That actually got them to hang up. Caller ID just says "Philadelphia PA." If they're trying to switch us away from Duquesne Light, they're out of luck, as that's not even a provider in our region.

Just received a call like this from 215-610-1234, claiming to be with Great American Power. She told me how I would save 15% off my monthly bill and she had a rebate check to mail out to me as soon as we completed my "confirmation" on the phone. I explained to her that I don't respond to telephone offers. If she could send something in the mail, I would review it. "But the only way to get the additional check is to sign up today." Yeah, right. She gave me their website (big deal). She said she'd give me a chance to review the site and then call back. When I googled them, I landed here. Can anyone here tell me how to file a complaint?

Now they are using 443 062 3595 and asking to change from pepco to great American power,calling from seems like a warehouse,lot of noises in the back ground.do not want to send any thing in writing,I do not do buisness over the phone and they hang up.

Just got a similar call from 412-336-5231 asking me for my zip code and my Duquesne Light electric bill account number.  I started asking questions as to who the caller worked for and ge hung up without explanation.

someone from great american power called me and said that they were duquense lite company and offering me a 10 percent discount..i asked them if they were duquesne lite and they said yes..i didnt believe them an told them i wasnt intrested..i know this wont be the last call so im reporting them to evey agency i can..we all should do the same

These scammers also call from 570-221-6083. I take the opportunity to take out a lot of built-up anger and stress on them when they call, so it's sort-of therapeutic for me.

They just called me and said they were a partner of Duquesne Light. These jack***es called me for the past 2 months and I never picked up. Finally, I did. My conversation was similar to Robert's above except I wasn't so polite.

They called a million times - never left message. I finally answered - they said they will save me money by switiching me from Duquesne light to them. I said send me some documentation, they said they can't til after I sign up! I said absolutely not! I asked them not to call. They called again today and hung up as soon as I answered. I called back and got recording to wait for next available blah blah blah.... then "Angie" answered. I said she needs to remove me from her list. She said ok and hung up. I promptly called her back, went through same recording, and "Angie" answered again. I said "Angie, you can't remove me from you list if you don't have my name and number", to which she replied "I already have it and have removed it" and hung up on me.........I'm waiting for the next call............

When I answered they actually told me they WERE duquesne light and asked if I lived at an address that I lived at a year ago.  I said no and they hung up.

I have been getting these calls two or three times a day since someone didn't like me on face book.  I have no idea who it is, but it is harrassing. They do not leave a message and when I answer they hang up.

The company is Oasis Energy. I'm not sure what they're all about but everytime they call me I call them back ten times which seems to piss them off. Everyone sdhould do this to tie up their operators.

It keeps calling me too, so annoying. I think its one of those electric companies that try to offer you a discount which sounds shady. I always ignore them but I'm sick of all these calls.

Never leaves a message, called 3 times in last 4 months.  I just hit ignore.

getting calls for this number several times a week .  It started just after I registered on the do not call list. I never have talked to anyone - when I answer they have already hung up. I do not use my phone much, and this a a major nuisance call.

Yes this number jusr called me, identifying as Oasis Energy, to switch plans. She wanted me to get out tax documents to. I wasn't about to share that kind of info, so I said I'm not signing up for anything today, but you can send me something in writing. She immediately said "Have a nice day sir". The number is not verifiable online as anything legit.

I recommend not doing business with this number.

Same EXACT thing just happened to me! I kindly told them I wasn't signing up for anything today, but they could feel free to send me something in writing. She then immediately said, "Well you have a nice day sir". So shady.

I've received a number of calls from this number to my cell phone.  I never answer & they never leave a message.

they don't leave a message and just hang up after 1 ring. I am tired of receiving these calls. How do we report them?

These people keep calling me everyday but never leave a message.  I answered and nobody spoke to me.  I find this to be very annoying.

yeah, i got a call from this number too, asking me to upgrade my electricity plan, and asking me details like my SSN etc. obviously im not giving those details over phone, so its probably a dangerous fake number

I have been getting calls from this number for the last 2 weeks also. They never leave a message and no answer when I call back. If people dont want to leave a message, then it can't be anything good.

They called me today. the connection was not to good and they never mentioned another company than duquesne light. so i thought it would be a change of contract within duquesne light and i agreed. however i have 10 business day to cancel. do i have to adress my cancelation to oasis energy??

This number has been calling me non-stop since before Christmas. Originally, I just happened to miss these calls because I always work and didn't realize that it was the same number until 2 weeks later when I looked at all my missed calls bunched together. If they left a voice mail. I'd call back. I also thought it was someone in Philadelphia trying to harass me. Which is why I never called back.

I too get these calls almost weekly now. I've answered a few times and told them I wasn't interested in switching utility companies and they still call..

le agent"... I hung up.

I have been getting calls from this number since at least August.  Now it's January and over the past month, they've ramped up their calling to once a week, and now almost every day.  Today I finally answered it.  Nobody spoke on the other end and they hung up on me.  I just want it to stop.

I finally answered after like 30 calls... this is how the conversation went.

Caller: "Can I speak with the person in charge of your Duquesne Light bill?"
Me: "That's me."
Caller: "Did you know you're per-approved for a rate discount?"
Me: "So you're another energy provider?"
Caller: "Yes this is Oasis Energy."
Me: "I'm happy with Duquesne Light. Is there a reason you keep calling but don't leave messages?"
Caller: "Sir we're not allowed to leave messages."
Me: "But you're allowed to telemarket?"
Caller: "We don't consider ourselves telemarketers. Robert you have a great evening." *hangs up*
