Another thing you can do to cripple them is to send an email to abuse@ whatever domain the scammer's using and ask the domain admin to terminate all email accounts traceable to the scammer. This may work if they're still using live.fr because live.fr is owned by Microsoft France and Microsoft will take action against criminals.

Its the classic Nigerian Scam.  There are several variations.

1)  You contact the sender.  He asks for your bank account number so he can transfer the money to you.  You give it to him. He empties your bank account and vanishes.  You nevers see your money again.

2)  You contact the sender.  He tells you to open a bank account in another country using $$$$$ of your own money, listing him as co-owner of the account.  You do like he says.  He empties the account and vanishes.  You never see your money again.  

3)  You contact the sender.  He tells you the money is in cash in a locked box somewhere near you.  He will send you the key after you send him $$$$ for his effort.  You do like he says.  He takes your money and vanishes.  You never see your money again.

There may be other variations.  But all of them have you giving your money to the caller and him vanishing without giving you anything.  

No, its not a virus.  But it is a scam.  Its been floating on the interenet forever, and in snail mail and fax machines before that.  Delete the message.
