Both my husband and I received calls within 24 hours with the same message. Is this a cell phone provider confidentiality breach? Phone # was "unavailable"

I also got the call at 3:20 am.  Luckily my cell phone was not in the bedroom.  Hard times seem to bring out the scammers.  With all the thought they put into this, they should do something productive...ok, just not at 3 in the morning!

I got a call from this number saying it was Suntrust and that my card was de-activated.  I do have a card from Suntrust and had just used.  I put in my card number and pin stupidly and it said my card was re-activated.  I called Suntrust and they said they never ask for a pin on a pre-recored mesaage.  I thought about and called Suntrust and they cancelled the card.

DON'T give them your pin.  Scammers

This caller was calling from Affordable Phones. I suppose they are a phone company. The caller told me that someone who knows me gave them my number and... I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT WANT ANYONE CALLING ME TO SALE ME ANYTHING!!!!  If they want to get me to try their services then they should send me something in the regular mail because I would certainly give it more credence and everyone wants a less expensive phone bill! But calling me on my phone and causing me to be upset and think that something is wrong is not the way to get business!!

I got a call from this number but had my phone on silent so didn't hear it when it rang. But at 1:00 in the morning that same night I got a call from an "866" phone number, answered it and it was an automated voice claiming it was Suntrust stating my debit card was blocked and to press "1" if I wanted to reactivate it. I don't have an account at Suntrust but almost pressed it out of curiosity but didn't. I actually decided to call the number back and got a voicemail type message stating their normal working office hours and that I was calling during the off times. BUT, it never mentioned being a Suntrust call center. Definitely sounds fraudulent to me!

I got the call just now about my Mastercard through Suntrust (whom I don't even associate with) being locked and asking me to press 1 and speak with the "security department." I actually pressed 1, hoping that I might speak to the a***ole that called me at one in the morning, but unfortunately it was just more, "please give me your personal information blah blah blah." Damn scammers. >_>

Received a phone call from this number on 12/12/10 at 12:10am telling me that they regret to inform me that my SunTrust Card has been deactivated. I am not a SunTrust card holder. Tried calling them back & got a busy signal.

I received a call from this number at 6:46 this evening. The recorded message said a bank name, Sun Trust, whom I do not bank with. It said my "credit card was on hold, press 1 to be transferred to the security release...." I was on the road, and ended the call. I looked up the number online and found this site, so I am grateful that I ended the call.

got a robot call, from them at 14:35, 25-nov-2010. It claimed to be calling from JP Morgan/Chase and that I needed to "hit 1" to talk to a rep about problems...  If I hadn't been driving I'd have checked in.

Oh, and this was to my "area code 917", as in NYC based, cell phone...

Also got a call from this number Thanksgiving morning. An automated voice said it was from JPMorgan Chase and that my card had been deactivated. Asked me to press 1 to reactivate. I pressed 1. Asked for my CC number. I hung up. Called Chase Fraud Protection Department. They answer immediately. They all speak English. They told me my card is fine. Tried to call the number back to give them a piece of my mind, but got an automated message that the number is not in use.

11-25-10 -   Add another conspiracy / fraud to the list!

A synthetic voice from caller ID 225-663-5964 said "my card Chase / JP Morgan CC has been blocked and needed to be unlocked or renewed. It then asked me to acknowledge a couple of useless questions and then finally asked for the CC. I played along with two acknowledgments until the system prompted for the CC.

I called Chase at the number on the back of my CC and reached the Chase outsourced customer center in the Phillipines.  These representatives are completely unable to do anything with customers that actually speak and talk and ask questions with fraud.

I escalated to "Shelby" in Chicago who suggested that I email abuse@chase.com. This email is a catchall for everything including Email abuse.  What a joke!

As a Chase customer I am incensed that this problem has been going on for at least year (according to the posts to this site) from this same called ID number.

This phone call was directed to me, somehow they KNEW I was a Chase customer. What are the chances that I have never received such a call in the past, and that at 9:00 AM on Thanksgiving holiday morning I get this call?

Why can't someone at Chase stop a conspiracy to commit fraud?  The rep said they can only prosecute people who have committed CC fraud. That is completely wrong - conspiracy to commit a fraud is a crime - duh!

Chase needs to get on the ball, or I will l find a way to use fewer and fewer CC services from them.

Any time Chase wants to call me and investigate they can call 212-666-5700

This number called me at 3:30 am on the 16th of November. I was afraid one of my children had been in an accident or there was another emergency. No one was on the line, then I heard a "click". I didn't appreciate being woken up or scared something was wrong. Why can't something be done about these calls. This isn't the first time this has happened.

Just got a call from this number. I didn't pick up since I don't know anyone in LA.  They wouldn't have gotten much from me because I don't own any credit cards. Unfortunately they woke my 2 month old :(
