Got the 'on hold music' treatment, like Molly above.  Came through on my cell phone, even though I'm filed for 'no telemarketer' calls in my state.  Blocked the number on my phone.

Woman with heavy accent keeps calling asking to speak to VP of Information Systems.  Clearly does not understand that I will not put her thru.  She has tried several different phone lines to different execs.  I flat out told her that I would not connect her and she told me she'd call back.

Caller calls us at least 10x a day asking for IT and Acct. folks. So annoying!

Just picked up call from this number and was "Treated" to some stupid music - you call ME and put ME on hold.  I don't think so.

I hate playing 20 Questions.  A man with a heavy accent wanted a specific IT manager.  I asked what the call was in reference to, and he said, "It's a follow-up call."  Following up what?  "An email."  What was the email about?  [Some kind of information; couldn't understand him.]  So he wants to introduce his company?  "No, I want to follow up an email."  You're imparting information, so that makes it a solicitation.  "No-no-no, I'm not selling anything."  Sorry, Charlie, I'm transferring you to Purchasing.

Next time they call, pick up the phone and say, Springfield Police.  We did that and they stopped calling!!  :  )

Woman with broken English first tried to reach an "ivory" at our office and had the wrong company name but it was so difficult to understand her at all. I was able to disconnect but then she called right back asking for someone on our admin team for "customer research." I put her on a long enough hold that when I came back she just said "thank you" and hung up. I hope this doesn't continue!

Guy called, said he sent something to my boss; couldn't really even understand what he was saying.  Told him if he was interested, he would have responded; if he hadn't responded, then he wasn't interested.  Asked me if I knew who was responsible for spend management, told him I didn't (even though I do) so I said thank you and hung up.

Received these calls on my work line several times a day. I am in HR and normally do not answer numbers I don't know because they are usually sales calls. I let them leave a message and if it is someone I do want to talk to I can call back. A gentlemen called last week from this number with a very heavy accent and mentioned that he wanted to talk to me about Kronos (a payroll system) and some of their research. I advised we are happy with our current system and said no thank you and hung up. Same person called again today. You can barely understand a word he says. I told him again, we are not interested and hung up. Since then he has called several more times which I did not answer

Got this call today; could barely understand through the heavy accent.  Obviously, this is an off-shore call center.  They wanted our Accounting Manager to discuss "sales and marketing".  I told them that she is not in charge of sales and marketing, and told him that obviously this is a sales call.  He insisted that it wasn't; that he wanted to set-up a 30-minute call with whoever is in charge of sales and marketing.  I told him that we were not interested, and hung-up on him.  It is unfortunate when companies outsource their calls to vendors that are not located in the United States and do not speak English clearly.

I run the front desk at our company.  These people started calling our office a few days ago and wanted our IT Mgr. Since I need to screen all calls and since nobody in our office takes sales calls, I asked if this was a sales call. He wouldn't tell me if the call was a sales call or not.  He had a heavy accept and I could barely understand what he was saying and it sounded like he was reading from a script.  He kept saying he wanted to talk to our IT Mgr. and sounded like he wasn't going to take no for an answer. I finally said so this isn't a sales call?  He still wouldn't tell me...........so, I just said I'm sorry but if your call is a sales call please take us off your list and I hung up.  They called here again yesterday and asked me again for the IT Mgr. and said please take us off your list - THANK YOU, and I hung up.  Today here they are again!  Same thing.....I told them one more time, please take us off your list and hung up!   I mean, HELLO, can't they understand the word NO??  Maybe they don't understand!  Since I wrote down their phone number, now I can see when they call.  They called here about six times in the last 30 minutes. I just picked up the receiver and hung it back up!   I'll keep hanging up on them until they quit!   When they call the connection isn't good - It sounds like it's from overseas not Pennsylvania.

2nd call today from this number...at least it does seem to be the same person at the other end.  For me, it's been a woman who calls herself Jessica, and has an accent that sounds as if Spanish is her native language.  She has called my VP's line, saying that her call is about the two words that follow "Vice President" in his title.  I have expressed that all calls to him are about that topic, but she doesn't seem to be smart enough (or have a strong enough grasp of English?) to understand that I'll need more detail.  She insists that she needs to set an appointment with him, but won't accept that I'm the one who'll set the appointments.  Poor thing is NEVER going to get through.

They've been calling my office for weeks, however, I never answer and they never leave a message.  The calls come in bursts of 4-5 in a 10 minute period.

Called Friday and this morning from this number. Tried to catch it this morning but it hung-up so I assume it is a dialer on the other end. Do Not Call Registry has your number staying on it permanently now (since 2007) so I registered my number and will file a complaint after the 31 day waiting if it continues.

I just started getting calls from this number, but they've called me 3 times in the last hour. WTF!?

Been receiving calls for weeks from this number.  I finally answered it last week and told him to stop calling me.  He's been calling every day since then which I haven't answered until today.  Reminded him we spoke last week and that I had hung up on him.  I told him today to stop calling and hung up again.  He used the name of Mike Miller but was very accented...undoubtedly a false name.

Not picking up, but this number has been calling my office line three or four times a day this week. Never leaves a message.

This person called first and hung-up and then called back and made very little sence, very hard to understand even when talking slowly the accent is very strong and unclear as why or what they where calling about.

I have told this individual we are not interested, and they continue to call several times a day.

This party has been calling me 4-5X daily; I answered once. Heavily accented speaker "Not trying to sell you anything" says she wants me to take a short survey. I declined, and now the call frequency has gone up because they got me to pick up once.

What part of "No"...?
