Received a text message from "messages@aol.com" saying it was from Bank of the West and that I should call this number.

I received a text from 3861 (Messages@aol.com/Bankof the West) to call 800-503-5407related to my Bank of West credit card (which I don't have). When I called it said my account has been suspended or my credit available has been severly reduced due to some overactivity.
It then said I could reinstate my charge priveliges by pressing a key on the phone. Since I don't have a Bank of the West card I didn't press any key. After a bit it asked me to key in my 16 digit credit card number. I couldn't do that either and assumed an operator would come on but after asking for the credit card number about 20 times (about 10 minutes) it just disconnected.

called the number... they are trying to steal your bank account number.

got the same message, says from bank of the west..... but they are not in illinois.

Bank of the West claims they don't text customers as well.

not sure what the scam is here.

Received two texts from '3783' and '3764'.  I don't have any relationship with Bank of the West.  Two different e-mail addresses - messages@botwinfo.com and messages@aol.com.
