These morons call 3+ times daily..the one time I picked up I got a machine stating that they were a law firm. Don't think so. Just giving everyone a heads up on what they are saying.
FTR 2011-06-06 20:43:44 Unknown
They would not give me a reason for their call...don't give them any infomations
CAB 2011-06-06 20:43:44 Unknown
I am also being harrassed by employees from this number and I will be contacting the FCC today!

I work for the government, so I am suspicious of everything. Don't be naive enough to give personal information to the person on the other end if you are lucky enough to have them pick up -- that may be what they are looking for. Tell everybody that you know about this. Go to your media outlets, radio stations, TV to get media attention and apply pressure to get them to stop. It could be anything from harvesting technique to get information for marketing to a petty crime ring calling to see if you are home before breaking in (ugly world, isn't it...?) Not sure where everyone on this forum lives -- if this is all over the U.S. or in one geographic area, land lines or cell phones, so it's hard to say what they are up to. Heck, they could be mining IP addresses from people using this forum...who knows? Also, don't be dumb enough to type on this forum and then look up your cell number from this same web site on the left side of the page, or you are putting your IP address and cell/home phone number in the same place. If you have caller ID and recognize the 216-896 prefix, simply DON'T PICK UP. With virtual phone numbers, the call may not even be from the 216 area code (in Ohio). Not sure who it is, but I'm pretty sure this is not my people. 8-)

This number called but nobody said anything when I answered. I'm not thrilled to find out they have a habit of doing this repeatedly.
Michelle 2011-06-06 20:43:44 Unknown
Called and hung up as soon as I answered.

I get at least one to two calls a day from this number, but I always miss the call. I try to call back and I just get a message saying the mailbox is full. I got through one day and a lady told me that she did not have me on file. She asked for my SS#, full name, and phone number. She was NO help. I am still getting calls. I tried to contact them(CCR) through their web page, but it said there was an error when I hit the submit button.

WHoever is calling from this number must be unaware that when they call they are calling a business.
is 2011-06-06 20:43:44 Unknown
I called the company (CCR) and asked about the calls (I've had two in about 2 weeks from that same number) I asked them why they are calling me and they say they don't have my number on file. maybe someone hasn't learned to dial the phone yet...
KAP 2011-06-06 20:43:44 Unknown
I just called an 800 number that I also found from googling this number. A nice lady answered and said it was collections. I told her I keep seeing the number on my id but with never any message. She asked me for the company, I said I had no idea because there was never a message. She took my number and looked it up and found nothing. She said she was going to forward the number to her IT Dept. If they found something they'd let me know if not, my number would be erased from their database and the calls would stop.

I know who these clowns are, their name is CCR Inc. and they are some sort of ignorant and incompetent collection agencies. No many how many times you call the 800 number and talk with some $3.00 an hour clown who can never seem to get anything resolved. Wish I knew someone home number from their executive board. If I had that I could schedule a dialer to call 100 or so times a day. Even a fax number would help.

Whoever called hung up as soon as I answered. I tried calling back, but just got a voice mail that did not identify who had called. There is no reason for any collection agency to be calling me.

No message from this number.
I also got a call from 800-741-9922 the same day. Some women with a bad British accent left a message and said to please call.
I used to get a call from an unknown number almost everyday. Now that stopped and this crap starts.
Stupid Junk Callers. Gotta love the do not call list.

I keep getting a call from this company (CCR) and it is a collection company. They have my number but someone else's name who lives in a different state. This company is not on the up and up in terms of their actions. What action can I take to stop the calls? Anyone know?
