Call received from 202-607-7222...Call back number 202-470-2437

I received several calls from the first number listed above. The people calling sound like they are from India or the middle east and claim that they want to give me government grant money ($10,200) and are requesting my bank account or some type of pay card information. I am concerned that they are trying to steal my identity also. I gave them a made up card number to hear the scam in its entirety. They provide a comfirmation number and a call back number to confirm receipt of the funds. When you call back they ask for a $200 transfer transaction fee that will be donated to the American Red Cross. This is a SCAM!!!

Been ringing my phone off the hook for 2 days now.  I will not answer a number I don't know and if they don't leave a message, then I really don't worry about it.  But this constant ringing from the time I wake up till on up to 10:00 pm (sometimes later) drives me crazy.  Wish I knew where they were cause I would just show up there for awhile and bug the stew out of them.....but then everything stops for a couple days...nice peaceful days....and the calls start coming in from another number.  And, as with some of you out there, call the numbers back and they are not working numbers....then five minutes later here comes another call from the number that does not work....I don't know how they are doing all this but I don't guess it is costing them one red cent to try to get some money out of some of us...

called me once asked and asked if they could speak with andrew and said that im speaking then they hung up >:/ called back and said can not be completed as dailed... wtf?!!! this is clearly telemarketing calling or a scam will be blcoking this number :D glad my phone can do that bye bye no more calling me hehe

The caller said I had been randomly selected to be offered $10,200 free grant money with no pay back and no tax due. My wife joined the call and the caller explained to her the offer. Wife asked how can the government make such an offer when they tax us for money. Caller hung up.

Similar to all of these accounts, I received a call early this morning which I accidentally  picked up sleepily, I was immediately hung up upon.  I then received several more which were all ignored. I finally picked up and was met with a heavy Indian accented woman and was told that I had a "Once in a lifetime, one time grant" in the amount of $10,200 waiting for me, and that I must collect it at once.  She said that I was receiving this because of a survey that I took a few weeks ago.

I asked if I could be emailed or mailed any additional information, to which she replied "No, you can no receive check for money in mail, I need your bank account information or a credit card to put money on."

I told her call me back in 10 minutes, then my phone battery died, no idea if she called again.

these people need to stop calling me on my phone everyday because i am not going to answer it. they love to call on these lifeline phone for some reason.

I received a call from this number stating that I have been selected to receive $10,200.00 government grant money because I paid my taxes each year.   All I had to do was give them my bank account information (routing and account number).  I did not give the information a hung up.  Was this a bogus call?

They sure are working hard at this number.  Called me and did not like the suggestion that they just send a check.

They called me to and said I would have to pay $152.00 before the money could be released and that they couldn't give me their employee Id number because someone could scam them. Everytime you call the number back it says its busy at this moment.

This number called me twice yesterday afternoon (02/22/13) and once this morning. After ignoring the last two calls I finally picked it up just to see who it was. The woman that answered said in a heavily foreign voice that she was with the "US Government". I immediately informed her that I was on the US Do Not Call list and she tried to tell me that she "had the right to call me as many times as she wanted to". I said "no you do not" and she said "yes I am". I finally tried to ask her what company she was with, and that's when she hung up on me.

I got a call from this number too saying i was selected for  a 10,200$ grant from US Gov and asking my bank details and couldnt answer whose name it was grant on and hang up. seems like a Chinese guy.

I read the other post. Same story about the grant money, call back number, and voice.  He ask did I want to know how I was selected and I said No!!!  Just how much was it going to cost me?  I was told Fu-K You and he hung up.

I also got a call saying they had 10,200.00 in grant money for me from the US Government, all I had to do was provide my bank account information, or a debit card or credit card number. Yeah right! I told thme send a check, the US G loves sending people checks, was told it had to be electronic deposit. When I asked what branch of the US Gov't was giving this grant there was a pause, and then they said the grant branch. whtaever. told them to keep their money. This is undoubtedly a scam.

I have been getting calls from this number and no one says anything and hang up. I don't know who it is, but they are calling every 30 minutes. I am getting very annoyed with each phone call.

Have been calling several times everyday for a few weeks. Claimed my name and number had been selected for a government grant and hung up when I asked them which name that would be.

We received a phone call from U.S, Government -218-319-7254  - saying that the Government wanted to give us $10,200 after questioning  several times about what was involved the caller finally hung-up.

I have so many calls from this number I could wall paper my house with then. Same thang want to deposit a large grant to my checking account. I told them I was not interested and to get back on their camel and ride away.

I received a call from this number, telling me about random selection of grant money. I told them it was very nice but I would not agree to anything until they sent me the paperwork. After repeatedly telling them this they told me to perform certain sexual acts and hung up. I was laughing so hard, it hurt.

Just received a call from this number in regards to a 10k government grant. Man said he was calling from Washington D.C. with a Minnesota area code. Informed them that I work for the U.S. Government and they were being recorded. Immediately hung up.

I keep getting calls from this number too, about 15 a day! They claim to have grany money and want my banking info to deposit funds. If you try the call the number back it says the call can not be completed as dialed. I have decided when they call me from now on I am going to answer my phone by blowing a whistle into it!!!!

I have recieved multiple calls from this number with a "Debbie Smith" althought she has a thick Indian accent and could not answer any of my questions. They claim to have 10k of grant money for me then demanded my bank info to deposit the money to.

keep getting calls from this number,, driving me crazy, this seems to be happening more and more, who is behind this.

I keep getting calls from this guy with a very strong Indian accent saying he obtained my social security number and will be contacting my employer!!! I'm like whoooooooooa buddy! Beware!! You can't understand what the hell this man is saying and ends the call with May God bless!!!!
