They just called here 10 minutes ago.One time they called i told them he's dead then they asked me to donate.I told them they work for the state don't they have life insurance? I told them i am not giving when i live on 800 dollars a month with no life insurance.I told them to quit calling my house and a few months later they call again.

We got a call from this number today at 8:23 am and didn't answer. The caller ID was CHARITY. No voice mail message was left. I suspect the number is spoofed, because we got another call from 201-283-9648 today at 12:45 pm with the same caller ID. The reason I believe the numbers are spoofed is area code 215 is Pennsylvania while area code 201 is New Jersey. Both numbers will be blocked.

I got a call from the same number titled "CHARITY" at 11:42AM. When I looked at the caller ID i just laughed and walked away. Then the machine picked it up and all I heard was "Shirley, are you there! Hello are you there?" then just hung up. That's strange, even for a charity. And no one in my house is named Shirley.

They called me at 8:30 AM. Caller Id was "Charity". They left no message. I've had prior contact with the police and firemen association. They are high pressure to get you to donate. Block their call. I will.

As a matter of fact, no the DNC doesn't mean a thing to scammers, scofflaws, political calls, charities, informational calls, surveys, and a host of others. Only Registered with the FTC Telemarketers purchase and obey the list. The others don't have to. Good and read about the DNC and learn its intended purpose and how it functions.

Does the "do not call" list mean anything to any of these jerks? To whom do you report them? I would gladly do it if I knew the correct agency or number.

These jerks need to be stopped. What right do they have to interrupt someone's peaceful evenings with their scams. Stop them now!

Just called here; Caller ID only had number. As usual we just don't answer any unknown number, but we used to get calls from the Police & Fire Associations. Actually we gave them $25 a few times but stopped years ago after learning online what a scam it was.

I agree with Geroge. We get tese calls every year - Police and Firemans Association. We only donate to our local Police and Fireman groups. Screw these guys.

Caller ID: "Charity". No message left. FCC record reveals that this number was located at First Ave & Valley Rd Int., Chester, Coatesville, PA during 2001-2002, and was licensed to Bethlehem Steel Corporation, of 8th and Eaton Aves, Bethlehem, PA 18016, (610)694-2921 at that time.

It probably is the scam that claims to be collecting money for the police and firemans association.
The caller, has a very lucrative business going. He gets ninety cents on every dollar conned.
Ten cents goes to the association!
