Same BS as the poster above (No name) described.
"Kris or "Chris" (female) called on Feb 3, 2011 and said:
Hi, this is Kris I'm calling for ---- --- about his account. Please return my call at 216-831-7982."
THANK YOU for the warning, No name! BOA (Bend Over America) screwed us YEARS ago. We had hundreds of dollars of bonus points racked up and they 'disappeared' one day. BOA told us to pound salt. They harassed us for years. The statute of limitations to collect expired 10 yrs ago.
We stopped answering our phone YEARS AGO. We learned that if you answer or respond to bill collectors in ANY WAY, they can reopen your case. Sometimes they try to do it anyway. So DON'T DO THIS! Keep ignoring them until you are POSITIVE the statute of limitations to pursue debt have clearly passed.
They (BOA) got kicked in the nuts for trying to charge $5.00 a month for debit fees. THAT didn't work and made people even angrier! So it looks like they are using a new 'method' to reopen closed accounts in order to buck up their failing bottom line now that they were caught with their pants down with their subprime banking activities and derivatives.
If your unlucky enough to be doing business with this bank, GET OUT. Go to a credit union or a LOCAL bank.
Hurt them where it counts.

Screw Kris. If she doesn't want to say the name of the company then we will NEVER pick up or call her back. Googled this number and other folks said it is Bank of America.
Tip: Don't reward Ma Bell for selling your phone info to strangers and then trying to get YOU to have to pay to find out who they sold you out to. Skip buying caller I.D. or Privacy manager. Get a cheap answering machine and screen your calls. Make sure the outgoing message is a generic one so they can't tell if you are a male, female or whatever!
The policy in our home is to let the machine answer the phone and wait until the caller starts speaking. If they won't talk then we probably don't want to speak to them anyway. Works great for weeding out nuisance calls, etc. Tell your family and friends this. Ours all know to talk or they get nothing.
