Good grief...these people must have robo-dail set on HIGH...I just got the call as well!

This group first called me from 228-209-9560 and then called me again from this number. Left a voice mail and a 1-800 number if I want to cut my monthly payments on my credit card. Not automated- actual person and talked as if she personally knew me

Received call on my cell yesterday and this evening.  First # was 1-818-864-3253 saying it was urgent that there is a problem with my bank card, I think, it was not very clear.  The 2nd call this evening came from a different #1-512-686-0208, and I called the number, but there was so much static and breaks, I could not understand a word of it.

My fear is that by just putting in these calls, they can get information on you by going to your cell phone company.  Concerned.

Got a bogus call from this number. Tried to talk but they hung up. Maybe their call center was too busy to talk to me.

This number 228.209.3685 called me up ... he;s name says steve ... and was talking about credit card's low interest rates, policy changes and so on. I keep saying hello, hello, hello but he talked interruptably and not responding, then he hang up.

I called back again ... but this number is no longer in service ... how come they using this for calling people like me??

Got a call at 10.53 from this number. It was a cleaning service based in Tampa Bay, Florida. The callback number she left was a 727 area code. Either someone zigged when they should have zagged or people are using the 228 number to spoof (see above posts about disconnected lines)? Not sure how it works.

They keep calling my g/f -- it is a SCAM!!!  Pretty much, they'll ask you if you want to lower your interest rate, then ask for your credit card number.  My girlfriend kept the lady on the line playing it up and then when they asked for her CC#, she responded, "Just so you know, I have known this is a scam and I'm wasting your time so you have less time to bother anyone else."

The lady on the other line started spewing forth insults towards my g/f calling her a "w***e," "crack w***e," "b***h," etc. all the while we were both listening on the other end going, "Uh-huh...  yeah...  oh, we're so awful..."

Do not give them any personal information.

They called said hello. I asked who it was and they didn't answer. When I called back the line was disconnected

I received a call from 228-209-3685 on my landline as I don't have a cell phone.  The caller ID on my DirecTV said Lowell, Lillie.  I didn't answer it and no one left a message.  Since then my 30 days are up to be placed on the "Do not call list" so hopefully I won't receive any more calls from this line or I can sue.  Additionally I am not in trouble with any credit card company.

Just got a call from this number and then they sent me a text message asking me to 'PLEASE CALL'.  They didn't leave a message.  Very odd.

They called me an left a voicemail, the guy didn't even talk all the way, only finished the last part of his sentence.  Gave me a number an said "Call me back, this is Steve" I never talked to him before.

I got the call and I answered it ojn the first ring.  A guy on the Other end said "Oh UH Hi......" Then hung up if called back the number plays a recording saying it is no longer in service but I bet that is just set as a ringback type thing and it actually is ringing on their end.

Called GV number; left message. Appears caller "knows" me. Asked for a return call to an 800 number. Not concerned with it and will not be calling back or answering calls from this number.

The same thing happened to me. The person said there name was Steve and offered me a 1.5% interest rate but didn't say for what. It was very strange, when I called back the number was not in service.

I got thsi call 5 times a day. I pressed 1 and the persos talks and then hands up abruptly.

I just received a call from this number, I was able to answer in time, and like others the guy just said "Hello" after but then hung up on me.  Hopefully they come to understand the legalities of soliciting to a cell phone number the hard way.

Same scam....

"Steve" called said based upon new regulations, wanted to lock me in to new lower rates (as low as 1.5%!) through their non-profit.

Took the 1-800 #, and the recording and forwarded it to the FCC. Clearly a scam and illegal - this was my cell phone, and it's on the do not call list.

I believe a business using a fake caller id # is also illegal.

I called it back from my work line which is where they called me from and a lady answered with the spanish hello. Definite scam of some sort. A few minutes later a local phone call came in stating that someone called them. They are using different phone numbers.

Received a call on my cell, did not answer, jotted down the phone number and googled.....call came from Biloxi, MS - Harrison County.  Know it is a robo call type. Did nothing further.  Those ppl are fidiots!

Just got a call from this same number on my cell. I'm at work, didn't recognize it so I didn't answer. They left a VM, from "Steve Will" re: credit card debit and some new program to cut the debt in half. *insert eye roll* I don't even HAVE credit cards, NONE.

Call sounded like a bad connect/ machine then hung up.   I returned call got disconnected message.

Same thing happened to me, same number too. wtf is going on?

They just called my cell.  Said hello and then hung up.  How do you do a scam if you just hang up?  I only have so many minutes on my phone as it is used for emergencies only, so it is quite annoying to have them used up by these kind of calls.

Ok so it called my cell phone first... then called my google voice account number (which isn't directly connected to my cell).

I don't know who these people are but it looks to me to be some sort of high-level spammer...

Google Voice transcoded the vm as "I want, it's me.  Steve gimme a call. 1-800-321-8451.  Thanks"  I'm at work so I can't listen to the audio version of the VM.

Just received the call from these people. Called me by someone else’s name. Said his name was Steve Will. Told me the same story about lowering my interest rates to 1.5%. This is a total scam and under no circumstance give them any information. They will get your info and do God knows what. Good luck.

I just had the same thing happen. It sounded like a MAJOR scam. No business was identified.
