I don't have Wells Fargo to Wachovia accounts. Why the hell are they calling me?
peace 2011-06-28 23:38:39 Unknown
I received a phone call from the number 215-809-2157. I called the number back and it answered stating they were Sykes. Why are these scum bags getting away with this nonsense?

I am a virizon cell person under someone elses plan. Today I received a phone call from the number 215-809-2157. When the person did not leave a message on my answer machine I called the number back and it answered stating they were Sykes. The message indicated that I could leave my phone number on their do not call back and so I did. I am hoping that I did not add my phone number to a scam. Further I do not think it is fair that they can call cell phones and I have to pay for this phone call. I did not ask them to call me.

amatt78 2011-06-10 16:30:35 Unknown
they left me a message saying they were from D&B ( Dun & Bradstreet ) trying to verify my work and employment information. Maybe I'll answer the next time they call.

I called Wells Fargo and they said they do not outsource this service and they would never ask for any account information over the phone.(They already have it). The info is legit about the change in handling overdrafts on your debit card but do not call some random number and give them your information. If you want to use the overdraft protection call or go to YOUR bank.

Got the same call about 10 minutes ago, said he was from Wachovia, told him I was busy to call me back, I called the bank and the rep said, if changes were being made to my account I would be the one calling the bank, not the other way around. It's a SCAM! (07/07/10)

Your answer makes no sense. It is now January, so I doubt that Wells Fargo is calling me now about changes to my debit card in August.
My guess is that YOU MUST BE THE SAME FRAUD MAKING THE CALLS, hoping that we will believe that this is real.
blahblah 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
I called 215-809-2157 back and its an automated service and opted out, they have an option to have your phone number removed from their records!
Joann 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
This is Wells Fargo/Wachovia trying to sell a service that in the event that you overdraft your account, they cover the amount that you went over - for a fee. This service covers ATM and Debit charges.
The choice is either to add this service - for a fee, or have you card be automatically declined with no ability to overdraft.
This is in addition to the overdraft protection which links your current checking account to another account.

I just got a vcmail from these people saying that they needed my account info to prevent my credit cards from being declined!!!! WOW!!! DO NOT ANSWER OR TALK TO THESE PEOPLE!!!! I could hear lots of background noise, not professional.
Sara 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown

Calls are legit.
the number is the same for several different companies becauuse all of these companies are routing their calls from their call centres through the same carrier.
WF, Sykes (Formerly ICT), and others throughout the US and Canada route their call centres through this carrier to save money on call costs.
The calls are legit, but that doesn't mean you have to talk to them. Usually the information is pertinent to you and rarely a sales call.

They just called me on behalf of "Wachovia." I googled the number while the call was coming in and your posts were helpful. I'm going to call Wachovia now to report it. Thanks.

This company is a contact to let them know that telemarketers from ICT Group are using illegal contact practices. This company contacted me and said they were with D&B, which they were not.
I called 215-809-2157, 215-809-2155, 215-809-2158 and all require an extension number.
Contact this company if you wish to have a contact or file a complaint.

I got a call from 215-809-2157 and the guy on the phone said he was calling from Wells Fargo. My caller ID registered the call coming from a company called SYKES. He said he was calling about my bank account because he had a new service that could help me to avoid having my ATM/Debit Card declined. I immediately told the guy I had already closed my account with Wells Fargo and was not interested in the service. I don't know but I wasn't sure about the call coming from Wells Fargo because I had received calls from Wells Fargo before and my caller ID does registered the calls as Wells Fargo not SYKES. I sent an email to Well Fargo asking if they were using this company to promote their service or if they were giving their member's information to 3rd party companies. Hope the bank can tell me what is going on with this company.

They called our business and started asking questions about our merger. The lady who spoke with an accent said she was from Dunn & Bradstreet. Caller id said Sykes. They call all the time looking for different people and asking lots of questions. WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST!
Toni 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
Called my cell phone and hung up when I answered.
Jamma 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
Received a call from this number. The man asked for my husband, and said the call was regarding "important personal information". When I told him my husband had passed away, he hung up.
Patricia 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
Just received a call on my cell phone. The left a message. It is from Wachovia, telling you about the changes to your Debit Card...should you not have enough in your account.....and if you need more information call Wachovia.
Stacy 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
It is a 3rd party company calling about the DEBIT/ATM card stuff the other people have been talking about in previous posts. That is why it keeps coming up all different banks, Wells Fargo, Wachovia, ect. I just told them I would discuss it in person at my bank the next time I am there. I dont do stuff like that on the phone. You cant trust anyone nowadays!
patrice 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
some company called "SYKES" I added my number to the DO NOT CALL LIST...
spacecadet 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
Got a call from them, no voicemail. I'm a WF customer too, so I'm guessing that's what this is about.
Mom 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
It is ridiculous to allow thse calls to transpire
Kyle 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
LEGIT/Not selling something
They called me on behalf of Wells Fargo Bank, to see if I wanted to add an over draft protection thing to my bank account.
Lee 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
I got the same person - said from Wells Fargo - I do have a Wells Fargo account, but they were very vague.
Sam 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
It's non stop bombardment phishing for my personal account information. They are a fraud. They were lying about who they were!
I am bombarded by their non-stop calls despite I made it clear that they are not allowed to call me.
I need every bit of information on the employer, employees. I need their current residential information, their address and their full names. I need their operating center's exact location and the location of the residence of those people that work there.
Email me: osusam81@gmail.com
A huge financial reward!
Sam 2011-06-06 20:43:39 Unknown
These are not Wells Fargo, it's scam, individuals who are preying on your personal information! DO NOT GIVE THEM any information. They were phishing for information, and so forth, and I refused to give them any information. They became threatening and verbally hostile that they will close my bank accounts etc. They are not Wells Fargo!
If anyone has information of those individuals, where they operate, their center of operation. Their full names and where they reside. I want their residential address as well as where this company is located. A huge financial reward is offered about those individuals.
Please email me: osusam81@gmail.com
