Automated message from American Express.  First a woman's voice stating it if urgent that I call AE about an important business matter.  Next a man's voice who brings visions of a huge latino man TELLING me to call AE by the end of today about an Urgent Business Matter!

Call was first by a woman then later a man. Saying they called from American Express. 216-333-5328

THIS SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM.  This number is in a Cleveland, OH.  This was featured recently on MSNBC this morning in addition to other news that people can call a certain number that will change their caller id to make it look like they are calling from a bank.  Whatever you do, DO NOT give your information (name, SSN, account #s) to anyone calling you and rquesting them.  Banks and credit card companies, in general, do not call you.

Total scam.  Some British guy calls and leaves a message on my machine saying to call American Express by the end of the business day regarding an urgent matter.  And, oh, yeah, he tells you to make sure you have your account number in front of you when you call.  I knew it was some sort of scam, but I called AE to verify just in case.  And best yet, the caller id says it's a cellular phone.  Pure amateurs!  Could these people go out and get a real job instead of trying to steal from others??????

Enter a fake acct # so you can get someone on the phone and then ream them out for being a scam, I just did that.

Fake American Express Scam!!!    Do NOT even give these people your name - if you have an actual American Express account, hang up, contact the REAL American Express, ask for their fraud department and give them this number, get Amex to hunt down this Voice over IP number - yes, VoIP can be traced, actually more easily then a regular hardwire telephone line, so give the info to Amex immediately and get them to get the FBI on the trail of these filthy scam artists and lets hear about their arrests on the evening news - spread this warning to every friend and family member you know, do not let these SOB's even scam a single person!

3 phone calls in one day( @ 9am, @ noon and @ 3pm) from this # but no voicemails... why are they calling my cell phone?  It says its an ohio #.  I'm glad I found this site before returning the call.  Amex has my home number and they're not calling my house... it has to be a scam.
