said that they are ??binghamun?? university and according to assessment program they have I have an opportunity to get a master degree based on my resume, He was pretending that uploading my resume . the funny thing that I already did my masters and when I told him that he started talking about PHD award without studying based on the work experience.

Just got a call from this to my Google Voice. I literally never give out my Google Voice number so I have absolutely no idea how they would've got it. I sent it straight to voicemail and they immediately hung up.

Being on the DNC list does not mean that telemarketers are blocked from calling only that you are on a list of numbers that businesses must remove from their calling lists if the purpose of the call is to sell goods or services.  In addition, the vast majority of the call centers where these call originate use automated dialers that step through all numbers in a given area code in sequence one right after the other.  Unless they ask for you by name or ask for the name the phone is listed under, there is a good chance your number was generated by the computer that controls the automatic dialers.  However, the other parts of your post are correct.  Many of the Internet Voice over IP phone services allow the user to set their caller ID information to anything they wish which is the primary reason we get so many calls originating from overseas call centers but displaying a US/Canadian phone number.

I do not typically post on sites like this.  I was doing a search to confirm what I already suspected.  No one in this thread said anything to confirm but I will at least post what I suspect.

That number along with a VERY large bank of numbers is used by web sites and apps that let individuals make fake calls.  So when receiving a call it is likely you are not getting a call from a company it is coming from an individual that you know or who at least knows your number.  That is why despite having your number on a "do not call" list you still get these calls.  Those site and apps also allow people to change the caller ID that will show up on your phone, so the number you see on your caller ID may not be the number that initiated the call.  Hope this was helpful to someone.

called few times nobody ever there

Recieved this call this morning, same thing about senior alarm etc. busy when called back.  Interesting I only have a cell phone and I chose the option to block this number, and it said it was already blocked, so apparently I had blocked it in the past and it got through to my phone again??

If you don't have enough respect to speak then DO NOT CALL!!!

Called no answer. One of those automatic dial calls to see if anyone is home at that time, so they know when to call you, when the want to sell you their junk!

Four calls from this number in past twelve days..

They rang my phone and when I answered they did not speak...very annoying.

I don't pick up unknown callers but have started adding these type calls to a blocked callers list.  Our phone service calls it "Selective Call Rejection".  In the last 4 or 5 days I have added 7 different numbers to the list.  Unfortunately, I am limited to 12 numbers on the list!

Legitimate businesses do indeed abide by the DNC listings. So if you are getting sales calls then you can be certain it is a scam of some kind.  Criminals do not care about the DNC laws.

Why do I bother to be on the do not call list.why does the do not call list exist? There was a time it worked but suddenly..nothing helps to stop these calls.

Got a call from the 215 525 4578 at about 7:27pm. When I picked it up, it was dead air. Tried to call the number back and it doesn't even ring.

sorry,  I had this mixed up with another scam call that was leaving a message about a wrong trash bill.

This 215 number  called and hung up.  Other hang up calls we've been receiving recently seem to be coming from an electric company, probably trying to get us to switch to their service. Maybe this 215 number is related to that.

a call came from this number, they started leaving a message, supposedly about-  receiving a wrong trash bill. The phone was then picked up, and they said it was the wrong number.   ???    

Maybe they are just checking to see if it is an active number, or if you are at home ??

Thirteen calls from this number in two weeks, we answer, telemarketing announcement for medical alert alarm, dead line.

Got a call from this number  "again".  Scam call........ warning Senior Citizens about what can happen......... then I hung up.

Two calls today, one at 12:18pm, the other at 12:41pm. Caller ID says Philadelphia, PA. They leave no message and if you pick up there is no response. If you try to call the number, as soon as you send, it hangs right up. Never gets to get to a ring. Obviously being on the "do not call" list means nothing.

Two calls every day. Never a voice message. When answered nothing but silent then the hang-up click. caller ID read Philadelphia Pa. If you try to call back you dont even get the ring sounds.

Just got a call from this number, it came up  as Out of Area on the caller ID.  I answered and got an automated message about a senior citizen.  I immediately just hung up.  Just another SCAM and UNWANTED call!  These calls are getting annoying!

My call was only silence on the other end.  From the recent number of calls posted here in the last 24 hours, it looks like a new campaign, but because the message is getting across, someone isn't getting their money's worth.
