Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

We receive calls from this number every day. They will call morning, noon, and night. Disturbing!

This is a call center number

Calls every day on my new cell phone number. Just recently added this number, so I am not sure how the telemarketing company even knows of the number (I haven't given it out to anyone except family members).

Lots of calls from them, shows up as unknown caller. I've stopped going to the Philly Orchestra, there are many other reasonably priced alternatives that don't shake you down for more money.

Philadelphia Orchestra. been calling me for months at the same time everyday (i am at work like a normal person). was finally able to pick up and it felt like a shakedown. had to say 'no' 4 separate times to giving money, which started at $100 a month to 'anything you can spare, can i put you down for $25?" it's a shame because if i have to put up with this each time i will no longer be buying tickets.
bill 2013-03-26 14:47:47 Unknown
that's all fine-- every time i purchase tickets, i buy the best seats- i get these calls and politely listen and then they ask for $2000???????---- give me a break---they think i am a fat cat but i just like to get the best sound

I subscribe to the Philadelphia Orchestra, and I receive phone calls from them asking for support ($$). If you don't want to receive calls from this number, you can block it. You are only hurting yourself if you refuse to go to their concerts just because of this. The orchestras of the US are hurting right now and need your support. And, the Philadelphia Orchestra is no longer in bankruptcy!

It's a third party telemarketing company on contract from the Philly Orchestra. The supervisor's name is Reggie Howard. They apparently were calling from the Academy House. Ask for him by name. Tell him Peter says "hi."

I called them and asked them to take me off and they were very nice about it.

JB 2011-12-07 14:52:51 Unknown
5 calls per week on my cell number. I have a do not call on this and if this is the Phila Orchestra shame on them they should be reported.

I believe it's from the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts. I've gotten several calls from them, too, on my work phone. And they're always after hours (6 p.m.).
I bought tickets for one event 8 months ago, and now I'm sure I'm on their end-of-year fundraising list.
Alfie 2011-06-06 20:43:40 Unknown
It's the box office at the Kimmel Center, often an automated marketing message. I've asked them repeatedly to stop calling, but every time I buy a ticket, the calls start again. Unbelievable.
Mariana 2011-06-06 20:43:40 Unknown
Yes, It's Philadelphia Orchestra. I called back and the guy said that is telemarketing and we should just ignored it.
TS 2011-06-06 20:43:40 Unknown
Well, I won't go to any Kimmel Center events ever again. That's a shame for them and for me, but they call so frequently (every day, every other day), never leave a message, and recently one of their calls woke me up when I was very sick and desperately trying to rest. They apparently aren't aware of a new communication device called email and email marketing to alert interested consumers of what's going on at Kimmel. To say 'ignore it' is completely inappropriate --- it is very annoying and the wrong way to treat customers. But I'm glad I found out through this thread who it was, I was about to buy tickets to various events as holiday presents for family and now I know to go elsewhere to spend my money. Shame on you, Kimmel, what should be a respected arts organization of the highest sophistication, but dragging us back into the 1990's with your extremely annoying telemarketing.
George 2011-06-06 20:43:40 Unknown
It is the now bankrupt Philadelphia Orchestra.
Henry 2011-06-06 20:43:40 Unknown
I got calls from this number every day. Caller ID doesn't show who owns this numbers. A web search shows it's from Philadelphia, and a business number carried by Verizon. Anyone knows who own this?
george 2011-05-03 20:15:18 Unknown
apparently it is the Philadelphia Orchestra

I had this same issue with Kimmel. And it's the first telemarketer that has gotten through to me in ages.
Here's what I have been doing to stop telemarketers. Get yourself a Google Voice (http://www.google.com/voice) account and phone number - it's free. Set up Google Voice to redirect all calls inbound to that new number to your mobile and/or home phones. Make sure you have the feature enabled that requires the caller to announce who they are. Use this number for anything public - tickets, online subscriptions, etc. I use it for everything except friends and family. Then, when someone calls, your phone shows their number and when you answer a message tells you who is calling. If they hang up on the announcement, go into Google Voice, find the recent call, and under "More" select "Block Caller". Voila! No more telemarketing calls!
Obviously this doesn't help your issue now, but between this and getting yourself on the National Do-Not-Call list, you can stop getting unwanted calls in the future.
It's a shame... I love going to the Kimmel. The arts are in serious needs of funding, but this is not the way to handle it.

I get calls from this number every day or every other day, over an extended period of time. Extremely annoying. I've left them messages asking them to identify themselves then stop calling but nothing yet.
SG 2008-11-26 22:24:19 Unknown
Yes, every day for a week...just says "Out of area", no message is ever left.
