Odd phone call from an Ivy to set-up an appointment for help identify printing customers for us.  When I quizzed her more it was obvious she was from a business consulting company.  Then I asked her the company name again and their website.   She gave me www.sms-na.com.   Low and behold not IPA, SMS all over again with their hassling phone calls.

Take me off your call list!!

We had a visit from them at our office yesterday...the guy came in to our office and lied about having an appointment with our owner....once we figured out he really didn't have an appointment, I told him that our owner had another appointment and wouldn't be able to see him....so he leaves (or so we thought!)....20 minutes later, he is back in our reception area saying "I was told that ****** had another appointment and I've been sitting out in my car and haven't seen anyone come in here, so do you think I could see him?"!!!!!  I went back up front, told him to get out and suggested it was not a good idea for him to ever return!  This was all before I googled SMS-NA and discovered what kind of pond scum we were actually dealing with! Now I know all these 224 area code calls are tied to our little visit yesterday...unbelievable!

I understand where you're coming from  but as a GK myself, I get in trouble if I just transfer a telemarketer call to his office, so I have to ask a bunch of questions to make sure it's a legit call. And why must you guys call more than 3 times a day? My desk phone has caller ID so I'm on to you guys now. The owners will NEVER be in the office nor available to talk.

i went through an interview with Tom Warda and Barbara Gamm and Rick Kohler about 10 months ago.  They both said that I was qualified, etc. etc.    They arranged for me to fly out to their office in IL. in May 2011.   They scheduled everything.  I had to re-arrange my schedule so I called them and they re-scheduled me for the next class. - 1 month later.    Then, I was all set to go and I get this email from them stating that they have terminated their offer because I didn't call them back between the time I requested to change my training date until the new class.  I sent numerous emails to them and called, however they say I never replied or received the messages respectively.   Did they ever think to check their email accounts to see if my messages were in their spam account? - or that they voice mails go unanswered?   Their first interviewer knew my name.  When I called him back he asked who I was.     When I called their offices, the receptionist acted like she was screening calls from the FBI -  terrified that why I was asking for a person who worked there.  You can tell the tension in her voice.   I left messages for Barbara and she never called back.   I finally did more research everyone.   They train their new employees on metrics that have been used in the past to turn around businesses - what business should have and should not have (Goldratt Metrics).   All data is compiled and a boiler plate report is printed and provided to their  their customers?   How could a Business Analyst good into a company and in less then 2 days produce an analysis on a metric system that worked over 20 years ago?  Anyway I can go on and on but, I must make one statement that everyone already knows about.  If someone has hired you and pays you $1,000 to go through 9 days of training class - there is something wrong.  If their company is charging $285 per hour to the customer, why are their consultants averaging $25 per hour and doing all of the work.  90% of their hourly rate goes to the company for your work - which essentially means you are paid on commission (flying 6 days a week- and we will bring you home on Friday).   The complete stress of flying and living in a hotel for ~$1,000 per week (if you meet your targeted numbers) is unreasonable.   Regardless of the complaints of the company, due diligence is a must for everyone.  GR, GPA, ABS IPA, etc.  Companies formed in New Mexico, registered in Arizona, California and doing business in IL?  Now LLC's.   One company is registered at the residence of one of their Executives.  Granted the house in IL (worth $1,000,000) should not be a place to register a company $200,000,000 revenue company.    This is the red flag, especially when they boast that the turn over $200,000,000 in revenue.  Good luck everyone.   I wish there were more employees providing their experiences, the number of years they worked there - and most importantly the behaviors of the President, EVP's and how HR hires you and then fires you.  Thank you for airing out my frustrations.

No legitimate client will ever refuse outright to leave a message. Nor will my boss's friends.
It's wasting my time at work!
The man asked for owner by name. Told he was not in the office and asked if I could help him, the guy said "no, I'm good" and hung up.

this information is accurate.

The company opens businesses under different names, both real and fictitious, and constantly changes website addresses.

They are horrible.
But try and be nice to them or you'll spend eternity with them.

Called several times yesterday to talk to the owner, rude to those of us that answered the phone. Won't leave voice mails or call back number.  Upset when you won't provide cell numbers.  We did receive a faxed document because they were coming to introduce themselves to the owner. However after googling the name and phone number and reading all the comments we will be ready for them if and when they show up.  To bad they don't this much time on a "real" job instead of being a PITA.

This guy called the last couple of days. He called just now and asked for my boss's cell phone number. I told him that I wasn't obligated to give out that information. He was rude and hung up. I love these types of phone calls, because I get to mess with these types of people. I forward them to fax machines. Tell them my bosses name is "put 'em on hold" and then they ask to speak with him. Its good times with telemarketers that can't take a hint. SMS good luck to you!

These guys (SMS) sucked me in before, under the name IBS. I told them, after numerous attempts, to never call again. It IS a con. They pretend to be able to build up businesses and just hand off the consultation to a local cheap accountant/bookkeeper who will ask for your accounting records and charge you $US300 for it. You will get nothing in return except more demands for money for vague services. They DO NOT ACCEPT NO for an answer. You HAVE TO HANG UP. They're so stupid that they'll call you again regularly every 6 months, no matter what you do or say. They have obviously changed their operating name now to avoid detection. They are very evasive on the phone and refuse to send you any thing in writing or email. They insist on a "2-3 minute" consultation "just to introduce themselves", with no explanation as to what they will offer.
........RUN AWAY!!!!!

This turkey tried to sell business consultation as "SMS Services."  It's a tired old sham business where they put some handouts together and promise increased profits.  Years ago a similar outfit tried this same hackneyed crap and I strung them along for three meetings and then brought my whole staff in for their big sales pitch.  We laughed them out of the building.  I'm older now and don't have time for this game, but it might be fun for one of you to try... you could tape it and get famous on you tube!

The moron could not understand the words "not interested" 16 time I think I repeated it, he kept saying what is the reason. I should have hung up but I think I am too nice .. claims to be from a new company in my area named SMS, he is a fraud and certified moron ...
