The weekend past my household as well as my next door neighbors household both held garage sales on Friday and Saturday.  Late (9:45) Sunday night "Ray" from this number called my land line phone which is a listed number, spoke with my partner and said I had given Ray my name and number to call on Monday morning to come and collect the remaining garage sale items as a donation.  I do not know whether or not "Ray" is on the up and up I cannot attest to however, the fact that he lied is enough to be a red flag to me.  I never spoke with anyone at any organization, never gave my name or number and certainly never told anyone we would be donating all leftover garage sale items to "Ray" or any organization he may or may not represent.  We live in a very UN trustworthy society these days.  There are too many people running their own agendas, scams, etc., and in my eye if you begin any experience right from the get go with a lie, I consider you dangerous.  Ray, clearly you are tracking the homes of families who hold garage sales in some way.  If you are legit and with a legitimate organization I would recommend you not begin your interaction by lying from the beginning.

We had a garage sale the other weekend and we received a call a few days later .  He said he would be buy the next day to pick up the rest of the stuff.  I insured him we had already given the remaining things from the sale to another charity.  
He was still insistent.  Then he proceeds to call the next two days.  Very pushy and unprofessional

what some people do to get free stuff so they don't have to work.  If they would just get off their Butts and get out there and work instead of con people into giving things to him. wow

Received a call from him had wrong name and address. Really creepy though and very insistent that he has the right number and person.

So how do you stop someone from lying to the public to get things??

It is really SAD that you have to ? the organization  when you want to give.  I think I will NOT ever Give to this one!!!!

Ray Tome left a message stating he would be in my area and would pick up the remnants of my garage sale.  He called back today and I spoke with him on the phone.  He said he was representing the Vietnam Vets.  When I told him the garage sale was cancelled due to weather, he suggested I donate all of my items to the Vietnam Vets and get an attractive tax deduction.

This man was pushy, gruff and inquisitive - he tried to verify my name and at that point I hung up.  

I do not believe he legitimacy represents the Vietnam Vets.

This guy rents from an owner who lives in Waldorf, MD.

This individual calls and asks for donations, flirts with caller, then harasses the females who respond.

Called the Veterans, and he does not work or represent them.

This guy needs to be stopped.

I don't trust anyone who collects your address from a yard sale listing and then searches for your phone # .... AND .... continues to call repeatedly asking for your yard sale remains. That's just creepy. As the wife of a vet, I'd love to donate to the cause but I haven't been able to find anything on-line to verify his legitimacy. I think he's collecting stuff to resell for his own benefit.

Now go back to the boiler room and try to steal some more money.  Thanks.

I met Ray the same way most of the above individuals did, I had my questions and some doubt.  However, let me assure all that Ray is with the Vietnam Veterans Foundation and the foundation is legit.  If ever again, you are approached by Ray please assist the foundation in their needs if you have been blessed to do so.  I am glad I met the representative of this foundation and I challenge all reading to do their part and help our Vets who, some even died for our freedom.  Thanks.

They called, I answered.  The caller mispronounced our name and I hung up.

If it is the Vietnam Vet foundation don,t donate to them.  I understand they are not an honest organization.  Management keeps the money and nothing goes to the vets

He adress me by my first name and ask If i have anything that i could donate for vietnam veteran foundation of my garage sale at my shop location,but i don't have no garage sale going on and i no longer at that location.

Said they were kidney foundation.  then called back and started flirting with my wife.  She said dont call back

It said it was Ray with Vietnam Veteran Foundation

Keep recieving calls from this company every night. They never leave a message.
