How rude!! Just got a call from these folks. A male voice, saying he was from AMVETS asked if my spouse was home, using my spouse's 1st name. When I said no, the SOB just hung up.

I return the call after repeated incoming calls . when they answered ,Finally, the message i got was from AMVETS.. a non profits. I don't understand there purpose of the calls they call and when i answer , CLICK , they hang up.. No way to raise money I'd say. I might actually donate if the jerks would actually ask for one..  Pain in the a** with all the calls but i think there intentions are honorable i think...     Binkz

AMVETS sounds right.  They've solicited me numerous times before.

called my home number at 12 noon Sunday. when it went to answering machine, caller did not leave message. This was the 4th time this month and my number is registered on the DO NOT Call List!

Calling daily.  No message static...you have heard it before.

These people called bfore 9:00 am Thanksgiving day. They keep the veterans from getting donations

Call in caller ID. Did not answer, 'cause I always Google these "rogue" numbers for legitimacy. Searching 215-792-6755 brought me to this site. Call all you want, guys, I'm not answering your stoopid call!

omg yeah and they won't stop calling us. but they say i am kevin or somethin from the pro fire fighters. they just called me and that's what he said so i go what in a swift tone and he repeats himself and i say yeah sure and hang up. :D i say we form a gaint mob with pitch forks and all that jazz and you know what's next. who's with me!!!

They have been calling me for two months now. I only actually answered once. I was told they wanted money for firefighters. I said no thank you and hung up. They call early almost every other morning. My number is also on the Do Not Call list. So frustrating.

Caller left no message

Called to get me to donate money for the fire-fighters and burn victims. I was going to say no no matter who it was because of a call I got earlier in the day from a scam company asking for donations. He asked me like 3 times to donate and i said sorry i'm not interested then he tried to make me feel bad about it and the last time i said i wasn't interested before i could even finish he hung up. It has to be a scam or else they would get reported for being rude.

Missed the call because they woke me up from a nap, jerks.  Anyway, just thought I'd put it up since I got the caller ID information.

Got I lot of static then nothing.  I'm on the do not call registry

got the call; no message. called back and was advised having tech difficulties and to call back in 48 hours.

These people are unbelievable.  They call several times a week, either first thing in the morning (just after 8 AM) or at night, after 8:30.  My husband and I are both retired and cannot afford to give to any charities right now and they have been told this already and to take our number off their list but they still call.  Whoever they hire to call "on behalf" is obnoxious and it's always the same guy.  If they call again I will file a complaint with their organization and they will never get another dime out of us again.

This is a veteran's assocation calling for support.  Couldn't get anyone to answer when I called back, just a recording.  Not sure if it is bogus or not.

called at 12:10pm on SUNDAY - of course no message left when I allowed answering machine to capture the call.  My number is on the Do Not Call Registry - but increasingly that seems to NOT make a difference.  Lack of teeth in a law or rule makes the wording useless.

They are relentless...they need to stop, please

This number phoned my home and when the answering machine picked up there was about 30 seconds of static (almost sounds like a car phone) and then disconnect.
