7 min agoThey called, I pushed 9 to tell them I'm on the National Do Not Call list ... man came on saying that he didn't have a way to remove me from the list, but gave me the phone number of some poor lady in Denver .... told me she "constructs our list".  No, she's just one of us and they are doing this to harrass this woman.  These people are evil and mean spirited. We all need to report them.

Called and got my answer machine.  Eventually they hung up without leaving a message.  No information on the caller - only the phone number was listed on caller i.d.   I am also on the National Do Not Call List

Received a call and no one answered.

I just received a call from this number. To speak to a representative I entered 9. The female that answered asked if I was calling in reference to "getting a cheaper interest rate". She asked me some questions about my credit card debt. I was asked if I knew approximately how much I owe in credit card debt. I told her I had no idea. She repeated that to me, in a question. I said no, and she SLAMMED the phone down. Very rude !!!! I wish I hadn't even bothered to respond.

Uh-how do you get a call while your talking on the telephone already?  It would seem you would have to hang the phone up first and then receive this call.  Please explain how they could interrupt you if you do as stated in your comment

I let the call go to voicemail when I did not recognize the number.  Then I did a search and ended up here.  Glad I ignored it!

Informed them I don't have a Frickin' credit card and to quit calling me!!!!!!!   they have called more than once and I keep telling them to STOP calling me!!!!!!!!

Got repeated calls from this number, no messages, I put a block on my phone, now my phone hangs up on them after one ring.

It's a new year and old scams emerging. I'm beginning to believe that registering on the DO NOT CALL list is just one more way to be assured you will get these scam calls with nothing you can do to stop them. Why on earth would you give a total stranger from this number any private information about your financial affairs?!

This number showed up as a missed call for me.  No message left.

I just got a call from this number, pressed 9 as most of you to tell them to take me off their list. I told him I didn't have any credit cards, and to take me off the list. He said, "Bull S***" He said that to me twice. I was so shocked. I hung up. yucky. Why don't they stop it, obviously comes in as the same number to everyone.

Just received a call from this number.  Caller ID reads Ontario.  I let it go to the answering machine.  Once it picked up they hung up.

I got a call from this number earlier this afternoon. I pressed "9" to reach the "office so I could tell them to take me off their list and inform them that I was on a Do not call list.   When I asked for the specific name of their company he just keep saying Credit Card Services.  I asked for their main telephone number so that I could confirm who he was and gave an example that just because someone says they are someone does not mean they are.  He started to scream  the F word at me (like what he said to the Just Me lady in other post) and other crude terms which were as bad or worse.  He said he would keep calling me back and finally hung up.   I called the Oregon Atty Generals complaint line and they said the person is a scammer and is most likely from out of the country and not much they could do about it.  It appears that they are from Ontario Canada judging from my called ID but can't even be sure about that as she said he could be from anywhere.   She said it is just best not to answer the phone if you have caller and do not recognize the number.  Too bad this scammer guy does not put all that energy into getting a real honest job!

these guys just called, card services, computer voice, pressed 9 and got some tough dude on the line I asked him "who is this" and he said "card services we work directly with visa and mastercard" and I said I want to be taken off the list and he HUNG UP ON ME

Just got a call from these scammers and did as most of you...pressed 9 and said I was on a do not call list. He proceeded to ask what credit card I was calling about and when I said I did not have any credit cards, he told me I sounded like I had an attitude and perhaps it was that time of the month and i needed to go take some Midol. This group needs to be stopped! It was not the first time they have called but is the first time I answered, only to try to ask them to remove me from their call list as I am on the DoNotCall List

About 30 minutes ago I got a call from this number. I pressed "9" to reach the "office. A guy named "Dan" came on the line and I asked if he was aware that my number is on the DONOTCALL list.

He informed me that, "That doesn't matter, because we work for ALL credit card companies and you have unpaid debt on one of your cards."

I informed him "No, I do not" and he SCREAMED at me, "YES YOU DO! YOU STUPID F______ B____!"

Then he hung up. I reported the number to the DONOTCALL list.

Take a look at the number - it isn't a real working phone number.  The three 0's in the center give it away.  Call is probably generated outside US so do not call list does not work.  They get paid if you answer the phone regardless of whether or not you buy into their scam.  Never answer the phone if you do not recognize the number.  Once you answer they will sell your number to other scam artists.  There is nothing we can do to stop it because the calls come from outside the US.

I just rec'd a call from 226-000-2265 regarding lowering my credit card interest rate.  I asked the man who he was & what credit card co. he was from.  He VERY RUDELY told me I should know what co. he's from if I have a credit card!!   He asked me what kind of card I have, Visa or Mastercard.  I called him a "not very nice name" & told him I'll verify his offer with my banking institution.  He laughed & replied they will not tell me anything.  He told me he can't believe how stupid people are that don't want to lower their interest rate!!   I, again, said something not very nice to him & he said, "whatever" & hung up.  MY PERSONAL OPINION:  I fear for those people who are totally caught off guard & unaware who are talked right into revealing credit card info to these people.  It can happen so quickly.  WE MUST STOP THIS!!!!

Got a call from this number while I was talking on the phone. They did not leave a message. (8/30/2010)

Called to offer me to lower my credit card rates.  Press 9 if you want to talk to a representative.  When I did, someone came on and said they could lower my rates.  I asked if it was a telemarketing call, and was hung up on....mmmmm, scam????
