If you have a VOIP provider that gives you options to block their calls, use the "busy signal" option. Their phone equipment is designed to call you over and over when they receive a busy signal and this will waste their time. Using this & other options such as "disconnected" or forwarded to a recording will not stop them from later calling from another phone number but at least you can waste their time a bit

Hey, I file the number in my contacts as "spam" or "do***e bag" and then just answer the call and set the phone down. Calls decreased significantly within a couple days and now I rarely get calls anymore at all. Once in a while (one a week) I get one from a new number. I just do the same thing (add to the contact and then answer and set the phone down wihtout saying anything) and they don't call again.

Canadian Pharmacy selling drugs. They call at least twice a day even though I have requested they stop calling. It falls on deaf ears. I am listed on the Federal DO NOT CALL list which I feel is completely useless.

These people use spoofed phone numbers and change them all the time. I have over 300 last year alone. Flood their web site, they have many, with complaints. They are not in Canada. Also the FTC is trying to eleminate all thses robo calls. Also, see article in comsumer reports about Rachel from Credt Card Services, another iritant. Here are some to the "pharmacy's" web sites, www.1000rx.com, www.genericall.com, www.easy-perscriptions.com, www.trustedcaremeds.com. Probably many others. If we tie up their phones and overload their servers, it might help. If anyone finds out where they are, let me know and I will go there and pull ther phone lines out of the wall.

I receive a call at least once a day. How do you get it to stop? Who is it and why do they hang up?

This number keeps calling my cell phone but an app called NumberCop blocks it. Just this week alone this number has called my cell phone 4 times and each time NumberCop blocked it before I could even attempt to answer the call. It's a free app so I am quite happy that it appears to be working.

I have a Doro phone that does not have a ringer ID feature, but it does allow me to divert calls from my cell number to my land line that has caller ID. So I got a phone with ringer a ringer id and set the ringer to "silent" for calls from 221-623-8271. That number's phone id ID "Some A##hole on my phone. I do this for all the telemarketer numbers but use different derogatory ID tags for them. I now get personal satisfaction when my phone display lights up but there is no ring--just a display that reads "Some A##hole, or Nickname for "Richard" with the last name Head--etc. I can also block all calls that have suppressed caller ID. You can have fun doing this!

I mess with them now. If it's a female i might start asking them what color underwear she has on. If she stays on after that I really start getting vulgar.
If it's a male voice I usually will ask them if they want to buy any viagra, or if the need a p e n i s pump or something like that

Yeah, my Android ICS phone has call filtering and numerous call-blocking apps.
You can set your phone to only accept calls from those in your Contacts list/Address book as well.
You can block unknown numbers as well as the 900-000-0000 numbers and other type of hidden phone numbers.
One call from someone I don't know or want to know, and they get put on the block list. You can even customize a voice message for blocked callers, such as "This phone number does not accept unauthorized calls. Please remove this phone number from your call list" or any message you want.
You can even assign different messages to different numbers.
It also works for SMS

Do what I do....tell them you want to speak with them but could they hold on for 2 minutes....put the phone down and walk away for 20 minutes. After two times they stop calling.

To Everyone who has read this because of this company: So, it's Canadian Pharmacy? They obviously are very rude people with nothing better to do with their lives, and to those who they call most everyday (myself included), answer your phone. Yes. Just answer. Pick it up or hit accept on your phone.
And answer, "Canadian Pharmacy, how may I help you?"

I'm going to start placing extremely large orders extremely slowly When it comes time to give them my credit card number, I will ask them to hold while I find it, and just put the phone down until they hang up out of frustration. When/if they call back to get the card number, I'll tell them that I neef to change the orderand ask them to list all of their erectile dysfunction med options, doses and quantities. Then ask them to repeat them all because I missed a couple. Then very slowly place another large order and again... ask them to hold while I get my credit card. I'll put the phone down again until they hang up. Rinse and repeat as needed.
Luckily I have time to do this.

If you have call forwarding, go to Youmail.com. If you don't get it. All calls are forwarded there and you can put in the numbers you want to block. They get the message that your number is disconnected. They call for a while until they take your number out of their system. Any appreciation can be sent to 7115 S Carter Road; Lakeland, Florida 33813, I hope everyone uses this website to finally put telemarketers out of business. I don't own any stock in this company.

i have received so many unwanted phone calls from this company/number.
The worst part is I began receiving calls from the same company around a year ago with a different #.
AFTER MANY attempts to stop the calls I finally told them that i had the police on the line -because they continued to harrass me!-I stated the callers name back to them on the phone and then began to (pretend) to have a police officer on the line-IT WORKED!
The calls stopped for about a month-
NOW it is the same company with this new #. I am so sick of this.

Caller claiming to be representing a Canadian pharmacy calls repeatedly; i.e. Dec 27 & 29, 2012, then again Jan 1 & 5, 2013. I have talked nice and bad to these people, wanting them to stop calling, but they persist.

These maggots change their number once a week to get around your call blocking. All different area codes too. I have begged, requested, threatened, screamed, cursed them out etc. They simply will never stop calling. I only wish I knew where they were located. I would be paying them a little visit with a baseball bat.
| Ray in McLean, VA 2013-01-05 15:39:39 Unknown |
Just ignore them. But I love the idea of forwarding their calls to a drug-enforcement agency!
| Fred Barnes 2013-01-05 01:36:34 Telemarketer |
The three letter agencies will not help. Asking, telling, begging the druggies to quit will not help. Threatening them, yelling at them, cursing them and cajoling them will not help. There IS a solution...
Go to http://digitone.com and spend the hundred bucks for their call blocking hardware for landline phones. It works. You get a call from the drug pushers, you tell the digitone to block their future calls. End of problem. No, I don't work for them - I'm a happy customer and my wife very much appreciates the huge reduction in these kinds of annoying calls.
