This guy said he had papers for me to sign about my death policy i had with a union that i haven't been in for the last five years. Said i was still offered the policy even though i wasn't in the union anymore and that i had to sign papers. He came over and knew NOTHING about what he was doing or talking about. Then proceeded to catch an attitude because i caught on to his SCAM that he was there trying to sell me life insurance and i told him i wasn't interested. Scary part is i was stupid enough to let him come to my house and now he knows where we live. What should i do now?

I get several of these calls on my cell phone everyday. When I don't answer my cell I get a call from them on my work phone. This is getting so stupid and annoying!!

I know this number is a scam. I didn't get a phone call, but got an e-mail saying that it's from the FBI. It said that my bank account had been compromised and if I did not call them and give them my debit card number in 48 hours, they would suspend my account. I know the FBI would never contact you via e-mail about your bank account. The return address is not-reply@fbi.gov, If you get this e-mail and find yourselves at this post - after googling their phone number - don't call them. I have marked this as a phishing scam to my e-mail carrier.

We received it too. Blatantly a scam, but funny nevertheless. Keep in mind the 225-910-6410 is probably a repeated to an offshore number. The person who wrote the scam probably does not have English as a first language.
Cute they put the copyright notice at the bottom of the page. It's an indicator they are not American; generally speaking, anything produced by the U.S. federal government is not copyrighted by way of U.S. Code.

Got the same email too. It amazes me - I think if I was trying to scam someone I would at least take the time to use a spell checker! If the mispellings and grammar errors don't tip you off - nothing will.

I received the same email from telephone number: 225-910-6410. This is a scam and I and several independent investigators are looking into this as of 03/09/09.
