Yellow page listing. I just hang up on them. I use to tell them I could not verify any info over the phone, it would have to be done in writing to our company but now I just "click"

Another bogus Online YP ad from some thick accented woman whose name is "donna"  i let her say her spiel and i just sat there in silence and then went "click".  I am tired of wasting my breath telling them not to call, i will not verify anything, or quit calling.  Because it does no good they just keep calling back.  Now i Just hang up and say nothing.

These stupid morons..keep calling using different spam numbers.Trying yellow pages to con edison and what else..Is there anyone out there,who would like to start a class action suit about this idiots will be a good idea
to put them out of business - of course they will open up in a different name..doing same garbage.

There is a scam tageted at small/tiny businesses whereby you get cold-called for a free listing somewhere and then receive an invoice for it. During the call, the scammer will ask you to verify stuff (see VON's post above), the idea being to get you to say "yes" a few times, then they splice authorization questions into the tape so it sounds like you'd agreed to pay for it. When you contest the invoice, they'll insist you'd agreed to it on tape and you'll be harassed and threatened with a lawsuit. Many small/tiny businesses pay them to go away. Am not saying this is what's happening here but please be aware this scam exists. Please spread the word to business owners you know.

YPL. Yes, they call from different numbers. Anyways, it's sad because they recognize my voice & know my name. LOL. They end up hanging up on me. Why do they keep calling? Why?

Have received repeated calls from this number.  The caller's are trying to get business information offering a free yellow pages listing.  They won't say anything about their company and it is very difficult to understand them due to a thick middle eastern accent.  They refuse to remove my phone number from their database, and are very rude/forceful.  I'm not sure what they are trying to get, but their tactics are less than pleasant.
