I have a load of numbers that call me continuously. I finally have them all saved under one name and all the numbers on this list go directly to voicemail. They never leave a message so I take it as it was not important. If you have this option on your phone, I highly recommend doing this.
Just saying....I am tired of all the annoying phone calls. :)

I signed up at Bass Pro Shops for a sweepstakes give-away and someone from Branson, MO called me. The connection was so bad, and I was being asked to agree to things I couldn't even hear, that I said I was hanging up. The party said she would call back in the evening but never did. NEVER AGREE TO, OR SIGN ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE. YOU MUST SEE IT IN WRITING OR YOU COULD BE A VICTIM --- BIG TIME. I'm not yelling just make sure you can read it without your glasses. I used to teach communication law at two universities. The "seller" speaks so fast with so many options that you don't have time to digest it in your mind in order to make sense of it, then you are immediately asked which option you want. You want to see the "rules of the contest" as well as any other part of the "winnings." In person. And take it to your lawyer if you aren't sure. When the call is that "you won a contest" your brain feels like it's in shock - a big sign that you should never act on anything at that time. GET IT IN WRITING FIRST --- THEN GO OVER IT WITH ALL YOUR SENSES ALERT. Even if it is legitimate, wait a day or two before you respond. A real sweepstakes winning offer should be happy to let you do that. You be the one in charge.

You called it back?  Last time I checked, pressing any number will confirm that a person's number is working and available for a boiler room call anytime of the day or night. The sad boiler room dwellers are lower than dirt.

Why are you trying to trick people into calling scammers back to confirm their number? Are you part of this SCAM or just hopelessly stupid?

I called it back. It's a marketing company (Vacation Tour & Travel). They have the option for you to get off the call list. Just press #1 after you call them and leave your name and number.

I just received a call  from this number. Now looking through these posts, I remember filling out a form for vacations at Bass Pro Shop too. I remember asking the lady if my number would be sold to telemarketers and she said no. I will never again fill out anything for that  company again.

I have been receiving calls the past 3 days at 6 am.  Disconnect before I can answer.  When I call back I get a busy signal.  I am very annoyed by this.

I filled out a thing at Bass Pro too and I've been getting all kinds of random numbers calling me!!

Just call the number and it gives you the option to be added to their "do not call" registry.  Remains to be seen if it works.

Yeah I am beginning to really dislike shopping at chain stores here in the USA because of those annoying promo sales people, my wife and I was at a Bass Pro Shop in Destin Fl a while back just trying to do some shopping and was bombarded with reps from those timeshare raffle crap. Learned a long time ago there are no free rides and anytime it sounds to good to be true that is because it is.

I have been getting weekly calls from this number, stopped answering them ma while back. Calls keep coming however, very annoying.

I got a call from this number, for 5 second. It happened so fast that when the other side hung up the phone, I haven't recognize what's happening.

Made the mistake of filling out an entry form at Bass Pro Shop for a free vacation- then got roped into a spiel about a timeshare. Not free, but really cheap. (With the acknowledgement that on our first day we would have to sit through a 3 hour tour or the timeshare and let them try to sell us one. No thanks.)   This number is from these people calling to verify information and probably trying to complete another sales pitch.

Who is this?  A company maybe?

The number is in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Really getting tired of these. they come at the most inconvenient times. I don't answer numbers I don't know.

Yes there is a way to stop them.  Get Google Voice.  Google assigns a telephone number to you that routes to your home and/or cell.  Give the number out instead of your home phone or cell number.  If you get a unwanted solicitation call it will list it on your computer's Google Voice page and then you select "Block": and after that the caller from that number will receive a message that your number is disconnected.  I've used it for 3 years and I love it.

I get these type calls on a daily basis even though I am on the "do not call" registry.  I have gotten calls from this number in the past.  I have reported them to the FCC, which I will do ONCE MORE.  I never answer calls from numbers I'm not familiar with.  I have to leave my iphone on silent all day long because I can't block numbers.  Is there not ANY way to stop this harassment?

I received a call earlier tonight, was unable to answer call in time, but no message was left.  ID came up as "Vac Tour Travel".

I received a call from this number but I didn't pick up.

Received call from 215-809-2378 on 7/25/12 around 1:00 pm.  The call was made to my cell phone which is not listed.  I answered and there was silence at the other end, then it was disconnected.  Probably a telemarketer.
