They keep calling me too. I do have a capital one card and I will close the account if they continue to call me. I will also fill out whatever no-call form they need. what a bunch of a**holes

Hi Lori ths is Lori also again- Have you ever asked what their exciting offer is? ha ha... But you are right I get everyone of those same area codes- Capital One use to be actually one that had the better customer service- have you checked your credit to see if anyone else opened one in your name or put you as an authorized user. That happened to me before and my SSN was not ever on the account- it was Chevron- when I saw my credit report it was reported as super super delinquent- I never authorized my ex to even associate my name on the account.
Checking your credit report can sometimes be scary- but each time I have there has been wrong information and I was able to rectify it,
Sorry- I have been in every sorta fraud scam, credit cards having someone making payments on them then charging right away and when I've gone online to make my regular payment found that mess and the returned payment that was used but the charges had gone through. Explain that to a poor soul answering phones somewhere in another country- they transferred me all over and nobody knew what to do? Incredible the scams going on regarding fraud- bank employees selling account info to their friends. sorry way off Capital One but maybe this extra info will help others know that every secod there is someone plotting how to steal and they are getting more creative. Sad sad world- people are desperate. :(

It is very interesting how many creditors are choosing to believe that if they call from different area codes instead of an 800,866, or 888 # that you will answer the call- I don't answer private, unknown, or numbers I do not recognize.

I get the same call that another person commented on- saying Hi I'm Linda "I may have some new opportunities  for you." If you call back you sure can't talk to any Linda- and the customer service representative has no idea (so they say) what that call is about. But the robotic Linda says she is from Capital One...
To me that's false advertisement-  and obviously a scam..
Even more exciting is when you call Capital One- I'm sorry but- if you have any questions that are anything other than what is on their script- they will continue to say- Mam so I would you like to make your payment we can do that right now- I say "I  didn't ask that" she repeats with the same answer- She seriously had me question her- I asked " are you a live person- or a robot?" I wasn't meaning any disrespect- but- the fact every time she ran down the same skit- the same exact tone, speed of the voice was the same. I had to hang up. Who has all day to attempt to get clarification or answers tobasic questions- it's super frustrtating. The out sourcing that companies are choosing because of low cost of labor- is reason to shut all credit cards down. Very frustrated - can you tell?

My friend's son was killed last month, she asked me to contact all her credit cards and make payment arrangements since her only help died and she needs time to get back on her feet and to function emotionally she is devastated.
Nevertheless I made payments arrangements until Dec 2010 online, lower payment and lower interest rate this STUPIT COMPUTER FROM CAPITAL ONE. keeps calling day and night.
The problem is that they don't have a fax machine where you could send a letter to tell them to stop calling immediately and they have to honor your request.
If someone has a  fax number please post it.

Yep, Capital One , at first I told my wife I was tired of getting these calls and for her to get her act together and call these people back. Here is a list of numbers that have been calling all day long today,215-977-7223, 877-847-0125, 832-260-0416, 800-395-2274, 866-635-4318, 800-657-1377, 206-445-6934 (Liborgdot com), Now I do not even want my wife involved.
      I am no longer upset after seeing how these people have been harassing others all over the country, my question is, why are we letting this happen. I have had a total of 15 calls so far and the day is not over. From what I understand, it is illigal for bill collectors to call any one on the job, why is this being allowed?. If anyone has any good info on who to contact please let me know. Do not bother me with the "Do Not Call Registry" it does nothing with bill collection or 800 numbers and please no spam, I would like some real solid feed back.Do not send advertising, it will be deleated on sight.

It's LINDA! Robo-Linda, calling this time from Pennsylvania! (Yesterday I was in Maryland) Just reminding you yet again, several times a day, that there MAY BE opportunities for you with Capital One. Like, f'rinstance, how about paying your past due bill? Enjoying our new, higher interest rates? Well, I'll call back tomorrow! (and the next day, and the next, etc etc)

So this number just called and I caught the last 3 digits of call back number since their automated dialer called me.  Nice, I made my greeting long enough so that auto messages won't record :)

I get calls from this number all day long! They sometimes leave a message saying, "This is Linda from Capital One. We have exciting offers for you! Please call today." I also get calls from other numbers such as:
(866) 929-5306; (757) 483-4840; (800) 955-6600 (215) 977-7223. This is VERY annoying considering I don't have any Capital One credit cards or accounts and I never will!! They keep saying they will remove my number and they don't and they refuse to let me talk to a manager.

Called me at 6:00am this morning.  I'm pretty sure it's illegal, GRR.

Calls my continuously throughout the day, even though I have no credit cards through Capital One. The few times a message is left it's an automated messaged from a woman saying they want to talk to me about some incredible opportunities. Have tried to remove my number from their call list but so far nothing I have done has helped.

I'm posting this message on all the who-called lists to warn people that even if they don't owe money and request the CC to stop, it will do no good.We aren't late with any payments but "Debbie" from Capital One wants to make us aware of New Opportunities. We were getting calls up up to a dozen a day, pick up, no one on the line. Finally, I just got fed up and yelled at someone to speak to me, which he finally did but he refused to talk to me, it had to be directly to my husband then That Voice started yelling at me so I hung up.

The next day after the third or fourth call my husband, who works nights and sleeps in got a call from "Debbie" who said that without a written form letter signed by him from CapOne, they would continue to call us even though we requested they stop. So until we get the form, fill it out and send it in, they will keep calling and calling and calling. It's all up to them at this point since they might only send out the form, say once a month.

I'd cancel the card but the way things are, they might just buy up the next three cards I might get and be back in the phone cycle again. So while I've been ill with some pretty serious medical conditions and waiting for doctors to call me with results and keeping my family apprised of my condition, or just getting rest, I have to screen every single call all day.

This number keeps calling our home at all hours of the day.

If you don't want calls, whether or not you have a relationship with a bank, just tell the caller they have a wrong number and calling you again would constitue Harrassment.... Easy...
