A male voise asked for my son (who was not at home at the moment). I offered to take a message, but the caller just hung up.

Disconnected now....

Just got two calls from this number about five minutes apart. Both hangups.

Calling several times/day until I blocked them (and, I had to block other friends to boot!) no message, just a hang up.  I finally used vonage to place a block.

In CO, on the no call list, I have a legal right to sue them.. BEWARE

got call fron 216-241-5550.......Said they were calling for O.K. MAGAZINE
  to  renew subscription.......I said NO!!!!  And they said o.k. and hung up......

these people keep calling myhome phone so i am going to start sending them letters with postage DUE after about a thousandof them maybe theywill get the hint to GO THE FRIGG AWAY

Why would they call on a Sunday?

I received calls from them for over 2 years, a lot of time they don't answer. A gal got real smart with me the last time, she was calling for someone else that doesn't live here. At that time I was told it was a collection agency. Several calls a day for 2-3 days then maybe a week or a week and a half goes by and it starts all over again. I called the # right back and the operator said it was disconnected. The phone with this # just makes outgoing calls you can't call back on it.

I have been getting calls from this number 216-241-5550 and don't answer the call. A few minutes ago I tried to call that number and got a recording stating that the number has either been disconnected or is no longer in service. How does that work? The number can call out but can't be called back?  Any answers.

Asked for me by name and I asked who's calling?  He said his name and that he was calling about Soap Opera Digest.  Told him I don't get it and to take my name and number off the list.  But of course, they hang up before you are finished telling them.  I'm keeping a list of phone calls who's number I don't recognize and any "unknown" calls, I'm not answering them.  If it is anyone important, they will call back!

I answered a call from this number by saying "Hello?"  After several seconds, a recorded message said, "This is a courtesy call, sorry you're not home.  We will try again later."

Lady asked for a member of my family and i said they werent here so she said "thank you" and hung up

It keeps showing up but they don't leave any message. I don't answer numbers if I don't know who they are

AS with others I get called multiple times and I answer it and nothing on the other end like a prank call. They hang up without a word.  I tried to block it but ATT doesn't do it now.

I'm up in Alberta, Canada and they've called me numerous times as well.
However, I've never answered because they always call while I'm at school. And when there is a voicemail, it's nothing.

just called and asked for my wife.. I asked who's calling, and she hung up.

Received a call from this number today (10/06/09) at about 5 p.m. I let it ring a few times before I decided to answer it, after I said "Hello" they hung up!
Weird! I think if they call again, based on the information here I will tell them not to call again!

I answered the phone - said "hello"  No response. I called the number back & got a recording saying that the number had been disconnected. Interesting

They JUST Called... once at 5PM (which they did EXACTLY a week ago at this time, as well), I answered after the 2nd ring.. said "HELLO?" and then they hung up.
They called AGAIN at 5:15 (15 mins. later) and after I said "HELLO", there was a BEEP, and a woman asking for Mr. Parmer? There is no Mr. Parmer here, so I said "I'm sorry you have the wrong number" and continued to say "Please remove me from.." before she hung up! I tried to call back (even though it's def. long distance! I'm in texas) and it said the number was disconnected!
What a mess!!

Caller said she wanted to check I was still getting the US magazine regularly. I said I was and because I have gotten these calls before, I started to explain the same thing I always say. That I prefer to go through the Special Olympics program because any magazine subscriptions I get helps the charity. Before I could finish  the b**ch hung up on me. I have no problem with receiving solicitation calls. I am always very polite but DO NOT CALL ME IN MY OWN HOME AND CUT ME OFF DURING A SENTENCE -----RUDE RUDE RUDE.... As usual...I tried to call back....'the number you have called is not in service............'

I received this call this afternoon on my Cell Phone. It was for some magazines. I don't get magazines. I don't put my cell number on anything and wonder how they got it. I am reporting a complaint to the National and State Do Not Call agencies, since all my phone numbers are on those lists.

These idiiots call my home severeal times per day every day, they inevitably wake up my infant when he is sleeping every time!! I have reported them to the DO Not Call registry before, and just did it again today. I have no intention of answering the calls, especially since they don't have any info- only "Out of Area"- I don't do business over the phone like that- plaina nd simple!

These people are calling from US Weekly magazine.  Not sure how they got my phone number but they continue to call looking for my 14 year old.  I have a do not call number and will report them there as well.

i have been getting calls from them and when i try to call them back i can't.  I finally answered it today and they said we have received noticed from blah blah blah that you have been paying your bills on time.  We want to send you three free issues of these magaizines for free up to three years... and kept going and as soon as she said it would only cost a flat rate of blah blah for shipping costs i sighed and said im not interested... click she was gone.  SCAM do not answer.

I think this is some kind of scam.  I've tried calling it back many times, and then it says it is a non-working number in our area code of 702.  Something is strange here.
