I received this email today. He wanted to pay by VISA ...I told him Canadian Currency only.

Recently had a scam racket in Ghana trying to buy mannequins, I delayed them and they couldn't give me a address in Australia (shipping) I new it was a scam and they canceled order when they knew I was on to them.

This CRAP is a SCAM! These people say they need crap for an Orphanage but they don't. They use other people's credit cards to buy stuff then leave that person in the dust to clean up the mess. What A-holes! Rev. Larry Scott and Rev John Hurley are FAKE!!!!!!! If you receive a call from a number witht he prefixes of 336, 215 or 324 dont answer it! Emails are going out too about crap needing help and they need to ix up Orphanages! Not gunna happen JERKS!

I have just had an e-mail from Mary Jay from the Continental Church for a flooring order - told her we don't do wood which we don't...

I own an awning company and just today "John Jeremy" sent me an email asking a price and payment terms for the purchase of 5 retractable awnings and gave a specific size.  He also asked if I didnt have the size he requested that he would like to purchase other sizes which is very unusual and VERY suspicious.  I copied his email address into the Google search bar and read all the posts on this site.  This guy is a scammer ~ Beware!

I copy all e-mails which I reveved from thats same  scamer. He also call me twice from number 00233244151790. He rush me with the order and  want bank details to transfer money :)) But .... Im not that stupid !!!

I got contacted by the same guy, this time his name is MICHEAL HOOK a pastor from a presbyterian church orphanage home in South Africa, wanting to buy originally 120 s/y of carpet and after he called changed it to a 500 s/y. I googled his church and took me to this page

Not a phone call, but an email.  The guy is now operating as John Jeremy [john.jeremy50@yahoo.com].  The shipping company he is referencing is Envoy Cargo Express, and is asking me to contact Lisa Powers, via email.

This is the second scammer I've dealt with this year.  Another was some lady from Bolivia or something, wanting bank routing information.

It said he was from Presbyterian church.  He wanted a quote on some sheet metal.  Since we do work for several Presbyterian churches in town, I sent him a quote and asked which church he belonged to. He responded by confirming his order and doubled it. (red flag)  He said he was at Presbyterian Church 2317 Bannerman Rd. Tallahassee, FL 32312 and Bishop Wayne would accept delivery in Accra Ghana 00233. 305 897 4783(red flag) Everything else read just like everyone else's email concerning shipping prices, contacts, etc. (red flag) When I went to www.presbyorphanage.org (website given by 'John Jeremy')it said 'file not found'. (red flag) Then I saw your website and my red flags were confirmed.

I, like the post above pegged it as fraud from inquiry 1 based on voice not matching name, him being quick to want to proceed despite costs, email address, because most Dr.'s have better typing skills than a 3rd grader, wanted freight charges from company with hotmail account lmao, and most obvious is the lack of details + oh by the way Africa. This fella is also going by the name Rev. John Ryan.  "Helping out an orphanage in Ghana"  Wanted to order banners.

On August 11, 2009 I received a phone call from Rev. Paulsen Howard.  The connection was terrible and he requested that he send me the specs he needed via e-mail. This is something that I do often, so I didn't think anything of it.  However, when I received the first e-mail, I found his wording suspicious - very similar to the housing scams that are running out there.

However, this morning, we received his follow up response requesting that we send the countertops to an "Orphanage Home" in Finland - conveniently called "Orphanage Home Finland" due to the fact that he conveniently forgot to mention that despite the fact that he stated he wanted to pick up the tops, he now was in the UK and needed us to ship internationally.

Yes,I was contacted with virtually the same scoop on April 13th. Aside from the poor spelling it seemed plausible until he asked for shipping info to the foreign address. These people must think we have difficulty putting 2 & 2 together.

I got exactly the same email from Rev Paulsen Howard and he wanted to order 30 cube stools, fortunately, his written English was a bit suspect, which set off alarm bells. Thankfully, I googled his name and your posting confirmed my fears.  Thank you.
