Just got the call.  I answered and a voice like Roz from Monsters, Inc. said, "Who'm I speaking with?"  (I think.).  I replied, "Excuse me?"  And then heard nothing more so I hung up.  I did hear background noise like a call center.   Weird.

Several calls without messages over last few days.  First time these bozos have called.  CID says 'Unassigned' but does list the phone number.

I've gotten calls from this number a few times before and ignored them because the area code and number seemed suspicious. Just got a call and was caught off guard and answered. At first when I answered I just heard a din of people, but then a lazy sounding guy kind of slurred my name. When I said "this is him" the guy IMMEDIATELY hung up not a moment later.

I got this call two times this week and nobody there on the first call with clear background noise. The second call I today and they asked for me by name, then silence with clear background noise. They then hung up. The caller ID says "Unassigned" for the name. When I called it back from a different number, it says the number I am calling is disconnected/

Multiple calls received on house phone displaying "215-622-2946" I dont answer unknown numbers and there is never a voicemail left. Based upon the online posts of others it is obvious to me that many people are unaware of at least two major concerns:
1 is that caller ID info is rather easy to "spoof" meaning that the number displayed may in fact have absolutely no truth to who or where the call actually originated.
2 is that this is most likely a "phishing" scam not actually a car warranty sales pitch. These scammers likely just have made up a sales pitch and they keep using it since eventually some unsuspecting victim will give up their credit or debit or checking acount info to the caller. The caller's organization will then empty the victim's bank account.

The first phone number was one in Big Rapids Michigan. Twice I went along and listened to their spiel. $3600 to add to my existing warranty. I told the first guy that would buy a lot of repairs. He said,"good luck with that" and hung up. I got the second guy to tell me he was in Southern California (he may have been trained to suggest that). I told him I didn't want his warranty and to not call back. He knew my car, name, address, and phone number; creepy. I hung up and almost immediately got a call from another number (the one listed above - Pennsylvania) from another guy still trying to sell me his crap. I asked him how to get them to stop calling me and he said to buy the warranty. Stupid on top of being a scammer. So, we have, Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, and oh yeah, the original screeners have a heavy accent so they must be using a call center in India. There ought to be a law, but wait, there is.

Have received several calls from this number in the last several weeks.  Just received another call a few  minutes ago.   The caller ID reads "UNASSIGNED"   The male caller said it was a courtesy call to remind me that  the factory warranty had expired on my car - he knew the year, make and model of my car.  I told him I already had an extended warranty - he then hung up.

Asked them why they kept calling me. Oh we are contacting you about extending your warranty.  Well I have a 10 year warranty from the dealer and only 3 years in so I don't think I need it.  Told them to put anything they needed to tell me in writing and that I didn't like people trying to scam me.  Lady hung up immediately when I said scam. Same company has also called from (731) 518-4269.

Thank you all for your input.  I received a call from this number on my home phone today, 13 May 2014,  but did not answer it.  The caller id showed: "UNASSIGNED", but I assumed it was from Philadelphia since the area code shows "215".  I live in Perth Amboy, NJ I'm glad I didn't answer the phone. I don't need an extended warranty.  However, if I did, I would conduct research on my own and find a reputable company.  I think AAA sells them.   The dealer does, too, but they are quite expensive.

They called me last week & then again today.  They're trying to sell me an extended warranty on a car I no longer own! I asked them NOT to call me, but they persist!  I only have a cell phone & am on the 'no call list' for sales calls, but they don't care.  I finally notified my cell phone provider & we've blocked this number from my phone!  There should be something else we can do to prevent unwanted sales calls!

>> How do we get these calls to stop. <<

Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
Try these alternatives:

1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after 3 rings.

2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

3.  If your cel is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

4.  Google NoMoRobo, and visit their site, to see if your phone system is compatible with that system.  (It may or may not be compatible).

5.  Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

6.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "Amazon phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon has to offer for landlines or smartphones. Similar devices are for sale on eBay and other online stores.

Interesting. Seeing as the 215 area code is in Pennsylvania, it doesn't make sense for it to be a company supposedly located in Irving, TX. I smell a scam.

I picked up the phone. "Louis" was trying to sell me an extended warranty on our car. When I asked the caller who they were, only after asking a few times he said they were Enterprise Financial Group. After asking where they're located (several times) they said Irving, Texas. I played like I might be interested and was transferred to their "financial" person. I asked how they got my unlisted number and he said they got it from the car company. He started asking me about my credit card, etc. I asked for their website. Long story short, I Googled that company as I was on the line, and it appeared to be a legit company in Texas, but who knows. When I told the guy, who said his name was Ryan Palmer, that I wanted to pass on their offer he asked why, and when I told him there were several complaints online about them, he said "are you on the phone because you're just bored, because you have no life?" And hung up and I dialed this number - it didn't give a company name AND the message said they were closed. I called Lexus Corp Hdqtrs. and reported this and they said they do not give out information to competitors as they sell extended warranties themselves! I will be reporting it to the Better Business Bureau and my elected officials.

This number has called my house more than 15 times.  I have spoken to someone multiple times, and they've asked to speak to my husband about extending the warranty on our 2008 Acura MDX.  This vehicle is in MY name, not his.  I spoke to a supervisor once, and he assured me our number would be taken off the list.  I just got off the phone AGAIN with this number, and the rude man said he wouldn't speak to me but had to speak to my husband and hung up on me, even though I told him it was MY car.  When I tried calling right back, I got an automated message indicating their office was closed, and I could call back during scheduled office times, 8-4 Pacific.  How do I get them to stop calling??
