Live fundraising solicitation call (215) 874-0143 recorded 27 March 2014 ("Neeameyer Thuggs of Community Service Publishers" fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Association of America)
Caller ID: "Bristol PA"

Note: called December 18, 2013 (215) 240-7263 | (215) 874-0143

Another live donation solicitation call from "Community Service Publishers on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America" using one of their many "avoid-consumer-blocking" phone numbers. I never contributed to them in the past and I wouldn't support this charity since the caller introduced himself as calling from "...the Community Service Publishers on behalf of..." Calling "on behalf of" means most of any donation would go to the fund raiser, not the charity.

Following is a transcript of this fundraising solicitation call:

[me] Hello?

We just wanted to thank, let, thank you because of your thoughtful support. The association is celebrating over 40 years of providing programs and services for the families of victims of MS free of charge. Now that includes equipment like wheelchairs, walkers, benches, emotional support, basically anything these people need to make their lives more comfortable. Now if you have MS or know someone who does, just call one 800 LEARN MS to [unintelligible]. Now there are several levels of support uh to give every opp- everybody the opportunity to give. We have our "Conquer of the Crippler" at $50, our most prestigious. Um, then there's the "Gift of Hope" at thirty five and then "Inspire the Future" at twenty five. Um, now, uh, just so you know, almost 200 people diagnosed each year each week with this disease uh, and we still need your continued support to make a difference in the lives of these people with MS so, have you had an amazing year and can go for the "Conqurer of the Crippler" or will one of the lower levels be best for you?

Live fundraising solicitation call (215) 874-0143 recorded 18 December 2013 ("Whitney Tauber paid by Community Service Publishers" for fundraising for Multiple Sclerosis Association of America)
Caller ID: "Bristol PA"

This was a live donation solicitation call on behalf of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America. I never contributed to them in the past and I immediately decided that I wouldn't support this charity since the caller introduced herself as being "...paid by the Community Service Publishers to call throughout the state of Little Rock Arkansas..." which means most of any donation would go to the fund raiser, not the charity. And she's not calling Little Rock, Arkansas, she's calling Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Following is a transcript of this fundraising solicitation call:

[me] Hello?
[they] Hello?
[me] Hello?
[they] Yes, um, this is Whitney Tauber and I'm paid by the Community Service Publishers to call throughout the state of Little Rock Arkansas for your support on behalf of Multiple Sclerosis Association of the America. We wanted to let you know that because of your active support the association is celebrating almost 40 years of providing for programs and services for the families of victims of MS free of charge. Equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, shower benches and emotional support, basically anything these people need to make their lives more comfortable. You may not be aware of this but this disease often strikes with no warning and there is still no known cause or cure. So the Association is there to hep individuals with MS to live more productible and independent lives. It seems that we may take for granted like providing for our families or caring for the children with MS who may not be able to do without assistance. MSAA want us to be the first resource for people with MS so if you know anyone with MS or have it yourself, please call one 800 532-7667 to find out if MSAA can hep you. Like always, there are several support levels to give everybody the opportunity to help. We start with the "Conquerer of the Crippler" with $50. The "Gift of Hope" is $35 and the "Fight for the Future" is twenty five. With this please keep in mind, there are over 200 people diagnosed each week with this disease and the Association needs your continued support to make a difference in the quality of lives of those with MS so I'd like to ask, have you had any exceptional year to step up with the "Conqurer of the Crippler" or would you like to give the "Gift of Hope" which would be the best for you? Hello?
