It's a scam.  Their caller stated that the information on the wellness card was incomplete.  We got this call once before and talked to the Rite Aid manager in this area.  She also stated that they do not call anyone.  We do have a Wellness card so someone (a scammer) is getting information somewhere and using it in their little scheme.  Wonder what happened to the Do not Call people who are supposed to be on top of this?  This was the fourth scam call today!

Remember: It is not only on Halloween that the gremlins, ghosties, ghoulies, long leggity beasties, and things that go "bump" in the night are on the prowl through every kind of telephone communications. They are on the prowl 24/7. In the sense of the classic horror movies, there will be no easy way to exorcise them, as you have seen church people do in those movies. What keeps them going is that they are making money.

Your best defense is to educate yourself, your family, and others about this pestilence. 800notes is an excellent place to start. Good luck.

Caller ID was Rite Aid and they wanted to verify my personal info because they lost the data for the discount cards. He said they are trying to recreate their database. I did not verify or give him any information, although he did have my name. I called Rite Aid's 800 number and the lady did not know anything about the data being lost. She said they do call customers but from an 866 number.
