I got a call from this same number and I could not understand the man I said do what two times still could not understand him so I told him when he could learn to speak English give me a call back and I hung up on him

The same kind of calls was made to me.  The woman with heavy accent who could not pronounce my name said similar statements as she had said to all others on this site (you have not paid your taxes and three federal lawyers are after you!!).  It is unbelievable that she dared to call me back at my office and leave her name and phone number again at my work along with repeating the same type of stupid statements.

I think they should be caught, somehow so they stop harassing people.  

This is the second time I have got a call from this number within the last 2months and I have now registered for the DO NOT CALL LIST but it will take effect after 30 days or so.

There was a person who spoke English with a Spanish accent claiming to be from some law office , and left a voice mail. When I called back it goes to some extension number. I think the feds should take this as a serious violation and act immediately.

Called me today, said it was jordan lopez from federal crime network.  call him back or there would be "problems"

They called stating that that there a complaint against me. The name given was Officer Scott. Asked me to call (646) 713-2932. On calling these numbers it goes to voice mail asking you to leave your name/ phone number. They are naïve! Importantly, sounded very Indian. It is a prank!

Similar story here . Some guy by the name of Alan Walton from "Federal Bureau of Crime Investigations "
called today and said I was in some legal trrouble and asked him to call back. I did not bother.

Same call today ... same Jordan Lopez calling. When I called back, he did not have the telephone number he called at on his file!!

Got a call from this number and they said I was under investigation for identity fraud and I needed to callback. If not, all responsibility would be mine. This is the second time that I recieve such a call. Not sure how to stop these people.

I received a call from a man with heavy accent. He claimed to be a federal agent working for IRS. He introduced himself as officer Paterson. He told me I owed $ 3312.12 past due taxes. When I said you have send me something in the mail to show my accountant he said I should talk to their legal office. Someone else who tried hard to imitate a Brooklyn accent came on and said the same thing.
They had three arrest warrant and the marshal is coming to arrest me if I don't pay immediately. I hung up. They called back and told me I was going to be sent back to my motherland and harnessed me for a good 15 minuets. It was awful. What is interesting is that they call people with foreign name.

I too got a call and they said they would arrest me if I didn't call back!

Got a call from this number they left me a message. The caller claims that he is Jordan Lopez and is an investigating officer from Federal Crime Enforcement Network. He has very thick middle eastern accent and not Indian for sure. He said that I have committed three federal crimes and that my identity is under investigation. I was asked to call back other wise there will be severe consequences and I will end up in jail. Don't worry, it's just a SCAM. Somehow they have my name and address. Be aware Folks.

First let me thank everyone for sharing on this website .  I got the call today,  Listening to the message first. I was little terrified,  after few seconds it was clear that this was not real FBI -  It appears that some with heavy accent pretending to be FBI is making this calls -

I got a call from this number from someone name Peter Paxton wanting to speak to my father in law. He said that there is a legal notice for him and they are in PA and want him to send money. he then started speaking in a very heavy indian accent and said that i should tell my father in law to stop hiding behind a woman.

I told them I will be reporting them to FBI (real FBI)

I recieved a call from this number, who had left a message in the answering machine - heavy accent.  Pretty threatening.  Scam artists.  I'm sure if they make 100 calls a morning, at least one or two will give theri credit card number - enough to hijack your money for several days.  Just hang up, if you do pick the call. And, be safe.

these people must think we have no iq. they said they were police officers name jordan lopez. since when does jordan lopez come with a thick middle eastern accent. tried calling back, if it was a police officer i'm sure there would have been an operator to address the call. luckily they didn't answer my phone call. if they call  back i will tell them to personally collect the information by finding me where i am since they supposedly have the information. i will be sure to give them more than what they want.

Received the same message above. Its a scam DONT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY! Instead just cuss them out and hang up. These idiots threatened to deport me if I didn't cooperate. I'm an American for Gods sake. Where the hell are they going to send me, to MARS!.  

What I believe is their target is South Asian immigrants. They speak with heavy accent, if you use some vocabulary, they can't continue conversation. Just don't get scared when you get a call. And put them in their position with your language. That's what they deserve.

I received the call with the same alligations above and asked me to pay $4,000 immediately or else we get arrested or passport will be cancelled. The guy  faking the American accent.

Thank you, so much! after reading these post I am confirmed that I got a hoax call too. A guy with heavy mexican accent called and left a message that he is from Federal Bureau of Investigation and has a case filed against me of fraudulent identity and threatened me to call back ASAP to avoid legal action. Thanks for the post here that I did not respond to him.

I received a message this morning and was upset after hearing the message. Some one having heavy foreign accent threatened me and said that he is  officer Daniel Smith calling from Federal Legal Department and there is a legal investigation against your name and ID. If I don't call them immediately, he will follow legal action against me and my ID, I searched this number on Google and got this page.

A guy with a very deep Indian accent called and left a message I called back and he introduced himself as Jerry Black from Federal investigations. He threaten that I committed a bank fraud and tax fraud and when I told him send whatever your claim is in the mail and he doesn't sound like a Jerry Black he told me how dare I talk to him like that and " see you behind the Bars " and hanged up on me. I did call our local police department and report it.

I got same BS call. Said he was Officer John Stevens with HEAVY Indian accent and that they received a Tape and Affidavit and my SS# was under investigation. I'll call back and tell them to f-k themselves and that i'm reporting to police.

Received a call from a man who claimed to be the Investigative Officer Daniel Smith.  He mentioned that I violated federal law related to banking and securities, but he could not tell what the crime was.  They passed the phone to an attorney who told me that the problem was actually with IRS and demanded a large sum of money to settle the matter offline.  They also threatened that the warrant will be immediately issued and I will be thrown out of the country (I am a US citizen!).  I asked them to start proper legal procedure.

After I hung up, I called the local police station.  The officer thought that it was a prank call, and he gave me the number to check warrants.  I called the arrest warrant checking number and found that there was nothing against my name.

I received a message from this number that I am under federal investigation. When I call back, he couldn't find my information and asking my name again and again. Apparently, they didn't even know my name. Three different people came to talk with me to find more information about me. Finally, I kind of understood that they are not from this country. So I replied to them to I did not care and hang up the phone.

I received a message this morning and was panic after hearing the message. Some one having Italian accent threatened me if I don't call them immediately, they will issue an arrest order against me. They said somebody stolen people's identity using my name. If I don't call them they will consider me as the criminal and will arrest me.I am a professor of a university and was surprised why I should be arrested if somebody using my name involving in criminal activities!!My other family members were worried about this call. Last of all I searched this number on Google and got this page. Thanks them who open this website for helping victims like me.

Same story here, these guys are big time pranks.they talk with some stupid accent, answer them stupidly and they will shut up.

there is a message on our machine for my husband. about an affidavit against his name - the caller said he was fbi - sounded like a hoax right from the start!

Same story here. Got a call and he said he is with Federal Government. He said I have back taxes due for 2010 and 2011 and they would be arresting me and all that. Big Legal trouble is what he said . Called the State Police and they pointed to County Police. The County Police checked the number and called them. As per County Police they are calling from Afghanistan . Looks like a Call center. No action taken by County or State Police since we did not fall for their trick and paid any money. Hope this information helps others.
