Its a free SMS (text messaging) website service http://www.afreesms.com/freesms/ When anyone sends a text message within the USA using that website, that (215) 395-4042 number comes up as the sender. Any replies back is useless, they will not get the reply.

Its gotta be a site that allows u to send free anonymous texts.. I got some last week & now again from this #. Its someone u know being a coward by hiding behind this fake number. I just hope this person got my replies . Does anyone know if the person receives replies? I sent a few and I didn't get any error messages but how would it get to them??

Your comments are hurtful and so not true. If you think hiding behind a phony number makes you feel good then maybe take a look in the mirror and figure out that in fact you are the one who needs to make a change.

You should show me some [removed:lang];D" They spelt my boyfriend's name right. I have no idea who this b*****d is but, my boy and I both have no idea who he is. I haven't even sent/showed anyone pictures. This is stupid. And then they said "And you can post that last message on Facebook and send some naked pictures to Josh *****."(Not saying his last name) then saying "Yeah, umm, he's my best friend, and I want him to see your [removed:lang]."  So disgusting. Report/block them.

A stranger added me on facebook and started talking to me. I wanted him to text or call, so that I knew if he actally lived in New York and not India (where he was from). Fake profile, or real. He sent me one text from this number.

It is a from a website that generates free text messages to what ever phone number you want.  Most likely it is someone you know
