer and we are filing complaints with our AG , the BBB, and police in our state as well as the states were the phone numbers are located...
We told them if we have a debt we would handle it but only this the proper company,  and that we were told not to pay them anything. until we knew for sure what the truth was.. This was buy the Org Company they said I had the debt with.. They are helping us to find out what happened...   be careful these guys are bad!!

I receive automated phone calls from Ms Morgan and they leave 214-865-7082. I called the number and they are looking for a Mr. Rouol Adams I think. I explain to them there is no such person here. Then the threats start! It appears it is an extortion scam to get me to send them money or provide someone elses name so that can harass them. Or it is a pay day loan scam and they bought a bad debt and are trying to get someone  to pay them. The only way they will stop is someone finds out exactly who they are then Law Enforcement catches them and they do time and lose money. But what normally happens is that they switch boiler room, call centers etc , numbers etc . And management moves on and the callers get nab or grow up. The only thing you can do is laugh at them! And ignor them until they go away. Remember the more time they waste the more unprofitable it becomes! Time is money!!!! So keep calling me because I like to play and cost you time and money since I am retired and it provides entertainment for me know that the con men/women get frustrated and lose time and Money! Ha Ha Ha!!!!

I was receiving automated calls from this same woman from a New York number claiming to represent a law firm. Then the numbers went to an 866 line, now they're from a 214 line and calling from a number within the state. I can't find any legitimate information on any of the companies the woman claims to be working for. They have never once given any information identifying me and keep saying that they're going to ask me for information to "confirm" my identity. You can't talk to anyone without pressing "1", which I'm not about to do under such illegitimate circumstances.
So frustrating. I have been getting these calls two or three times a week for the last few weeks.

Getting a call from this number all the time......don't know anything about it. haven't used it. Don't do things with checks. I saw this and knew it was something bogus. They say the same thing over and over. The messages are recorderd and it makes calls to leave you a message so you will call them. It's all rip off sacm artists and it's going crazy anymore. These people are harassing me and my wife by phone. I told them to communicate by mail only. They have not stopped calling and we received no postage from them. They need to stop.

Received a call from Global Check Processing.  It was a recording about paying some "mythical" debt.

Received a phone call from this number stating owe a pay day loan which i never heard of.
